As someone from the US, I am so happy that I have found someone who is so much more 'real' about the struggles of baking with kids around. I also like that you don't use those kids to get more views. So, all in all, thank you for being you.
Love you’re using only buttercream! Also, love your tip about using the number 3 tip for the lines because I’ve been struggling deciding which size to use for writing and I’ve got shaky hands!
Emily, my kids and grands came for the holidays. Ava (10) and Sienna (7) love to decorate cakes with me. We did the cookie dough cake. (What do kids who keep hearing, "You can't eat the cookie dough" want more than anything?) It was off the charts, every part a symphony of flavor and texture. But peeps always mess with your carefully crafted recipes, don't they? I did a bottom border of mini-chips. I don't know how you do it with three little ones. But it's great you've created a career that lets you stay home. And the quality of your work is terrific in spite of what the home front requires.
Emily, that's an absolute showstopper!! I totally love how 3d it looks, certainly takes time but the result is stunning! I love that you can use buttercream, as I don't really care for fondant. Thanks for showing us how to accomplish this look!! 😊❤️🙏🏽🇨🇦
love this! I'm not a big fondant fan, especially not covering an entire cake, so I've always felt a bit left out of the comic book cakes but this is awesome!!
That thumbnail is amazing and it ISNT clickbait! What skills you have, truly, I'm very excited to try this out. So many good tips, I've saved your video 😀
I’m no Betty Crocker and have looked at lots of tutorials on the cartoon cake no fondant and I keep comparing them all to yours 😂 yours is the most clean crisp cake with simple explicit detailed instructions/tips on how to achieve this look! Thank you for your advice/tutorial. I can’t wait to do my sons 13th bday cake-lol I feel more confident. Your work is exquisite.
Another amazing great step by step. also loved when u mentioned that your hands were shaking after drinking lots of coffee to decorate at night once little ones are sleeping 😅totally can relate to u . That’s when I do my decorations as well ☺️
Hey, thank you for your videos. What frosting woud you recommend for hot summer? I will celebrate my son's birthday in Brasil next month, buttercream won't be a good idea. Thanks
I would use buttercream but substitute half of the butter with vegetable shortening (like crisco or trex) and keep the cake inside for as long as possible
I've never made a cake before and I'm spending all day to surprise my gf w this for her bday today. Go figure she's mad at me rn for w/e reason. If she's still mad at me when she sees this I'm leaping out the damn window to live with the forest animals forever.
It'll be great! The beauty of techniques like this are that they don't have to look perfect. My hands are really shaky and my piping is wobbly but that's fine for this style!

Thanks for your lovely comment! I needed that today :)

WOW‼️😱😱 YOU'RE AMAZINGLY TALENTED EMILY👏👍👍💕💕💕🍰

Thank you so much!
I wonder if you can use Royal icing to pipe the black lines instead?
You can but I think the texture would be noticeable when you eat the cake because instead of soft like buttercream, it would be a bit crunchy
Wow that's cool!
Thank you!
Hey Ms.Emily, does your vinilla cake recipe work for 3 '9 inch cake layers? Thank you and thanks for this tutorial?
Hi! Yes! Or if you want the cake to be as tall, you can double the recipe
@@BritishGirlBakes Thanks Ms.Emily
soooooo cute!!!!!!
Thank you!
this is amazing😍
Thank you!
Beautiful
Thank you!
I forget now but can I use a butter/shortening combo for your 4 minute buttercream or should I use your hybrid buttercream if I want to use both?
Hi! You can use half butter and half shortening for my 4 Minute Buttercream :)
@@BritishGirlBakes Thank you 💜
You did that!!!!
Very cool
Amazing!!!
Thanks!!
Love it!
Thanks!!
So cute
Thank you!
My toxic trait is thinking I can do this 🤣
It looks awesome!!
I'm sure you can! My hands are super shaky so I'm confident your black lines will look much better than mine!
Wonderful ❤️
Thank you! 😊
Amazing 👏
Thanks 😄
Do you always want the filing to match
Totally up to you!
Thanks because i really didnt want to cover my cakes with fondant 💓
Perfect!
Which food colouring do you use?
Gel colours by Chefmaster, Americolor or Wilton are my favourites in the US. I have some gels from Sweet Stamp in the UK that I love too!
Awesome
Thanks!
Awesome ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks 🤗

Please don’t forget to credit Little Cherry Cake company as Tracey was the original Creator of this cake.
Oh I had no idea where it originated! Thanks for telling me!
This is amazing! Thank you!
