Love the color choice u picked looks great, I'm looking to do mine very soon just not looking forward to it as I have a 38ft 5th wheel 😐 thanks for sharing 😎❤👍
Looks pretty good man paint will not cure unless it's a certain temperature typically around 50 degrees for at least 12 to 24 hours that's what caused your streaking
Looks great! What paint roller did you use? Do you think a foam roller would have been better? Any regrets or things you might have done different? Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I plan to paint mine too. Thanks!
Sorry! I nerver got the notification that you commented. I never liked foam rollers, but thats not to say it wouldn't work. I used a 4" roller because of the corrugated siding. It just gave me more control. As far as the nap I used. I don't remember. It just depents mostly on the finish you want. 3M has a rubber wheel you use on a drill, to remove any decals. That definatly would have saved me time. For whatever reason, that paint held up on everything except the fenders. Spray paint would had been better, I guess. Thats all I can think of now. Again, sorry I didn't answer your questions before now. Good luck!
i just bought a 93 pace arrow motor home and looked all over online for videos and you nailed it i want to do grey and black and this just showed me it can be done and look good ...thank you
Hey... We're hindered Spirits... I just got a 1985 Pace Arrow by Fleetwood... This is the 24th RV I have flipped ... it is in really bad shape, but I'm excited to do it... Top to Bottom Inside and Out... Good luck ...
I painted a travel trailer once... I didn't have very much money, so I used my favorite outside house paint... Wal-Mart exterior semi gloss... It works great... Turned out Beautiful NOTE: I did NOT use a roller... I only used a 3" brush.
@@judichristopher4604 lol the pace arrow is a good motor home..... definitely going to paint it when it warms up ....just working on the inside right now....got a cheap used fridge acouple hours ago.... that and paneling tomorrow lol
@@christinecillo1015 I would love to use a roller, but the outside is not "FLAT"... it has a lot of ridges... not one solid panel ... I can't start on my RV yet... I'm applying for a Title. I'd hate to put a lot of money in it and not be able to get the title. No one around me understands what I can see in refurbishing this 1985 RV... being the fact it was so bad, my brother gave it to me. LOL... All I see is a Canvas... ;)
I * AM * IMPRESSED * ! I am definitely not a painter... and everything I do is DIY... or pay to have it done. You did a great job! I never thought a roller job could look this good! Wanna help me paint my new (to me) '88 LazyDaze? It looks pretty rough right now. Really enjoyed the video! Rick Doherty Joshua Tree, Ca
Thanks for the compliment! There were definitely things I could had done better, but overall, I am happy with the result. I just posted a part 2, a couple of days ago, showing how it's hel up over the past 2 years. Check it out! "Painting my camper part 2 (update)"
Your camper does look very great. I am in the middle of restoring mine and your video helped me out alot. Thanks for sharing your video and was wondering do you suggest a clear coat
Fantabulous!!!! I think people are using spray paint for plastic on those wheel well parts. I am thinking of using a gloss black tremclad on the bottom of my white teailer to get a bit of color. Luv your red propane cover!😍
Thank you! I'm surprised about the propane cover. A year in, and it faded a lot. The camper itself has held up great! I used Rustoleum brand spray paint. I want to redo it, but I'll be using a different brand.
Oh, my 🤔 I have camper painting project coming 😱 this spring. My camper which I got as a gift for my birthday, it is at campsite in PA so I don’t have to tow it and has the same type of walls, it will be pain in the butt to paint 24” Starcraft. Thanks for sharing your experience 🥳
I got really tired of how it looked. One day, I just started doing it. The worst by far, is the prep. At least when you are painting, its like instant gratification.
Great Job and the same colors Im going to repaint my 30 foot 1980 chevy southwind to. What was the paint you used in detail? Its exact name. I know you said 45 bucks a gallon but where you get it and whats the full name of them? Thanks for any info you can give me on the paint and again great job. Looks brand new and nice as hell. Matches the SUV perfect.
Nice job. About to do my 30 foot. Curious about an update on how the paint held up over this past year? I live in Vancouver Canada, so we see a lot of rain and snow in the winter.
I have hibiscus flower decals on our truck. The truck is black, and the decals are silver. I want to put black flowers on the rock guard. I might put some lettering on the sides, if I think of a cool name! 😉
Sorry it didn't reply sooner!! I haven't been checking my messages. Honestly, the paint has been holding up great! Almost a year in the Florida sun, and it still looks fresh. However, I made curtains for it. Black and red plaid. They faded to s**t. 😣
They are plastic, with a rubber insert. They would not clean up at all. New one are available, but I figured I'd paint them, and see how well they hold up. So far, 8 months in the Florida sun, and they don't show any fading.
The black and gray are the same, Behr Premium Plus Exterior Satin Enamel. The fact that I used a roller, gave it a texture. It gave a uniform texture more so than a brush would have, I think.
Looks good, but you need to rethink what a truck is, way to much camper for that mid size SUV...... I've seen it hundreds of times people pulling campers like that rolled over... To much weight for safe stopping ECT... I've been a truck driver for over 25 years plus an avid camper
Thanks for sharing the outcome. It still looks really great!

