Djokovic's ability to adapt is incredible. he realizes Medvedev is a hard court specialist who loves the fast court at the us open, very hard to get the ball past him. what does Nole do, he starts coming to the net, and starts to serve an volley drawing Medvedev into the net...just an amazing player......and I'm sure Nole team led by Goran came up with the game plan, he is the greatest! Bravo Nole.....

Goran keeps giving glimpses of his humour in these press conferences. Extremely unapologetic and frank in his opinions which is possibly what makes his partnership with Novak work so well. Being a hot headed guy himself on tour he understands why Novak loses his cool and Goran can then help him through it. It works wonders.

It is far more interesting that Goran Ivanisevic is Croatian and Novak Djokovic is Serbian, and Croatia and Serbia were mortal enemies in the early 90s after the violent breakup of Yugoslavia following the collapse of the Soviet Union. Not quite. Serb and Croat. Two peoples who have had their share of enmities in the past, so it's nice to see these two guys working together as a great partnership.
Historical aside: in 1992 there were raised eyebrows at the prospect of a Serb and a Croat - Monica Seles and Ivanisevic - winning Wimbledon and being expected to dance with each other at the Wimbledon victors' ball when their two countries were still at war. In the event neither won their finals - instead Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi won, who would of course end up being married to each other some years later!
