0:36 that is really Olympic Titanic’s middle propeller had three blades instead of four then some time after titanic sank they put three blades on Olympic’s middle blade because titanic couldn’t finish the test white star line did on the ships
Good catch - yes Olympic class steamships do look close to the same in many ways but can have subtle differences, some rarely seen... unfortunately there are know known pics of Titanic’s propellers in dry dock... many do believe Titanic had the three blade on the turbine - recent research in Harland and Wolf documents does indicate this - But I had to use an Olympic photo since I wanted to show the sheer size of Titanic’s propellers for dramatic effect - they are essentially the same but you did catch the difference- kudos!!! White Star as well as the papers of the day passed Olympic pics off for Titanic for so many things! Even today when researching you see it as well... It’s a shame that neither White Star or Harland and Wolf did not take many photos of Titanic, but the first of the class always gets the fanfare... great catch :-)
Cool film and also nice you were able to meet an survivor, did you ever asked him/her questions about how the incident happened? Also here a few things to improve your Titanic knowledge, I'm gonna share some things I know and learned about, but they could be wrong, idk: - Titanic at night wasn't how the movie depicts (the movie depicts the Titanic's lights to bright the whole ship and everything around), in fact the lights of the real Titanic only brighted the places it was put to bright, and when the lights went out, the ship was barely visible, it was a black silhouette reflecting from the night's stars; also the actual night was so dark you weren't able to see any other lifeboats or the people in your lifeboat correctly if you were a little far from the Titanic (let's say 2 or 3 quilometers far, idk), even though the night had stars. - While the ship was sinking, it developed a 10 degree starboard list, but when the water started to getting close to submerge the bow, the ship developed a 10 degree port list, probably due to flooding reasons, and it kept that list until the ship broke in half, and according to a few survivors the ship capsized to port and started to right itself while sinking, but a few others say it wasn't with any list after the breakup, just a little unbalanced and then it started to sink, so we don't know exactly what happened after the breakup if we talking about the list. - The ship's funnels fell off, you should probably know that, I think only the 1st and 2nd funnels fell to starboard, the rest was to port; so the 1st funnel fell due to it's area below him being crushed, the 2nd funnel fell due to an explosion inside it and it caused a huge black smoke after, the 3rd funnel fell due to the breakup being close to it's area, making it unstable and fall, and the 4th funnel fell probably due to being unstable when the stern rose almost vertical into the air or maybe the same reason as the 1st funnel. - The Titanic broke up around the 3rd funnel, the exact location is unknown (just don't believe the V-Break, it is against the laws of physics), many survivors say in the middle, which would be the 2nd and 3rd funnel area, and a few say between the 3rd and 4th funnel, but the exact location is unknown, probably a twice break-up happened, but it's just a theory; also it was a clean break, survivors report saying the stern's silhouette settled back into the water and the rest of the ship was missing, so it led them to the idea it broke up. - The ship took 2 hours and 40 minutes to sink after the colision with the iceberg, only by 2:00 AM that the water came to the boat deck, and then the ship started to sink a lot faster, the lights out and breakup probably happened around 2:17 or 2:18 AM, and the final plunge of the stern occurred at 2:20 AM; the Carpathia only rescued the survivors around 4 AM or something. - The last song played on Titanic is probably Autumn or Nearer my God to Thee, but if it was Nearer my God to Thee, it was the Propior Deo version definitely, I forgot why, but it was definitely that version.
Hello, I met the Frank Aks when I was 10 years old. He came to Philadelphia for a book signing event for “Titanic Triumph & Tragedy” hosted by the Titanic Historical Society, at the Philadelphia Maritime Museum. He was a baby when he was on board, I did talk to him for a brief moment and he told me that someone took him from his mother’s arms and tossed him overboard and he landed in a descending lifeboat! It was an amazing story that I have never forgotten! Your comment/post is very impressive with its detail And facts and I agree with you :-) I am of the belief that a cold water Mirage and light refraction played a significant part in the disaster (hiding the iceberg from the lookouts and making Californian seem closer than she actually was) - Tim Maltin makes a compelling case about this but as this theory is newer there has not been any movies that included this yet but plenty of documentaries!
