His best skill is without a doubt reading the defense. He's got a super high Basketball IQ and is not afraid to challenge star players.

Almost every one of those numbers were below league average. The media had no one to make a star of in Utah so they came up with these ridiculous categories to pretend Hayward was good, when all being "one of just 7 players to get 18+ points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and shoot 36%+ from 3" means is that guys who were Way better than that, but who shot literally 1% worse from 3 were left off the bogus list, or guys who got 6 more rebounds than him but 0.5 less assists, because that 0.5 assist meant so much.... Points per game means absolutely nothing. He was below league average in points per possession used(so he hurt the Jazz by getting that 19.3. They'd have scored more if he hadn't taken those shots), below the 6.1 rebounds SF league average per 36, 0.6 turnovers worse than league points/assists ratio, worse than the 2.1 blks/stls average for SFs, worse than the league .472 shooting % average, but hey he was a whopping 1% above the .353% 3 point average. He got his team 1 more point than average in that every 30 games! He was also 0.8 points worse than average points per 100 possessions defensively, in spite of taking no chances to get average steals or blocks. Wow!!!! He's not great or terrible at anything, but below average at the vast majority, and the definition of below average is "bad". He was the Most average player in the league, so he's got that going for him. Too bad it's a league where it only matters to be exceptional in some areas because flaws in others will be covered up by teammates who are also exceptiinal in those areas, so the Jazz lost and lost until they got a decent player in Hill and a schedule with just 33 winning teams on the whole season this year(meaning an average team should get 49 wins(they'll get 48 with their .500 talent))

Another note- Hayward was(and still is, by the facts) worse than the league average defensively in every single category(yet you'd think he's awesome by the Utah homers and media) including the total points given up per possession, which shows you everything that went on defensively, in spite of playing alongside Favors and Gobert for 3/4 of his minutes, he's So bad. Think about how bad that means you have to be- those guys have averaged giving up just 100 points per 100 possessions for 3 years. So for 27 of Hayward's minutes each game, he automatically got just a 100 rating due to those guys, yet he's given up 105 for all his minutes all three years. That means in just 9 minutes per game, to raise that total number up by 5 points, he gave up 20 points worse than when those guys were on the floor to save his idiocy, which is 16 worse than league average, since they werent there to fix him being that terrible! That is the very bottom of the league. That's why they couldn't win with him as their number 1 option. The crap people point out to try to make him look good is fluke or irrelevant(like points per game, regardless of looking at him taking every tech and must foul FT, gaining so many garbage time points from blowouts and constant fouling at the end of every other game to get 5 points more that 90% of the league does not since the Jazz were right around .500, etc)
