Well I can’t say I’ve been watching for 17 years or 20 seasons, but I have been along for the ride for about a decade!
Thanks for the endless dedication to the grind y’all!
Respect 🫡
Gotta leave an extra comment for that 20-ish years of podcasting!
I think its about 10 years since I was just getting into the NBA through the 2K games, watching Chris Smoove uploads daily.
One day I was recommended a show called The Starters, and the rest is history. You became part ol my morning routine before going to high school, and I still watch you daily before/during/after work.
Appreciate all you have done and continue to do for me, for everyone else here and everybody in the basketball community.
Hope you keep the best podcast/show running for another 20-ish. Peace ✌️
0:42 Super Producer JD with the Marty McFly voice break 😂
49.5 for Dallas is a joke. Since the trade deadline they were on a 60 win pace. Lively is going to be a beast. Luka scored 34/9/9, Kyrie added 25/5/5 while shooting 50/40/90 splits. Grimes is easily replacing DJJ. Now they add spacing. This team is only getting better.
Do a over/under on wedgies too
Are you guys going to review the Starting 5 docuseries?
Maybe. Is it even any good? - JE
@@NoDunksInc starting to watch it now literally just now. SPOILER - wedgie alert ‼️
Best pod in the world!! 20 years!!
Let's goooooo the east pod was great looking forward to this one!
Blessings.
NAZ REID🗿Wolves easy 60 wins
NAZ REID❤
60+
NAZ REID
Naz Reid!!!
Reid and Randle hold a candle.55 wins Divincenzo great player !!
Under 60
💯
That middle guy again dissing the mavs
Wanted to hear a recap of your locks🔒 from last year
43:52 Naz Reid.
Remember the times you guys were looking for 50k subs and now flying over 100k... Congrats!! What's the target for this season??? Over/Under 125k?
One million.
How on earth did any of you argue that the Mavs are going to be WORSE than last year???? Not only were they one of the most injured teams before the trade deadline, but their most played lineup until May was Doncic - Irving - DJJ - Grant Williams - Lively with a total of 99 minutes across 12 games. That was the 109th most played lineup in the league last season. For comparison, the Nuggets ended up playing their starting 5 for 958 minutes across 48 games and the Thunder did so for 799 minutes across 63 games.
If we take a look at personnel:
Doncic = Doncic
Irving > 58 game Irving
Naji > DJJ
PJ Washington >>>>> Williams
Lively >>> rookie Lively
Klay >>> THJ
Gafford >>>>>>>>> Powell
Grimes >> Green
Hardy > 2nd year Hardy
Kleber 43 game Kleber
Exum (injured for 3 months) < 55 game Exum
Dinwiddie >>> Seth Curry
I really don't think it's close how much better they are than last year, which was reflected on the 16-2 end of the season and the Finals run.
I've never gambled in my life and I don't want to begin to, but the over is so clear that I'm considering betting on it
You guys need to do a tutorial explaining these betting odds. You'll get a ton of views and I would know wtf over/under actually means!
Over/under bets are extremely simple: Do you think Team X will win MORE (over) or LESS (under) than X amount of wins listed by Vegas. That's why they usually include a .5 - you have to go over or under that team win total. - JE
you have now been educated
@@NoDunksIncSkeetstrodomus!
@@Equilyzr😂
Utah under 30 wins has to be the biggest lock I've ever seen
Taz Keep sleeping on the MAVS just like last season and then boom nba finals 😂😂😂
I find it fucking irritating when people say they were playing mediocre befroe the trade.... they were injured before the trade deadline. They were amongst the most injured teams first half of the season.
3rd in LEBRON missed games after the Hornets and the Grizzlies
Its gonna be a dark year for my jazz but at least we got a top 2 jersey roster coming next year
Beauties.
I think the Thunder will still be either the #1 or #2 seed most likely but I don't think they will get quite as many wins doing it. Close maybe. I think the West will be so competitive that the top team will maybe finish with 54-55 wins. I think the top teams in the East will be right at 50 wins aside from Boston, who might get to 54-55 wins. And I think that bottom half of the East will be where top teams get a lot of wins to even break 50 wins.
