These compilations are so incredibly underrated. They help people understand how rough speedrunning can be where you usually don’t get that perspective because you only see final runs. And they’re also fucking hilarious

this game, especially this category, and I'm confused as to why he's upset about the spawn in this clip? 7:21
sorry, this is a bit late, but while he looks it he definitely was not upset. he was just holding his head like "holy shit there's no way this just happened" as locating end cities in any world, much less a speedrun, can be difficult and in this case maybe even a run killer. he's doing an All Advancements run here, which means what it says on the box. get all 102 of minecraft's achievements/advancements as fast as possible, including How Did We Get Here (all status effects at once, including mining fatigue from elder guardians, levitation from shulkers, etc) and A Furious Cocktail (every potion effect at once) and so on, and he just saved himself a TON of time looking for an end city by getting this insane portal spawn.
as for the mechanics of the portals themselves, the end portal gateways don't generate the connecting side until you go through them; though the conditions can slightly change, the game always spawns you on the highest possible (non-bedrock) full block that it can within an 11x11 space from the exit portal. the exit portal also generates roughly 1024 blocks away from the central island (in favourable conditions, this is the limit). further, end cities themselves can only spawn in a set grid, on only large islands, AND to top it all off, the city he spawned on has a boat for the elytra (roughly 50% chance)... and a ton of rooms which probably contained great loot (note he's only wearing enchanted gold pants in the clip, and end cities of course have much better enchanted iron/diamond armour and tools). not to mention a TON of the shulkers themselves which are pivotal to AA speedruns for inventory management.
this end city just happened to have the most favourable spawning conditions that happened to save feinberg a load of time :) he was VERY lucky in this clip! i hope this helps clear things up!

@@SilentHalt This, and I think it is actually a consistent net save because getting the important stuff out of the chests by hand is both slower _and_ more inconsistent just on account of human error of trying to click on the important stuff fast, plus the wait time on Nether portals and (in some cases) ender pearls gets taken advantage of for eating anyway
Not to mention, I'm pretty sure the fall damage dropping in dwarves the explosion damage looking at 3:48 anyway

Idk why you think that way, they get all the loot without having to drag the cursor and click multiple times while in the inventories both with potential for errors. As you can see by the clips of the trick you also take very little damage from the explosion, since simply standing one block below the source or more (with blocks under the source) massively decreases the damage (common trick for crystal pvp). The 8 tnt they get is also used many times depending on the runner if they want to have quick access to blocks for bridging large gaps (especially for nether w/o pearls) and the explosion itself in the temple gives a decent amount too.

Me and my friends were playing manhunt 2v2. we decided to not rush for the kill and gather some supplies b4 tracking them.
we found a dope cave got myself full iron and my friend half iron. so we are near them. they were mining too.(none of us actually speedran once)
i allways said i use f3+b to see hitboxes. i see him stripmining and he blocked himself off. bottom bedrock and there were a furnace. (he was cookin smthn idk)
so i hit him with slimmest of the places using f3+b as i told them and after i killed him he just banned me and told me i was "cheating" and his friend agreed.
so i left the call and told them that it was a feature and it even has a shortcut. they cried in text and i said im muting the chat and they can cry all they want.
after that they kicked me out of the chat and dm'd me threats. (dont let me meet you at school... ima break your chicken legs etc.(i am long to my age))
just screenshoted and said "i could go to the police anytime i want". they İMMEDİATLY changed avatars and blocked me.(all when that happened my friend (other hunter) was killed by a creeper)(and they were problably xraying(one accidentally send when he was xraying other time than that))

OK SERIOUSLY, WHAT IS THE POINT IN PLACING THE PRESSURE PLATE BACK DOWN. I seriously don't get it, why not just grab all the tnt first and then put the pressure plate inside one of the chest?
TNT exploding the chests + picking up items dropped from them is faster than looting each chest individually
