yes...but i would say that, in my opinion, the Bronze sounds fantastic, for me better than Silver...and costs more less!...incredible. the have a really warm sound, very clear....in all sections; that what i ask to a loud speakers. :)
i have bronze 5 /bronze 2 5.0 home theater setup and it has weaker bass, but same or littlebit better clearance because smaller midrange speaker, and i pay 100€ / piece used, and i have tuned months to get +-6db 50 -20000hz straight frequency response in my room, and they sound for the price AWESOME !, i probalby take some day videos and upload to tube.
You’ve saved me money, thanks. I have the Monitor Audio Bronze and these silver don’t sound any different. Even if they did, it would have to be a significant amount of difference. I’ll keep my Bronze.
I haven't listened to the Silver 300's, but I used to have a pair of Bronze 6 with a Vincent SV-237. They are very well balanced and non fatiguing speakers, I used to listen to jazz for hours. If they had a little more detail/accuracy in treble department, would be a wonderful choice for a lifetime.
I have a feeling that the Silver 300 sound better as time goes by, I think they really need a longer period of break-in. They sound nicer than in previous tests.
The Bronze sounds to me more realistic and natural life-like , The Silver are too sterile, soft and bright for my taste. The Bronze series are certainly not high-end speakers but are great value for money and will be a wonderful start for audiophile begginers.
i guess i am the only one who thinks that the silver 300 sound better ... not because they are more expensive... but because they do sound better.... but not 2X better as the money is 2x more expensive
Monitor Audio are one of my favorite speakers, but, like a fool, I sold both my Bronzes and Silvers. I'd have a hard time affording even Bronzes now, but if I was rich, I'd buy the Gold 100. It's the best stand mount speakers I've ever heard.
I can say that Silver is not for everybody, if you like this kind of music, its OK. If you wan't something more versatile go for the Bronze. But, in my opinion there are better choices for this price range, Jamo, JBL, KEF, Polk. Having a pair of Bronze and with a plenty of listening of MA, I can say go for the Gold, or elsewhere.
The Silver Series surpasses the Bronze Series hands down. Also, the bookshelf speakers in the Silver line are really impressive with clarity and punch after having heard them at a local stereo store. The Bronze Series, however, is a great buy on a modest budget.
I can even tell from this video, using PHilips SHP9500s (and having lots of experience with audio) that the 300 is a much cleaner presentation overall than the bronze. I find the Bronze to have splashy treble, and a certain grain to its midrange... Not terrible or anything... they still sound good. Just not as good as the 300 in those regards - and the 300 has better vocal and instrumental delineation, on top of it. Again, none of this is to say the Bronze are bad; they're just not as good as the Silver series.
James, I appreciate your input. I am debating getting a complete Silver Series setup for my nee system, but am considering Arendal’s 1723 Series. Do you have any experience with Arendal and how they compare to the Silver Series? Thanks!
@@jasonleonard4529 Unfortunately I am not familiar with the Arendal line because none of my local stereo shops have it in their inventory. Best wishes though with your final choice. Cheers !
@@jameschant2740 thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to get back to me and letting me know! The fact that you like the Silver Series does help though. Thanks again!
Hi, friend. I had a pair of Bronze 6 some years ago, and now I own a pair of Silver 300 in satin white. The Silvers, essentially, are a step up in bass extension, soundstage (tweeters have a big lateral dispersion), detailing and clarity. Also the Silvers are very well made, in all aspects. Despite that, I really enjoyed the sound of the Bronzes when I had them, it’s more like a round sound, fat, good to listen to.
Hi marcello, now i have bronze 6. Do u think its worth it if i just add 1 pair of silver 300? Im back and forth between silver300 or dali opticon 6 mk2 for same price range. I cant contest coz i need to buy online
In your round #1 test, it seems evident to me that the Silver 300 is better in details and clarity, but in round #2, it hard to see the difference between the two?? From the manufacturer specs, there are not a lot of difference between the two models. The manufacturer is reputed to be very professional no matter the price range of their models.
@Hoy Sum thanks for your feedback. I’m debating between the Silver Series for my new system but also considering Arendal’s 1723 Series. Do you have any experience with Arendal. If so, how would you compare the Silver Series to them? Thanks!
In my country, Bronze 6 costs 700€ and Silver 300 1600€ for the pair.
Bronze 6 is simply fantastic for the money!

May be, it is youtube's distortion, but, Bronze 6 sounds more pleasant, more relaxing, musical, warm, without sacrificing any details
I liked BRONZE more, the middle is more balanced.
The Bronzes have always been voiced with a fuller midrange than the Silvers

i agree.
anyway, though Monitor Audio are not considered high-end speakers, they are almost equal to them.
@@bluesmau69 what are some high end good speaker brands

some of the best are, Focal Chorus, for example, but I love the Sonus Faber...
marvellous.

Could use a little sound treatment in that room. Both of those speakers had that nails-on-chalkboard high end.

Now when I own both, Silver 300 is much better in any aspect.
SILVER 300 sounds way more premium.
I think Silver 300 sound better than the Bronze 6 but is difficult apreciated by this way.
Nice comparison and please share the complete audio file if possible for bronze & silver can be uploaded in dropbox or similar site...thanks

Play some music that asks questions of the speakers.
Would love you to add Tannoy Xt8fs in to this with same song pls pls pls
Does Silver 300 have bigger soundstage and more spacious sound than Bronze 6 or they are the same in this department?

Can i drive correctly the Bronze 6 with my Marantz PM 6006 ( 2x45w per channel) ? Thank you very much for your advice.

Hi, who is the performer of this song/ cover ?
how do these compare to b&w
The MAs have a lot fuller midrange. B&Ws have recessed mids and real bright highs
how are bronze 6 vs dali 7 ? if you leave the listening position can you still fell the base ?
how to compare if the second half of the songis completely different??!!??!
bronze 6 is harsh, silver 300 refined, if compare w Bronze 6!!!
Silver 300 or Evo 4.4?
No difference. You don't have to pay twice as much for Silver!
How is Monitor Audio Bronze 5 !!!
Song?
hi who is the artist on the song?
found it :) Simone Kopmajer
Silver 300
Bronze is better
I won't call this budget!
What is the point of this? all we can hear is how it sounds being reproduced through our own speakers
What is the integrated amp seen here?
It's an Advance Acoustic Xi75
Again and again and again and again, bland undemanding music used to mask the limitations of audio equipment.
Yeah I wish these people would actually play music that most people know about or listen to
tannoy xtf8 its better!!
Not refined. Just full bodied.
