I got my Amsoil oil today!!! That was fast as usual 2 days to get here is incredible! Thanks Eben!! I’m doing my oil change on my Silverado and my Camry today!! Nothing like the Best Of Amsoil in my cars and only Amsoil!! I also got the upper cylinder lubricant from Amsoil too! I gotta fill up after I do the oil changes so the lube can do it’s magic!

Another great video Eben! I used to always use this valvoline or super tech gear oil, before I wised up and switched to amsoil, so it's good to have such a visual difference between them (especially when amsoil comes out on top 😁)

Where do you experience temperatures of -50c. Also the additional seal in the valvoline funnel I assume is so you can reseal the bottle.

I used redline gear oil for years in my cars. Redline carries 75w85 so I use that in my Tacoma's differentials. I use to like the fact that there was a company that gave a dam about supplying a specific grade for a certain car/truck. I had no complaints.. It was a little over a year ago that I started making the switch to Amsoil and let me tell you guys they are awesome.. They might not offer the 75w85 but let me tell you the Amsoil 75w90 100% synthetic is a far more superior product my Tacoma loves it. I was able to get 1mpg after switch.. It may not seem like much but anyone driving a Tacoma knows what I'm talking about.... #gasgussler. Thanks for the video Eben

I've been a customer and dealer for a couple of years now and just like your enthusiasm about Amsoil, this stuff is great. From one newbie Amsoil dealer to a more experienced dealer like yourself, what am I doing wrong? I have a 22year old Lincoln and from the performance improver in the tank to the gear lube in the rear differential. I'm sold. Keep making these video clips.

Great question Will these are different The one is 100% synthetic and has a much higher film strength The other one is a synthetic blend They can actually call a full synthetic full synthetic when it's only 25% synthetic or more So the Amsoil will hold up longer it won't oxidize as quick it won't thicken and it'll also keep the bearings running smoother longer and significantly extended life on the component because fluids break down exponentially

Would you do a cold flow comparison of different weights of the same brand gear oils? For example, Amsoil 75w90 vs Amsoil 75w140? Haven’t seen anyone film a comparison of different weights of gear oil.
Would you also consider testing SAE 50 transmission lube?

Great ideas Yes the SAE 50 would be a good one Thank you for the info and you'll see we do have some different viscosities You'll see the playlist under cold flows and you'll see that on the homepage you'll see they're very close because they're both 75w8 They almost flow in exactly the same temperature and if you want to see that temperature click on technical bulletin under the product and it'll actually give you the full data sheet on everything film strength where scars all the way down to what temperature it flows at Thanks again for the great suggestions and being a part of my RUclips community 💯😊

It depends on the equipment Vehicles components Transmissions there's a lot of variables one thing to keep in mind up to 80% of the wear on a motor can occur during the cold start and that's a very vulnerable time when you start the engine the only thing that protects it is the film left from the day before that's on the metal so if you have a higher quality film strength you're going to exponentially protect the component.
As the lubricants oxidize the ability for them to flow diminishes because of the additive packages oxidize usually they're like cold flow additives and those breakdown over time so it's important to have a very high quality lubricant.

Does the 75w 90 amsoil have friction modifier already in it?
Yes it's called GL5 specification and that's the anti-slip lock additive so when you turn super tight you don't have chattering in the differential some components ask for more slip lock additive and then all you do is just add a little bit more and that'll make it buttery smooth and it won't chatter.
I use 75w-90 Severe gear ⚙️.
