As a native Floridian who lived (suffered?) there for 42 years, I think back to an incident that occurred one night close to my home. A not so gentleman had a slight disagreement with his girlfriend and cut her head off. He was later reported to be making a disturbance at a Metro Station and a police officer was dispatched to investigate. Upon stepping onto the platform, the former boyfriend attacked the officer by throwing the severed head at him. Now, every time I read something about the Florida Man, my mind always reminds me of that night. Love your show, please keep doing these interesting broadcasts.

As a Floridian for the past 15 years (but a native of the Northeast), I'll admit, the first few years I was here, the Florida Man jokes were funny.
But considering the events of the past five years, it's no joke anymore.

See, now I used to think there were more teeth than people in Florida. Then I went there and I realized that just wasn’t true at all! It seemed like a lot of people had a whole tooth deficit thing going on.
I’d never seen someone with negative teeth before.
Now, I’m NOT saying it’s a trash state. I’m just saying that when sea levels rise about 6 inches and the whole state vanishes, the collective national IQ will rise significantly.

If you haven’t already, you need to do one on Rhode Island people don’t even realize it’s it’s own state sometimes how many times have I have going on vacation to other states and they don’t realize Rhode Island is this old state and that’s some Pop Long Island or whatever even when they have heard that they don’t fully understand basic information about it Who is people who have even deserve it don’t even realize they put a critical role in the formation of the US see if it was one of the 13 original colonies. It is a lot of lot of misconceptions about it. That’s the gist of people who have heard about it, but I’ve also heard people think that’s part of California because I guess this a region in California with the same name most people think it’s Papa Long Island for a few people think it’s part of California been stolen state which smack dab south of Massachusetts and white stacked up north of Connecticut if you’re driving interstate 95 from Connecticut to Massachusetts vice versa you gotta go right through it Please please cover a Rhode Island

    As always, another great video!
Since you suggested it, I would like to set the record straight regarding my home state of Oklahoma (in case anyone who has never been there thinks they know everything about it):
No, it is not all cowboys and native americans and horses and miles and miles of desert and "yee-hah, etc." Appearance-wise it is somewhere between Texas and Kansas. We wear t-shirts, jeans, and sneakers. And we are not surrounded by bison 24/7 (though there are some bison, and lots of deer).
I remember a teacher in middle school telling us about a family he became friends with while in California, and they decided to come and visit Oklahoma. Apparently the first thing the Californian family said when they arrived was "where are the indians?" They also dressed their children in cowboy costumes.
I don't remember how long ago this silliness occurred, and is thus not a reflection of California now, but if you ever plan on coming to Oklahoma, don't dress your kids in cowboy costumes.
Thank you for reading, and goodnight.

It also rains more in FL than WA. The difference is in FL you get a quick, heavy tropical down pour vs the steady but light rain of the Pacific Northwest. I learned this when planning a trip to Seattle and searching for months with the least rain. FL has a dry winter and wet summer where WA was the opposite.

Walt Disney’s parents were married and Paisley, Florida in Lake County. Walt oldest brother Robert was born in Florida. Walt’s mom’s maiden name was Call. The family had a joint piece of property called Disney-Call parcel Walt aunt lived there too and inspired a young Walt Disney to become an artist when he spent his summers in Florida. Walt’s Grandparents on his mom side are buried in a cemetery in Paisley, Florida. Paisley Florida is 40 miles from Walt Disney World in a straight line. So Walt was very much familiar with Central Florida as a young age

People online have asked me an uncomfortable amount of times if there's a lot of racism in New Hampshire. The first time I brushed it off as people were looking for racism everywhere during that time but I've been asked at least twice since then, putting the total amount to at least 3 in a 2 year span. It got me thinking, "Is that what people think of us?" There's is not much racism here, to clear the air

a lot of these strawman misconceptions that you are saying people say are "we think florida has the most of this crazy thing." when in actuality people are merely saying "Florida has A LOT of this crazy thing" ... which you are not really debunking if you say that florida is in second out of 50 states or just close to the top in general...