Trey thinks DJJ is prime kawhii if he thinks their defense will go from one of the best defenses to bad replacing him with klay, naji and grimes
Mid is not bad. They were 18th last season, middle of the pack. Reasonable to expect the same, maybe slightly worse. -- TK
@@NoDunksIncThey can have solid rim protection all 48 minutes as long as Gafford and Lively are healthy. They didn't have that most of last season which is why they were middle of the pack. As soon as that became true that became a top defense which continued into the playoffs and got them to the finals. Predicting worse than 18th in the league is not a reasonable expectation it is an asinine assessment.
@@NoDunksInc But they were 2nd after the roster reconstruction at deadline
With the mavs i think you failed to mention depth. Our second unit in the regular season should outmatch most which id imagine will lead to easily more than 50 wins in the regular season. Defense is obviously questionable but i trust kidd to figure that end out.
Mavs were only at 50 because team was injured all season… Mavs can be easily 55-58 wins
Your 2nd unit has Spencer dinwiddle and you just said it would outmatch most 2nd unit benches lol be real lmfao
@@aximus11 if you think its just spencer then you dont know ball 🤣

SEASON IS SO FING BACK ❤
As a jazz fan I love the last 2 drafts think we got value picks at every spot but I can also tell you that they will not win a lot of games the way they are because for every good play/game the young guys have they have a rookie mistake or terrible game to go with it and it’s hard to win when you are playing 7 guys under 23
Crazy how the talking point of the Minnesota Timberwolves is all about Julius Randle when obviously Minnesota made this trade to get Donte D. He shoots 40% with 9 threes a game, KAT only shot like 4 or 5 threes, their offense gets better and obviously there is some spacing issues(MAYBE) but they could literally start NAZ REID and they would be a top 10 offense just based off of starting lineup. With rob Dillingham and Donte Neckeil, there shouldn’t even be a question on if they improved or not with losing KAT. If anything if the spacing is off they have Julius as a trade piece which is why they wanted him in the first place. Minnesota execs literally said that they think there’s not that much of a difference between KAT and NAZ REID, Come on guys
I like okc they not talked about enough bc small market and they “young” but they got great chemistry like nova Knicks, hope they get more national games
I think the Rockets are gonna shock everybody this year! They should obviously be better this year but a ton of people have them finishing worse than last year! I know that Memphis should be back but I see the Clippers falling on down around .500 or so. Who knows with Golden State, but I feel like they are another team that could slip. The Suns too! Minnesota got just a tad bit worse I think but should still easily be a playoff team with home court in the first round barring major injuries. I'm not saying Houston will go 72-10 or anything of the like but too many folks have them finishing like 13th in the West after finishing 11th last year with a new coach, new vets, and a bunch of young guys. And they are basically adding Reed Sheppard, Tari Eason, and Steven Adams to a 41-41 squad from last year. Ain't no way!
Wemby for MVP
It sounds insane and I don’t expect it to happen but imagine the Bucks get off to a horrible start and the Rockets offer a great package for Giannis. Is that impossible? Maybe, but man would it be fun.
Jokic is simply the best player in the world.. his last 4 years, MVP/MVP/FMVP/MVP.
He always beats the over/under expectations for the Nuggets.
speaking about that harden move - i didn't think you got a pump-fake pass step on top of the gather step and then you count the 2nd step - it really looked like traveling
bring a live show to Denver and I'm there man! you can go catch the best player on the planet too
skeets i know you were kind of apprehensive but i am smashing the lakers’ under. it’s unfortunate but a healthy season is the anomaly for AD. like kawhi last season was an outlier. i am buying the JJ redick stock though
Certainly the first time the expression Vit Krejci-verse has been uttered
Not the last.
As long as Draymond is on the team the Warriors will always have drama.
On the Jazz, do you think they've sort of bungled this rebuilding process? I feel like they didn't think Lauri would be this good so they have this guy in his prime that they just extended who is going to be sitting around while the team tanks again. If they get Cooper I guess it doesn't matter.
They still have a million picks coming from the Mitchell/Gobert trades. They haven't even totally started the rebuild.
Kings gonna have a top ten defense
SMASH THE 👍 BUTTON FOR 'THE STARTERS': WESTERN CONFERENCE PREVIEW EDITION ..
iHart will be coming off the bench. Caruso will take Giddey’s starting spot.
A lot less temper boy moments without Leigh Pee
I think you are being a bit bitter and unfair about Vezenkov - he played only half of the Games with only 12 minutes and still had 37,5% on 3s from the bench. He was not given a proper chance in California.
This is true
OKC 65 + wins !!
29:57 I saw the mouse
I still think naji Marshall will start for the mavs
And klay the sixth man
Mav’s will be a 60 win team. You heard it here first.
