I love this girls voice, she is such a great singer.
This song feels like it's a divergence from her earlier music, but still good.
And change, and evolution is always a good thing to see /hear.

I am American and I also prefer her Faroese singing, even though I don't understand a word of it. For me, it's because it's easier to regard her voice as an instrument telling the story of the song through sound rather than words. My understanding of and connection with her Faroese music is found through intuition and pure, free flowing emotion instead of language, and I find that makes for a deeply beautiful relationship, and a meaning that can't be captured in words.
Of course, I enjoy her English-only songs too, but the experience is completely different. When she has an English and a Faroese version of a song, I always listen only to the Faroese 😊
@@Audifan8595 i love her singing in her own language, but i really want to understand what she says. it just seems to be more authentic in Faroese, seems to be easier to get her feelings to what she is singing. But thats just me. `d like to know her ideas to it - every single time (cause i do not believe, that the language is meaningless for her). But what i really want to talk about with her is something else (i think others are better partners for discussing music than me). i´d like more to talk about the songs contents. to me all good things are things to do. i´d like to talk about her country, her life, friendship, children and childhood, mankind, plants, animals, so many things - and maybe even politics (but just cause its Eivør!). would love to have an opportunity for true friendship - but we never met, thats all undone, you know what i mean? my times spent with her songs always were good times - ´d love to give something back...maybe its better when its not music or ideas to music from me? :-)) and for that i truly need to know what she says, not just the flow of her feelings - the flow is just hugging me - and to me that is not enough (a bit one-sided?)!

I love all the songs she ever sung in Faroese ❤️ They are my favorite songs in the whole world! English versions are good too, but only a few of those makes me mirror that passion. Nothing beats the use of ones mother tongue ❤
