Ford Fiesta WRC Plus "Evo" Sound - Teemu Suninen & Valentino Rossi at Monza Rally Show 2018

With the 2018 edition of the Monza Rally Show we saw the introduction of the WRC Plus class, the rally monsters currently used in the World Rally Championship. M-Sport brought 4 of its Ford Fiesta but two of them were a bit "special". Not just because they were driven by WRC driver Teemu Suninen and MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi but mostly because they were fitted with the new upgraded aero introduced back in July 2018.
In fact at the 2018 Rally Finland, Sebastien Ogier's Fiesta was with new shaped side mirrors, similar to those used by Toyota and Hyundai, and big modification of the rear wheel arches and rear diffuser (still pretty similar to the Yaris' design). For the 2019 season it seems like these aero package will be on all the cars but with some further changes, as they are already visible in some videos of the tests done this week.

Hi Bozzy. These cars and their respective drivers are incredible. I guess my favorite part is seeing how quickly they change direction. That followed by brutal acceleration make for pure excitement. Fantastic job covering this event, Bozzy! You and your mate killed it, dude.👏 Also, the split screen was a very cool and innovative editing achievement on your part! Brilliant work! Rossi & Suninen are definitely at the top of their game and comparing the split screens, it looks like there isn't a split second between them. Personally, I love that Red Bull machine and the way it dances. Looks so balanced and on the edge of slip and grip. Another win for you, Bozzy... outstanding video. Of course, when you win, we all win!🙌🙌🙌 Cheers!

Thanks my big friend! I really appreciated seeing for the first time these WRC Plus at Monza, especially these two with the updated aero. Even there's always much criticism about Valentino on how he could be that fast compared to a professional rally driver (the finger is always pointed towards his "out of regulation" car) I personally think you really must have talent to be able to drive these machines to their limit, and he has a lot. But I'm not happy by the fact the official WRC drivers, that every year came to the Monza Rally, struggle to keep Valentino pace just for one simple reason: tires. For sponsorship reasons WRC drivers or even other had to use Michelin tires that aren't as good as Pirelli ones on the circuit's asphalt. So even if in those shots difference isn't that noticeable, there's always 4/5 seconds per stage between Teemu and Valentino :'(
