To fix your funnel issue. Find a food can that fits on the lip of your bung on the poly barrel. Cut both ends of the can out. Hot glue the can to the surface of the funnel. That way when you sit it on the poly barrel it stands on its own. You could also build a wooden square collar to sit on top of the barrel so the funnel sits flush on top. Just a couple ideas.
