Never thought I'd like motion controls for aiming until I actually tried it. Looks like a cool controller.
The gyro on this controller only uses analog input on console. i know the armor x pro from the same company also has passhtrough on pc. So you can map mouse to the gyro. Wich is better then just simulated rightstick gyro. I dont know if vk was using the gyro as a mouse in aim labs? But even on pc apex legends does not suppport mixed inputs. So you can use gamepad controls and mouse at the same time. So your stuck with either mappinkeyboard and mouse to the gamepad just to use gyro as a mouse. or you need to map gyro to the rightstick (wich this controller does on console).

Wow, I've always liked motion control aiming, and there have been a couple times I've been annoyed some games don't have gyro. This controller seems very high quality and looks dope as hell. I really hope I win the giveaway, and if I don't I'll probably get it for my birthday :))

I like how it’s only on when you aim. Finally someone was smart enough to come up with that implementation. I hate motion controls because if I move the whole screen moves all the time. But here it’s just when you aim. I like that.
Having gyro only active whilst ADSing isn't anything new, it's been a thing since the PC community have been messing with Gyro controls in shooters atleast as far back as the Steam controller if not before then
Oh this isn't a new feature at all. Steam input allows all sort of configurations to activate/deactivate gyroscope. Games just need to start implementing gyroscope more widely.
@@aboveaveragebayleaf9216And even developers that do implement gyro make the horrible mistake of using only analog gyro. The gyro needs to be a mouse. I dont mean to say that the gyro should not have any filtering of smaller movements. Even the new steam beta update has filters for smaller movements. But making gyro just emulate the right stick is just wrong.
I saw a post from jibbsmart a while ago where he stated that implmenting gyro as a mouse is way easier then having to code in analog aim curves for the stick and gyor. He also mentioned that it will only take one person one full day of coding and maybe a few hours of testin to make a good gyro implementation.Honestly developers should just read the entire gyro wiki. For example God of war ragnarok only has gyro controls because one person on the development team (who worked on controls) was a fan of gyro aiming. Finally the gyro uses the natural sensitivty scale and it has the highest maximum sensitivity of any sony title. Although it still is only 1:3.
The minimum of gyro sensitvity range should be from 1-10. 1 Should just be a 1:1 translation of your movement. This means that one full rotation of your controller translates to 360 degrees ingame. I mostly use 1:4 in all games on pc (and on the few titles on console that have this like deathloop, Fortnite, warzone 2 - 3, and boomerang x ). Also Flick stick would be a great option. I mostly use gyro always on and flick stick. But right now i am experimenting on god of war to only have gyro on when using flick stick and when aiming.
This way i can reduce the small gyro jitter when not trying to aim. But the new gyro beta update has pretty good filters that turn of the gyro when your hands are pretty much stable.
I really liked the way how the motion control works, it seems quite responsive as well!

Big fan of gyro here! Many games I'd rather play on Switch because they handle better the motion controls... but with this controller there are no limitations :)

Nice Idea! Motion Control Rules. It is strange that the same game on Switch sometimes has motion controls. Epic took years until they added motion controls to non Switch Systems for example. Too bad the controller is not wireless yet. That would be the cherry on the cake :D

This controller looks amazing! using a gyro controller with PC games will be great. hopefully the steam deck and this controller make it more well known and supported.
there is also the xim nexus that let you use motin aim on xbox as wel as ps4 games. if you use a remote play option with a beloader adapterb(that strips away audio and video signal ) you can even use motion in ps5 games. it is however a more expensive controller but with alot more customazation options. the controller has a dongle that needs the original console controller as a authentification device. So if you want to play on one of the consoles for example you connect the dongle to your ps4/ps5 or xbox. you connect the ps4/5/xbox orioginal controller to the dongle. the xim nexus then connect wirelely to dongle. hte nexus uses onboard software that can load different game profiles on the controller. you connect the controller with the app on your phone/pc and you load the st (game profile) of your choice. you can then edit the game profile through the app. wich is super easy to use, even if you dont now anything about software.

I did find it was accurate to the motion control experience where it's faster, but you do miss slightly more.
I had the gameboy with the same look back in the day...course it didnt light up like the controller does...and the toggle buttons on the back...and the power button was faulty and turn itself off randomly...
So what I'm saying is the Raindbow would be a better option 😁
This controller would be a huge upgrade for my PS4 gaming experience. To have gyro involved on games would make things so much easier!!
The thing is, ps4 controller already has gyroscope, but game devs don't all support it. Native support is much better than this type of work around. With good gyro implementation games could even drop aim assist, and make crossplay that much better.

Does the controller have passthrough for pc? I mean can you use gyro as a mouse on pc in aim labs. Or can the controller only use analog gyro? I know the armor x pro from the same company has passhtorugh in switch mode and dualshock 4 mode, but what about this controller. Also what gyro did you use. The onboard analog gyro conversion or did you map the mouse to the gyro in aimlabs?

I assume your testing with aim lab was from lack of gyro usage or that controller's gyro just isn't that good. The first time I tried the Dualsense gyro with aim lab I was just under 48,000
Why don't they made an attcmachment for Ps4 or 5.

i have rainbow 2 pro and it was twice as expensive as the normal one with the FN function, but the rainbow 2 pro doesnt have any FN button.. how do i enable motion control???!
My rainbow 2 pro has not arrived yet, but probably you can enable motion controls through the big big won app

Yes since it simulates gyro through the analog sticks it will work on any game
