My dads Tasmanian and we sat and watched your video last night in awe of your feat, really enjoying the stunning and rugged scenery and your narration. Thanks very much, keep hiking and never stop exploring!
Awesome video Cam! Can't believe you did it in 3 days!! Did the track a few years ago - barely managed to do it in 6 days. Also, the going down on the Iron Bound Range was tough (physically and mentally) But the whole trip was definitely worth it:)
Awesome series man 🙏 My first multi day hike was in Tasmania on my own. Was certainly a wild time. You've definitely inspired me to head back there it's such a beautiful part of Australia
haha i wonder how many people take the boat back across but forget to take a set of oars. looks like there were loads on one side but only one set on the other
Loved that video Cam. Most people take 6 days so about 14km/day. Over 3800m of elevation - you have very well trained legs to walk so many hours per day and recover overnight to go again … So your training, nutrition and sleep must be optimal. Honed through experience! I loved the look of that track. Missed having full subtitles but could still pick up most of what you’re saying with a good clear voice and facing the viewers. What a great life you have! Does your wife accompany you at times? Sorry about the essay 😏 No need to reply
Thanks for the comment! I’ve done a lot of hiking so legs are feeling strong at the moment. Wifey sometimes comes along on shorter hikes. She hasn’t done more than a couple days… yet😆
Wow that was a fast walk! We are hoping to do this track in Feb (definitely not in three days though 😅) so thanks for taking us along! Now I know to leave enough energy in the body for that boat crossing haha, cheers!
Loved the video Cam! We also hiked the wrong way for a bit at Suprise Bay and couldn't find the track a few times - but it is truly an amazing track amd a great adventure. Pretty impressive you did it in three days!
Love you work cam not really interested in how many k's you cover in a day. Would rather see more scenery and you enjoy yourself. It's almost stressful watching you do the hike. Thanks though for being out there and doing it. All the best
@@CamBostock understand mate. You're certainly fit. I admire how much kilometres you're able to do. Probably a little jealous that walk that you did down at Esperance was sensational. I've been there once. And yes the water is the most amazing cobalt colour you can have. Keep up the good work
Thanks for the videos. I see that you had a food drop organised for the South Coast track. What was the weight of your food for the first 2 sections of your walk or did you do a food drop somewhere. Also wondering how much gas you went through? Cheers
@@CamBostock that’s a relief. A few years ago my partner and two friends ran the Port Davey and South Coast Track in a couple of days. She still curses whoever it was took all the oars across to the far side, they hadn’t slept in 36 hours. After about three hours they found a plastic bucket to improvise as a paddle, type 2 fun.
Hi there! Amazing adventures, videos and channel. Congrats! Would it be ok if you share which pack you used for this particular trip? (brand, type, and size in liters). It looks so awesomely small and light!!! I don't know if you have any videos on gear. I'm wanting to change all my gear to lighter. My pack is insanely comfortable but it weighs 2.700kgs which is way too much!!! (deuter 60-70L) Would love to do the SCT with 17kgs max . I know it might be unrealistic for a 7 to 8-day track... (no way I can do 30+ km a day and make it in 3 days like you!!!!!) But it would be so good to hike lighter in general, hoping the pack is also durable and comfortable. Can you comment on that too? Is yours durable, comfortable and light? Thanks a million and keep up exploring!
Heading to Tassie on the 29/1 solo traveller as well. I'm keen to go on a traverse with you please let me know if it's possible and we'll make the details.
I wanted to mention for others reading about this walk - Sign out of your walk! I hope you did but showing yourself walking past the logbook at the end missed a good moment to show what to do. Not signing out can trigger a potential rescue process and Parks people have plenty to do apart from chasing up people who can’t spend 2 minutes signing off. If you didn’t sign on you’re nuts, the process has saved plenty of asses on Tasmanian hikes gone wrong and no one is immune to that possibility.
Happy New Year! Thanks for following along my Tasmanian adventures! Plenty more coming in 2023.🔥

What a hike, one of my favorite places in Australia Tassie!