@@ourdogzippy cool story of Frank in fact, it must have been terrifying to him, and the sounds the ship made when sinking, like survivors say they always heard creepy sounds coming out of the ship, metal creaking, people screaming in terror and the barely audible songs the musicians played, then they also describe the sound of the breakup (if I remember correctly) as a sudden sound of metal cracking and explosion and then an loud earraping noise when the stern settled back; most the most terrifying sound was after the sinking, for 15 or 30 minutes, people screaming for help in the freezing -2°C water and then a horrible silence, like nothing, and freezed bodies all around. I, myself, am not a professional about the Titanic topic, I just research and find it interesting; also did you know they are making a Titanic II, an actual ship, I have a bad feeling about this, I think when they remake the original voyage, another iceberg will appear and it will be same thing, but worse, I mean, it seems like Olympic class liners are very cursed, 2 of them sank (RMS/SS Titanic and HMHS Britannic) and 1 almost sank and in the end was destroyed by White Star Line (RMS Olympic), and as the Titanic II is a "descendant" of the original, something bad is probably happening. Anyways uh you got a new sub.
Also here is a video demonstrating Titanic's final plunge by professionals: ruclips.net/video/ERB0qnXIwvA/видео.html The only thing wrong here is the stern's final plunge after the breakup, they decided to take Charles Joughin (the Titanic's baker) somehow, idk why, he was pretty drunk after all, Charles says on "one of his testimonies" that the stern capsized to port and sank at the same position. But in a earlier video of these guys, a 2hrs40min video which is Real-Time and Accurate Titanic sinking, the final plunge was correct. Yes - the submersible model can be unpredictable these days... the split mechanism is worn out, when it was brand new the bow always sank to the bottom with the bow leading the way, Now is does resemble a v break sometimes when I use it :-)
v-break is very unrealistic when it comes to a sinking Titanic. The v-break just doesn't make sense and I don't know why people still defend it. But anyway this was a very nice video. I liked that the RC Titanic included lights.
lol I am a nerd too then... I thought it was a pic of Titanic before White Star added the wind screens that made the Titanic’s promenade deck different from Olympic... if it’s Olympic my bad!
Good point - but I did not really forget that, it’s just not something I could do without altering my vintage submersible model further - and I did not want to do that. If I ever build a submersible model from scratch - I would certainly put that in the design to make it as accurate as possible :-) thank you for watching my movie!
Mine came from Walmart.com a few years back, but you can find it on Amazon.com and a few other online websites, I suggest just doing a google search to find the best price as it varies - expect costs ranging from $130- $200 - happy hunting!
It is actually a school bell sound effect, when I made this video that was all I could find for a bell - not the 3 rings that actually happened but as close as I could get at the time...
Hi yes, there are a few things I could have done better on this video... a few viewers have said the same thing but in this scale of RC, and since I shot this in real time, that would look like I was turning into the iceberg, plus I was kind of limited with what I could do as I controlled Titanic with one hand and filmed with the other - all at the same time LOL!!! So, it would have been really hard to swing out the stern and may not have looked right due to the scale even though it would be more historically accurate.... Thank you for watching and your comments, if I ever do something like this again I will try and incorporate that part of the story perhaps by slowing the video down to compensate for the scale : -)
They do make some great custom 3D printed models - I may buy their PC game when it is completed but I think the majority of their models are 1/1000 scale? If so, the 1/1000 scale models they make would not work in my films just because I would need a larger size to adapt - (I have to be able to get inside to balance for floating and potentially power etc) - Their models - from what I have seen online are absolutely incredible and the way they pay attention to detail with everything they produce - those models are and will be Fantastic! I would love to get one someday! Especially of the Carpathia! Titanic Honor and Glory also have a great website and make great youtube content for sure!
