aww thank you so much and thank you for sharing!! i feel like the more that we talk about these experiences the less we will actually feel these things!!!
Girl, I'm a full-time employee and I JUST after two years, have started saying "I DESERVE to be at Google." It's not all sunshine all of the time. There are still micro-aggressions. It definitely depends on your team and environment with how you end up feeling... especially, if you are the only Black woman at your location. You can still be seen as outspoken and aggressive.
@@p6id I'm not an engineer, I'm a data center technician. I went to an event to network with the managers and applied later and got an interview. I do have three degrees. But, they did not help me land the job.
@@p6id Answering the questions. Staying on top of things. Being diligent, cross-functional, and having the ability to explain my thought process out loud.
CONGRATS ON YOUR OFFERRRR!! THAT IS A HUGE DEAL you need to celebrate! And yes it's really easy to say that it was luck or something that isn't you being qualified but you deserve that ish! And you earned it so please remember all the amazing things you've done and all the hard work that you put in to get to this point that offer is YOURS to take!
Just found your channel! Can you make a video all about your experience as a programmer? Like what languages you use, fave IDEs, what concentration within computer science you're interested in, how you practice your skills, etc.
hi! it was really rewarding! i have a video where i showed what i worked on at Google for my 2nd summer but we basically got to learn web development! which was really awesome. i definitely learned a lot and got to walk away with a project that i could show off!
@@miahsanchez thanks for sharing. I will be joining this summer, so I just wanted to know about virtual internship experience. Excited to work with Googlers :)