Awesome job!
Hey great video! Exactly the info I was looking for. Thanks!

You did a very nice job we like it.
Thanks!
Love the color. Stands out greatly
Awesome
Looks good!! Great job

Looking great there, good job man
Thank you for the detail ☺. I think you did a great job! Kudos!

Did u use a roller
I thinking if I can use spray paint sint

Rubber wheel takes decals off really well.
I'll have to remember that!
I just used one to remove the pinstripe on my Miata. It worked great!
Nice Job it looks great!
Thank you!
Thank you!
Beautiful Job, and beautiful choice of colors.
Thank you!
Should have primed the plastic with a primer that works with plastic
Hello not sure if you mentioned it but what spray paint did you use for the window trim? I am doing mine this weekend
I LOVE this video ❤️
really nice job man
Great video! I appreciate your explanations and rationales. How many coats of paint did you apply?

Both were the Behr (Home Depot) exterior, stain blocker, laytex. I'm really happy with how it is holding up. This Florida sun is brutal!
Nice job. About to do my 30 foot. Curious about an update on how the paint held up over this past year?
I live in Vancouver Canada, so we see a lot of rain and snow in the winter.
The paint has held up great against the Florida rain and sun. I used Rustoleum spray paint on the propane cover, and that is faded.
I posted a pt2 video. Check it out!
Looks great! I hope it isn't too hot in the sun!
A year in, and the paint is holding up fine. However, I made curtains, and the material I made them from is fading like crazy!!
I love it nice job I curious what decals you put on the front ..I know all about the fla weather. From Jacksonville. It is really nice there I miss it
I have hibiscus flower decals on our truck. The truck is black, and the decals are silver. I want to put black flowers on the rock guard. I might put some lettering on the sides, if I think of a cool name! 😉
Good job friend :)
Yes you painted too late and made paint do that be sure to stop in time to let dry before condisation sets in
I would have gotten paint all over the driveway
What a fantastic job you did. How's the paint holding up? I want to roller paint my 28' travel trailer.

Did you scuff the old paint before painting
Can you please tell me what type of paint you used .Thank you .Great vid
Behr Exterior Premium Plus Satin Enamel
Christine Cillo thanks for sharing :) was looking for the type of paint.
Yep 🇦🇺🙋🏼♂️
🇦🇺
That’s bigger than 15 feet It has dual wheels so more than 18 feet for sure!
Is this fiberglass
You painted over the J Rails. Are they plastic or aluminium and has it lasted?
They are plastic, with a rubber insert. They would not clean up at all. New one are available, but I figured I'd paint them, and see how well they hold up. So far, 8 months in the Florida sun, and they don't show any fading.
Any texture on the paint? I know you mentioned earlier for the grey but I don’t see any texture after that
The black and gray are the same, Behr Premium Plus Exterior Satin Enamel. The fact that I used a roller, gave it a texture. It gave a uniform texture more so than a brush would have, I think.
Christine Cillo expected with a roller but still looks great!
Just so you all know it DOES NOT have primmer in it!!!! The paint is just thicker
I bought my bike a vreeland Harley in bloomsburg
Hi whats the paint you used?
I don't remember exactly. It was Behr brand. (Home Depot) Exterior Latex w/primer. I do explain the paint I used in the video.
Did you wax or seal it after?
I wouldn't know what to use?
What sheen did you use for the paint?
It was Behr Premium Plus exterior satin enamel
What’s with the flower decals?
What's with the question?
I don't know whether we to use a roller or spray can.
Spray cans will be more expensive, I would think?

I've pulled it over 15k, and never had any problems. It's rated to pull 6k, and the trailer is rated at about 3.5k.
Hey you live in fl. Marion oaks?
Nope! More on the east side, of Ocala.
boy you be smackin your lips too much i had to turn the volume down lol
sorry.....😋
Blow your friggin nose.
Sorry that I have allergies. Way to be tolerant of someone who isn't as perfect as you obviously are.
