I travelled in 1978 and 1979 on double headed 25’s from Birmingham to Barmouth and loved my childhood holidays there. On summer Saturdays the station there was full of double headed 25’s and 24’s. It was quite an achievement to have everything shunted. So what a wonderful surprise to see the last shot….thankyou so much
When I was young the Edinburgh to Glasgow shuttle was powered by two class 27's using what was called a push/pull service with a loco at each end, I loved the burbling noise of the class 26 and 27 loco in those days. We also had a lot of class 20's powering coal to the regional power stations up here.
Hi! Loved the Class 46 at Hadley Wood! Have you got more 46's on ECML secondary services? They were quite common on those duties from the early 60's to roughly 1977.
By 2030, it’s 50 previous years ago when the year happened to be 1979. WOW 🤩 😮 😯 , time 😅 flies very quickly. These are slam door 🚪 trains 🚂 🚊 🚆 which was unacceptable is because they are dangerous, vulnerable and I’m not joking 🙃 so automatic operating doors 🚪 are much safer and invulnerable. It was very sad 😔 😞 😢 back then, now it’s finally happy 😆 😊 😃 at the last minute. 👍

Not that I know of but some may turn up. I've still hundreds of hours of footage to look at yet.
