Everything about this was perfection. The music and visuals speak more about Scotsman's character than any line could have delivered. I love the final shots of Scotsman and D199 racing down the line. The shots of comparing the two, symbolising past and present. There is yet more symbolism with the characters themselves. D199 is just another engine, his name holds no water but he's perfect to put next to Scotsman, who literally represents steam. The last A3 still standing on the mainland. The last steam engine still running on the mainline. He clearly feels the need to represent not only his fallen siblings. But steam in general. So seeing someone of no significance like D199 trying to one up him, instantly gets on his nerves because it's not D199 himself that bothers Scotsman but it's what D199 is apart of: Dieselisation. Around this time the steam ban would have been announced. Steam was shunned away from the mainline. Except for Scotsman. Scotsman clearly knows his value and what he represents. He knows that even through he's safe. This won't stop the diesels from tormenting him or any of the remaining steam engines. But this won't stop him, he will continue to run for steam. He will never back down from a fight. Even if it forces him to go at enormous lengths to win. I think it goes within saying that I really love this video. Hope you don't mind my ramblings here.
This was so beautifully done.. i don't know what to say The shots of scotty and d199 practically racing eachother gave me chills from the music to the camera angles and the quality it was so beautifully done! Your content is amazing and i cannot wait to see what you have in store next!!
Not gonna lie, the mean-tempered diesel locomotives boasting about demolishing steam is pretty sad. If it wasn't for the steam trains, the diesel trains wouldn't even be here at all. There are a lot of friendly, well-meaning, caring, and sympathetic diesel locomotives who care deeply for the steam trains and are also willing to help preserve them. It actually is true.

Bro I loved this but it does show that amongst all the changes made to Britain's railways since the days of steam, some things will never change, and there will always be steam chuffing around somewhere in the UK. Heck steam preservation is huge all across Europe! I heard that places like Sri Lanka still run steam!
Flying Scotsman arrives on sodor to see his brother Gordon then D199 arrives with a train of his own and when 199 becomes proud of himself and Scotsman is angry because of this he speeds up and a race soon begins it was going to be Flying Scotsman or D199
