- the fact that people actually think Joe was being genuine with the "I don't like Rob" thing is wild af. Like are we fans of the same band? Did Rob and Joe not actively have to like eachother for this whole band to even be a thing??? Do they not give stupid answers to interviewers constantly????

this is my favourite duo. They just hate eachother but also love eachother so much (PLATONIC OBVIOUSLY).
this took far too long due to the adding of subtitles. this was done because I made this to prove Rob and Joe are the best Tally Hall duo (okay that probably is Zubin and Rob but I can still have a favourite). ketchup and mustard innit. anyway one of those friends isn't a Tally Hall fan and is blind and deaf. As a hearing person that's a Tally Hall fan I find it difficult to hear what they're saying a lot of the time (as you can tell by the amount of [?] and [???]) so I can't imagine how hard it'd be to engage if you were deaf let alone blind and deaf. she also can't tell them apart easily, especially without their colour coding/while they're in costumes so colouring the subtitles should hopefully help. heck, it helps keep track of who's speaking at any given time which is useful.
there's definitely more clips I could've used but the video was getting long so enjoy what you got

I'm so glad the subtitles help you! I add them to all my compilations (except for one that had hardly any talking in it) because as a hearing Native English speaker I often struggle to follow what they're saying too due to bad audio quality, mumbling or talking over each other. I want my compilations to be accessible to everyone as it's pretty shit that currently a lot of the community can't consume content in the same way as the hearing and native English speaking portion of the community (not that it's anyone's fault since they're an old band and the cameras weren't high quality back then). It's a lot of work but it's worth it to unite the community and give everyone a fair chance of enjoying this band's extra content

I think this is obvious but the T.H.I.S clips aren't real and they're acting. They're over exaggerations of how they actually behave and shiuldnt be conflated with how they actually behave. It's just funny that they chose to write themselves like that :)

Thank you so much! I'm really glad my subtitles have helped you understand what's being said because they took quite a long time. As a hearing, Native English speaking person, I definitely have an advantage and even then it's difficult to understand what's being said by the members in clips with bad audio quality and stuff like that so I thought I should add them. As for the clips, I believe people would get bored of Tally Hall compilations if they just saw the same few clips over and over (I know I have). Plus, T.H.I.S isn't them so if the majority of a compilation is clips of that they haven't exactly full-filled the title's promises. Anyway, I'll stop waffling now, thank you

No, don't worry! I'm always happy to have people telling me subtitles I missed. It helps make the video make more sense and makes it all the more easy to follow for deaf, hard of hearing and non-native English speaking people! Plus that clip where they're discussing Joe's fly is extremely confusing to follow and I was very unsure what they were saying half the time so any corrections or explanations are useful (seriously, Andrew's story made 0 sense and if my subtitles are correct he just straight up embarrassed Joe for no reason which I feel is out of character for Andrew)

Just reached 9,700 as I posted this video. Now Idk if I can be totally sure of this but I could be (SUBSCRIBERS WISE) the most popular Tally Hall creator other than Tally Hall themselves? Like I'm not going to make a case that im more famous than Hidden in the sand, Tally ball, Tally Hal, Wahwahster, etc... since all of those are like the equivalent of a house hold names in the Tally Hall fandom and I'm definitely not on that level (no one knows who tf I am I just kind of spawned in here with a large number if subscribers. I'm an enigma) but I'm very proud of myself. I'm so close to my long term goal of 10k and that makes me so proud :D it is kind of concerning that I have so many eyes on me and it does make me panic but it's also very exciting that so many people care about me and what I have to say! Basically, thank you all so much
Edit: tally all is not tally hall has more subscribers that me, but I'm atleast in second place which is crazy tbh! Also me saying this isn't to create competition. I've been at this for 9 years, creators like Tally ball seems to have only just picked this up so congratulations to them!

Thank you! I have been trying to figure out the exact words said in that video and I've had a lot of trouble with it (as you can see by the amount of questions marks and over all missing dialogue). You're definitely right with that. I'm not exactly sure what they were all saying for most of it but I think for the most part I got the subtitles close enough. Yeah, it's impressive you managed to pick up what Joe mumbled tbh. It really bothers me that I can't make what Andrew said make sense. Like he's talking about how it's embarrassing to have your fly undone during a show and then when asked about it he says it happened the other show but his fly was done up and Joe's wasn't which I doubt is what he said. Unless Andrew is extremely cruel, I assume he's saying he believed his own fly to be done up when it wasn't (even though that contradicts what he just said about being aware it was undone) but then he says something about Joe's fly being undone the whole show which implies his wasn't but that'd contradict the entirety of what he was saying???? I doubt he'd just randomly decide to embarrass Joe on stage by bringing attention to the fact that his fly was down if he wasn't also in the same boat so this clip gets more confusing every time I try to decipher it. Anyway, I'll shut up now lol

