Tasmania - Top Tips For The Ideal Road Trip.

A guide for a road trip around Tasmania, the island state of Australia, visiting many tourist highlights and some lesser known locations. Places featured include Ben Lomond, Eddystone Point, down the east coast to Coles Bay and Port Arthur, then through the centre to the west coast towns of Queenstown and Strahan. Cradle Mountain is also featured along with Stanley and Sheffield with many places in between.

Thank you for posting the video. It’s an excellent source of inspiration for us. We would like to go next May ourselves. Did you find the weather was ok during that time? Can I ask also what accommodation you were using?

Thanks for your comment. We found that the weather in May was a bit wet at times but it didn't prevent us from doing anything. As for accommodation we mainly used cabins in caravan parks, the occasional motel and the miner's cottages at Corina. Hope you end up going and have a great trip.

Great highlight of Tassie. I need to get there soon. Looks like you got to see a good deal. How long would you suggest is the ideal time frame for such a "Lap of Tassie"?

That trip was over 20 days but it would have been easy to spend more time there.

Our trip was over 20 days, but for a leisurely pace you would need at least a month and maybe more. There is a lot to see in Tasmania. Cheers
