I have a similar fan my grandfather bought, I figure it had to be 1922 when he got it. It's been in the family ever since. It's been used very heavily year after year. My grandmother ran it for decades day after day all summer long. My mother then used it a lot and now I've got it and we run it whenever it gets hot, no restrictions no hesitation if it's hot it goes on. So it's about 97 years old now and still running strong. I have done some wiring, and of course serviced it and lubed it. The oscillator shows some wear, otherwise these things go and go and go.. induction motor- the original brushless motor has only one moving part, the bearings are actually bushings. Today's fans last one or two years then they fall apart.
