I am an art teacher and I use your video over other professional videos. I love the realness that your video shows, especially to my elementary-aged students, and it makes them feel excited to get started! Thanks for posting!!
Really nice video! Years ago, I made a pinata for a children's function, however, because I suffer from globophobia (fear of balloons), I made the pinata in two halves by putting the layers of papier-mache over two kitchen bowls, then I glued the two halves together. Not a method I would recommend, as it forms a weak fracture line around the pinata. Anyway, great video! :-).
In China we have developed and mastered the method of efficiency and articulation with the cheapest material. So even tho our products are very cheap (RMB) the quality and functionality of the products are still workable.
Do you mean to mix it with boiled water? All together and not adding room temperature water? And do you have to wait for the boiled water to cook down? Thank you
Hi can i ask a question? I saw your video and made a piñata base just like how you did it except that I used a bigfer balloon. I did it twice already but evrytime I finish the first coat, and wait for a little time to dry, my balloon pops out. Can you help me for some advice on how to? I don't know if its because of the flour, if it tightens the balloon when its starting to dry?
apply petroleum jelly on the balloon at the beginning, and the fist coat of paper show only be dipped in water, this will ensure that when you puncture the balloon it will not stick and come out easily, without damaging the shape of your Pinata.
Thank you for this video! I have one question though, would I be able to use Elmer's Glue for this? Please respond asap, I need to start working on this project soon
Just to clarify some commonly asked questions: 1. R.T.P water = room temperature water 2. You can use other types of papers but newspaper is readily available and thinner than normal white paper which makes it breakable (afterall it's a pinata!) but if you're trying to make something thicker and sturdy, feel free to use thicker paper. 3. You can use glue too but glue would also make the pinata less breakable and would take a longer time to dry. It may also stick onto surfaces while drying and can get very messy throughout the process whereas the flour paste will not. Hope it clarifies! If you have any other questions, feel free to comment down below :)
I love your Piñata! I made one with my kids using a balloon. We will try yours next check out our channel if you want to do a simple one with your kids.
+Josephine Castelli hey, i think it might be too thin when soaked in the paste. You could use newspaper as the base before using tissue paper over it :)

I don't think thats a good idea, the candy will get covered with petroleum jelly
