I used Clays’ step drill last night on the first tee,before my league, to reinforce my weight transfer. Did 3 repeat swings. Nailed my first drive with a nice soft draw with plenty of carry. Clays the real deal in instruction. Thanks Clay. P

It doesn't necessarily encourage a fade. If you hit the ball lower on the face then it will typically spin more. If you cut across the ball and hit lower on the face to add spin then it will fade more. Play well! Quentin | TSG Instructor

Why does a low tee encourage a fade, does it have to do with the impact position on the face?

I like best putting the club toe down and swing it ... very light... then turn it up as normal and feel the weight come up ... very simple that way ;)
