First time I got to know Eivor's music was with her song i Tokuni when it accidently came through my playlist 7 years ago. I was hypnotised and listed to it non stop. Later in 2017 I went to Krakow with friends. In the train I read that Eivor is performing that evening! What a coincidence! I left friends and run to the concert, feelling totally in love with her music. Since that time she is my favourite singer. I visited Faroe Island and I actually learned about them from Eivor. This song is like a thunder striking exactly like i Tokuni many years ago. My admiration to you, dear Eivor. Looking forward seeing you at the concert this year.

Similar story here. I listened to her album Salt on repeat while writing my thesis. I went to Foroyar last year, learning about it from her. I even made a video from our trip using Salt as a background song (it's on my profile).
Same here. I got the chance to meet her when she did an impromptu performance in LA years ago. I think she was out her to record a soundtrack I don't remember. No one knew who she was but I did. She was shocked. I told her i Tokuni took over my life in the best way possible. I saw her again during her north american tour. Amazing.
Í Tokuni was also the first song I heard from her. It was in a documentary about the North Cape. I was immediately fascinated!
The reason I fell deeply in love with Kate Bush's music was she convinced me she was not from this realm. I offer the same tribute to Eivor, she is not from this realm
There aren’t too many women in my opinion that I have this same sentiment towards, for me, she is one of a handful full of women I am lucky to witness their talents they are that diamond in the ground that is one a kind and hard to find. The fact that they are powerhouses in their own right speaks volumes.
Eivor is Norse goddess. We simply ADORE and worship her.

This has literally *nothing* to do with her "roots" or even anything Scandinavian. It´s Hollywood´s take on it and she does it well but do not delude yourself that this is connected to anything besides Hollywood and other RUclips musicians.
Her music makes me yearn for a place I miss yet never seen.
Her best release in awhile,,, absolutely fantastic on so many levels!

So what's going on here? Well Eivor has fused Norse lore about Fólkvangr rising from the dead to aid the Aesir, and the witches that perished during the Burning Times. Basically, women (and men) whom were associated with heathenism were burned as witches and this song seems to represent their resurrection along with the rise of neopaganism. Now, it goes without saying that this is my own interpretation. But I'm very much convinced that is this theme of the song.

What a powerful song and striking visuals... She is the embodiment of the alpha female, Norse goddess, Mother Earth singing to us..