What an amazing hike!! Loved the waterfalls!! I love hikes that have a large variety of scenery like the ocean, mountain views, streams, and forest.

It’s surprisingly tiring haha. Will be easier with multiple people though. Enjoy!
I really didn't want this series to end!
Plenty more adventure coming!
@@CamBostock I'm looking forward to it! :)
Such a great adventure mate. Thanks for taking us along 😁
My pleasure ☺️
Epic journey Cam. Wild weather, mud, rivers, just wild. Note to self, do that in Jan. Loved it mate.
Thanks Stewart ☺️
You are a hidden gem! Can't wait to see new content as you bring it in!
Thanks Steph!
What a scenery my friend, this looks absolutely majestic. Breathtaking hike! 🔥🔥
It was stunning

So glad you enjoyed! Glad it wasn’t just me… 😂
Amazing adventure! The scenery is breathtaking and the experience must have been unforgettable. Congrats on completing the South Coast Track solo!
Thank you!
A great video, you bring a positive attitude Cam thankyou. We are going on the walk in a month. Getting excited after watching your vid!!
This is so beautiful and thank you for showing us the beautiful coast of Tasmania .
My pleasure
Love it and Tasmania is so scenic
Awesome videos mate, I've just watched the 3 that make up your trip to Tasmanian, well done! You keep up a decent pace 💪👍
Well done Cam 👏🏻👏🏻. Brilliant series 👌🏻
Thanks so much! I had so much fun creating it
Thanks for curing any desire I may have had to do the Port Davie track. Way to much mud for me.
Yeah if you don’t like mud it isn’t the trail for you 😂
Great walk mate! 😊
Great videos mate, I got lost after surprise bay camp too mate.. prob went the same way as me!
Awesome work mate, thanks for taking us along!
Thankyou!
hey, give us some details on your initial pack weight, gear etc.
You pack looks a lot smaller than my 58L Osprey Exos.
Amazing work mate! Did you consider doing the Penguin to Cradle track while you were in Tassie?
Didn’t have enough time this trip but definitely when I come back
Nice 😊

I love pushing myself on trail so it’s a big part of how I enjoy my treks but I understand your viewpoint.

Congratulations! Great hike! I lost track over the 3 videos-- how many total kilometers?
About 220km all up 👍
Hey mate love the video, are you gonna do the Tassie Trail?
Stunning video! What kind of pack did you use?
It’s a Mammut Ducan Spine 50/60L from Pushys.com.au ☺️☺️
Loved this ❤
Great video, but it looks like you didn't take oars and life vests with you back across New River.
Now that you mention it, I didn’t!! Oops. I do remember there being plenty on both sides so hopefully no issues.

@@chrisedie2307 Jeeze that's brutal! It made for a bloody good story at least. Yeah, there was definitely still a couple sets of oars left!

I would describe it as durable, comfortable and light! I used the Mammut Ducan Spine 50L
Awesome Vid Cam, We will be doing the South coast track in January Next year.
By the way what shoes were you wearing on this hike?
Ta!
Hey mate. You’ll love it!! I wore trail runners - Hoka Speedgoat 5
Heading to Tassie on the 29/1 solo traveller as well. I'm keen to go on a traverse with you please let me know if it's possible and we'll make the details.
Wow!
Any chance you could cover what sort of packaged foods you take hiking?
I’ll have to do a video. Mostly just bought dehydrated meals / protein bars and lollies 😂
great effort
Cheers Mick

Great comment! And yes, I did sign off
What camera are you using? 😊
Nikon z6ii 😊
Why you think they don't have a pulley system to winch the boats back to the original side rather than rowing three times?
It’s a pretty long distance, not sure that would work.
What tent do you use?
MSR Hubba in this video. Currently using S2S Alto 1P
@@CamBostock I thought it was, but I was hoping it wasn’t, those things are expensive.
Which month did you do the South Coast Track?
December 💪
...why the brag about the K's mate? Just enjoy the experience
I enjoyed the experience very much 😜