Time stamps for Wolves and OKC need to be switched ;)
Good call. Thanks. -Tas
Boys… I love ya, but when you’re talking specific numbers, it’s FEWER, not LESS. ❤
Why does it feel like y'all went over on all these teams for the most part? 😂😂😂
Nuggets 51 under
To the wolves hater on the show, lemme answer your questions in order so you don’t sound so uninformed on a preview podcast. First about the spacing, Randle has never had a center that can shot, people still guard him to the three (partly cause otherwise he’ll get a head of steam) and the first year of gobert was tough for a variety of reasons (dlo hated him, kat hurt, ant being a non playmaking 21yo). Y’all were talking it was great to have two seven footers after you thought it was awful post trade. So what are your other concerns cause there’s lots of hand waving. Top 5 defense after being top by a mile last year and it wasn’t cause of kat contrary to what people remember about the Denver series. Sure you might have different feelings about Randle but acting like he won’t be about to be a second scorer and shot creator for the bench is laughable. There are less established bench engines on most teams and lord knows kat wasn’t that at all. Another terrible anti wolves argument
WOW the kings upgrade Barnes with DeRozan and we are the same as last year? Ellis, Murray are no defenders also when you have Fox played his ass off on both ends and he also lead the league in steals. god i cant wait for the season to start
Exactly bro. The disrespect is unreal.
If Bronny is the Lakers’ scapegoat this year 🤣😭💀
Going over on Memphis is a mistake. Ja cant stay healthy
Is this podcast a worthwhile Lowe Post replacement?
Yes.
Vezenkov is good, TK. It was his rookie season and he was injured for like 3 months. Give me a better player internationally than Vezenkov today, he is definitely in the mix.
Cedi Osman should get another chance before Vezenkov.
@@NoDunksInc You underestimating Vezenkov, you barely see him. First time overseas, new rules, new team, and he was injured half the time.
Vezenkov is not on ball creator, but he is 6'9 off ball master he could fit as role player, but he didn't want to be on a tanking team.
@@NoDunksInc Vezenkov, MVP of round 2. Osman is just decent role player on a EL contender, Vezenkov is MVP candidate, he is noticeably better player than Osman. You should know better than judge a guy from his sole rookie season where most things went wrong.
GMs who voted Vezenkov were the only ones that got it right. The other answers were insulting. Nolan Traore, a teenager from no name team, or Boban, who is third string center on his own team and just collected a DNP-CD in second round.
The Mavs should be the easiest over in the west. You were told you were underrating the Mavs all season. They were better than their record showed and the only reason they weren't one of the top seeds was because of their injury luck. Having the second best record in the league down the stretch and then getting to the finals proved that was correct. Their is no doubt they are starting the season with a better roster than they did last season and assuming they aren't as unlucky with health this time it makes zero sense to assume their record will be no better than last season.
The Spurs are the easiest under.
Tas just isn't good at his job.
Fox had the most steals in the NBA last year. He’s not a defender???
Why do they don’t sleep after lakers games that’s satisfying for a Laker fan but Now it is Un fortunate that it is over
1 year, 6 months and 21 days of being sad about the chances of a NO CHAINS disc golf podcast :(
Grizz play-in ??? Hell nah

was tre jones the worst PG in the league?
NOOOOOOOO
@@NoDunksInc that’s what I thought too. I must have misheard the statement about Jones. I’ll rewatch it.
When James harden was with the rockets they were guaranteed a top seed in the playoffs so maybe he’s still got a 7th seed in him
Ah we're at the part of the season where people are convinced russ can help his new team lol
Steve Kerr lineups will cost us 5 games
Prepare for Melton at the 4
Call me a homer but the grizzlies are winning 50 games EASY

Did you write this comment from Moe's?
Well, I like your opinions a lot but about Vezenkov you went too disrespectful. He's very good, just didn't get fare chance in the NBA. Look at what he can do outside of NBA,where let's be honest the defence is better
Oh man, this trusting Westbrook exercise is going to bite you guys good later on, speaking as a salty Lakers fan who was quite annoyed people thought we were the problem and not him
He was not the problem, trading all your good role players for him was.
yall are sleeping on the Clippers
You are dreaming

that under on the warriors gotta be the safest bet across both conferences honestly
Under on every team except Dallas
Wemby He On A Mission This Season #NoDunks