thank you, yes - I would love it if there were was a Carpathia model available!!! sadly I did not have a Carpathia model so for that role I used a Mauretania model... I tired to use close camera angles so that only one funnel could be seen at any time to give the appearance of Carpathia - however with the name Mauretania right on the bow, clearly visible in the life boat scenes - it interferes with the illusion a little bit... but hey - at least it was a Cunard ship right? LOL
Hi - it’s actually not a Carpathia model - It’s a Mauretania model - I just filmed it in a way to make it look like Carpathia for the video. I don’t know of any model kits presently out there of the Carpathia. You would think a company would make one! You can get a pretty nice hand painted and prebuilt model of it from Titanic Honor & Glory’s website :-)

@@audirs-bs8sy its 1513
I swear the Titanic sounds like spongebobs alarm when it takes off for some reason
Ok the one that says being fitted out. It's a pic of the Olympic bieng fixed after she ran into another ship. Idk I'm srry I'm just a ship nerd...
lol I am a nerd too then... I thought it was a pic of Titanic before White Star added the wind screens that made the Titanic’s promenade deck different from Olympic... if it’s Olympic my bad!
its been 109 years titanic:(
This is just like the real movie!
Allyson Schexnyder what movie? 1912? 1929? 1943? 1953? 1958? 1979? 1996? 1997? 2012?
Ballard struggling hard to get that wreck site lololol 😂👌👍😝😋
That was cool
You also forgot one more thing:the funnels are not falling apart
Good point - but I did not really forget that, it’s just not something I could do without altering my vintage submersible model further - and I did not want to do that. If I ever build a submersible model from scratch - I would certainly put that in the design to make it as accurate as possible :-) thank you for watching my movie!
i like it how he used the Lego Titanic's life boats
I really like the radio control model where did you get it?
Mine came from Walmart.com a few years back, but you can find it on Amazon.com and a few other online websites, I suggest just doing a google search to find the best price as it varies - expect costs ranging from $130- $200 - happy hunting!
When the bell rang, it sounded like a school bell
It is actually a school bell sound effect, when I made this video that was all I could find for a bell - not the 3 rings that actually happened but as close as I could get at the time...
I have that same ship
I like the way when poor the purpelorss acually work!
The rc one?
Murdoch actually brought the port around the iceberg to prevent it from hitting the propellers
Alright, But apart from that it was pretty good.
Diamond Mare thanks!
I said shut up
How did you get the propellers working?
4:56 Is actually RMS Mauretania not RMS Carpathia because i see the name.
You are correct :-) I did not have a Carpathia model so I used Mauretania in it’s place :-) at least it was Cunard line right? LOL :-)
@@ourdogzippy Yeah XD is Cunard liner, So you are buy the model from titanic honor and glory store right?
@@ourdogzippy Can you make a video about Britannic and Olympic?
@@ourdogzippy Oh
2:45 iceberg ahead!!!
Excellent video presentation, but it was the Olympic that sunk not the Titanic
Nope titanic sunk
@@Guestnotfound_19 that's what you was tourt but you are wrong they pulled an insurance job, look into it
I'm sorry but tamya is gonna have to make Carpathia model, u did very good but forgive me there wasn't a Carpathia in the pool
thank you, yes - I would love it if there were was a Carpathia model available!!! sadly I did not have a Carpathia model so for that role I used a Mauretania model... I tired to use close camera angles so that only one funnel could be seen at any time to give the appearance of Carpathia - however with the name Mauretania right on the bow, clearly visible in the life boat scenes - it interferes with the illusion a little bit... but hey - at least it was a Cunard ship right? LOL
such a sad regret, well the next anniversary comes upon us so lets hope the next video has the models of the Lusitania and a sub
That does sound like. Good video idea! Perhaps someday :-)
I think its a fantastic idea to do for a video to do on her anniversary so hope to see it soon
@@ourdogzippy titanic
I each titanic 5 times a day 🛶+🎻=titanic
Yes it dose
How Did You Get A Carpathia Model
Hi - it’s actually not a Carpathia model - It’s a Mauretania model - I just filmed it in a way to make it look like Carpathia for the video. I don’t know of any model kits presently out there of the Carpathia. You would think a company would make one! You can get a pretty nice hand painted and prebuilt model of it from Titanic Honor & Glory’s website :-)