Yeah, that's an example of him genuinely seeming angry at Rob. Doesn't mean he hates Rob but I guess he was angry that Rob wasn't listening to him when saying "stop" so he retaliated with violence and stormed off. Almost feels awkward to watch because it seems he was genuinely upset with Rob's punching even if he was joking. He was fine for the rest of the video though
@@project_letters i wouldn't say it's genuine? might be a bit, but it's hard to really say, joe was saying "ow" jokingly (theres 0 way that actually hurt), he could have very well just have been pretending to be mad for the camera
@@redfiretf2 yeah, you've got a point. I mean I don't think it would've genuinely hurt but it might've overwhelmed him if he was repeatedly getting touched. We saw later on that he atleast wasn't a fan of getting touched by Rob on stage when his collar was messed up. That could be just the circumstance (getting embarrassed by Zubin on stage and then having Rob come over and try sort it out would be quite patronising) or he could be the type of person that hates getting touched for whatever reason. Idk it's difficult to tell if he was playing it up but from Rob's "ow" and looking up at him like "that actually hurt" before quickly cutting the clip off and the expression on Joe's face as he looks at the camera like "don't record me" before Zubin panned away and back to Rob it definitely seemed like he actually punched Rob unexpectedly. Then again it's on the internet and if Joe was actually angry they probably wouldn't have posted it. You never know really.

I think the rest of this video answers that question? I literally am so bewildered how anyone thinks he was being genuine. The only reason Joe is even in this damn band is because him and Rob are friends (Joe let Rob into anonymous and then Rob let Joe into Tally Hall). He invited him back for solo projects that he owned so it's not even like you can make the case that they grew out of the friendship. Are you witnessing the banter they have in wall party '06? This is the same band who told interviewers that they had been dating, they started their band because they wanted to start a t shirt business and when asked to give a beat boxing sample just went like "btssuh" and ended it. You really think he isn't evidently giving a stupid answer? How chill Rob is about it makes this all even more obvious. Like I joke that I hate my friends and they're the worst thing that ever happened to me because we're so close it's funny to even suggest that. That's what Joe was doing there

I'd rather not talk on controversy. I'd never heard this phone call and I can hardly understand what's even being said. He's bloody confusing to understand and definitely got some issues. They at least had an interesting friendship, I hope Joe gets help because it's not right to throw Rob under the bus like that

The “competitive” comment joe made on that audio really make people believe they hate each other’s , genuinely it’s not true. It’s a common thing imo that both joe and Rob friendship consist of that , friends but with that not perfect friendship, always a lil issue. It’s normal for people that are in band. Joe is not perfect , Rob isn’t perfect. They both seem to care and worried for each others likely. I hope people understand that.
Yeah it pisses me off how people genuinely think they hate eachother. Like number 1, this video's existence disproves that. Number 2, friends joke about hating eachother all the time. It's called banter. You insult eachother for jokes and not every friendship does it but extremely close ones tend to because they're so close that they can take these jokes. Also Tally Hall famously give stupid answers in interviews, it isn't insane to assume they weren't giving a stupid answer and Joe picked Rob because they're close. For this band to be what it is Rob and Joe must've liked eachother. Rob wouldn't have joined Joe's comedy group and Joe wouldn't have joined Rob's band. You can't even argue they grew out of each other because Joe still invited Rob back twice for miracle musical, sampled him in JHJH and tried to get him to perform live with him in 2016. Idk about right this second but I know they're definitely close just by those prices if evidence

Same. Joe doesn't seem fit to perform rn. It's not impossible that over the past few months he's improved (we saw he was well enough to be posting in December) and a lot of the hints can be interpreted to point towards him. However, I think we need Joe to at least sort of return to the Joe we used to know before Tally Hall reunite. He's said and done some awful hateful and disgusting things, some alleged and some proven. You can argue they're more from a place of ignorance than hate but he's still responsible. I want Joe to return and Tally Hall to reunite as friends as much as anyone but Joe needs help right now and he needs to be given that support from a therapist or something before returning to performing imo. Though if he is there that'd be awesome (also might show he's on his path to improvement). Currently, I think we need to think of these as baby steps to a possible reunion. We had the most Tally Hall members that have ever performed together since 2011 last Saturday and, though it's confirmed that there won't be any reunion in August, we know Andrew is not alone for SL. These are all good signs that everyone's back on track and Tally Hall are on their road to reunion hopefully

Basically, back in 2016 Joe tried to sorta reunite the band. His set contained multiple Tally Hall songs and just sings that required other members (like variations on a cloud). That clip is him about to sing variations on a cloud without Rob, variations on a cloud being a song you can't sing alone due to being a duet. People find it very difficult to watch one member try and sing songs he write for a band all by himself and how sad he looks on an empty stage surrounded by instruments (probably belongs to another band but it doesn't help the fact that he's singing songs like the bidding surrounded by instruments that his friends needed to be playing).
TL;DR Sonic lunch in an infamously sad video and in it Joe said "Bobby couldn't be here today" before singing a song, that's supposed to be a duet with Rob and himself, alone.

Exactly. People take that interview answer so seriously and it's actually so weird. Tally hall constantly give stupid answers to interview Like saying that they're all dating or that Ross is a robot. Like For this bloody band to exist they had to have a mutual liking of each other. They also chose to perform together for years with banter and even had songs/performances after Tally hall where they did/tried to do a duet. They obviously were always friends and were just having banter in that interview. Whatever has happened recently is a separate thing entirely that we know hardly anything about so there's no point speculating.
