Thank you so much! It was a lot of fun doing the series over the Lonesome Dove novels.

From what I can gather, this is the type of book that would make me cry haha. I look forward to the ranking actors videos. Those are always fun!

Great talk :D I want to see that ranking of actors since each adaptation had his actors :D

I'm looking forward to making that video. So many wonderful actors portrayed both Gus and Call, so it's going to be tough to do some of the rankings.

Lonesome Dove has been a book I've wanted to read for so long!
I have never seen any of the movie adaptations because I was determined to at least read the first book before watching them. (The only exception being Lonesome Dove The Series from '94 with Scott Bairstow. I did actually watch all of those 😂)
    Enjoyed your thoughts as always!

Nice. The books are huge so they do take a while to get through. If you ever get to them, I hope you enjoy them. :)

!) I didn't know there was confusion about the order of the series, so thank you for that and 2) what was up with all the actor-swapping? Weird... Keeping in back pocket for a tearjerk-y mood...

I can only speculate about the actors, but my guess is that after the original Lonesome Dove miniseries that either they didn't have the budget to get Tommy Lee Jones and many of the others back, or the actors simply declined feeling like they couldn't improve upon the masterpiece performance they had already given. When they did the prequels, they had to use different actors since the characters were so much younger.

almost, almost make me want to watch the movie. I think I'm confusing this book with another, but the name is escaping me at the moment. (that's annoying) Great video, as per usual. Have a great weekend.
