- Three keen young men have arrived from the North IsIand with their 6 hunting dogs. They are staying with me for a week and are excited to test their legs on some public back-country terrain. I find it very annoying that RUclips is so hard on videos of pig hunting, but videos of deer and other animals being hunted seem to be just fine with them. I really like how you take young people out hunting like you do. I feel it's good for both of you.

Dam right mate. Young people keep us old farts young and youtube have an AI system that just buggers up good pig hunting vids. It is next to impossible to show the full hunt.

i'm not the biggest fan of hunting, but this is in my pretty much ok list - this is "real" hunting, not some folks sitting in cars in the african plains or some big game resort in the usa.

That is some pretty unforgiving country, its like elk or sheep hunting here in Canukistan.
The Pigs didn't get away but that chilly bin nearly did. Everyone earned their delicious dinner.

My 54yr old mind went back 36 yrs and remembered the first time my lazy arse got her 1st sow with my girl 🐶kaos..Whangapeka track Tapawera.. the memories
I have hunted many times up the Peka. Wright creek has produced some good pigs. I still do the occassional hunt up courthouse flats. There have not been so many pigs up there in the last 5 years. 20 years ago I was reguarly catching pigs around the 140lb.

Crocs are survival shoes if you get lost you can boil them and eat them they have nutrition Google it.

Have you ever tried biltong or boerewors? I'd think with so many South Africans an Rhodesians in NZ they must be available there. If you try some and like it, you could make your own version using wild pig. 👍

Really enjoy your videos. Wish you posted more often. RUclips has a problem with real life. For every person that gets Offended by hunting videos needs to watched a video on the life/death of the animals that are raised on big farms(they are not what I call a farm but not sure what to call them) solely for human consumption. That's what I call Offensive.

Very kind of you mate. A hand made knife is something very special. I give all the young blokes that don't have knives something cheap for their first knife so if they lose it, it does not matter. Yep. I stumbled on an elderly couple in their late 70s up the Serpintine having a root just off the track. They were both deaf so they never heard me steaming through the scrub. She was making so much noise I went up there because I thought someone was getting murdered. I left them in peace to finish their love making with out them ever having seeing me.

If I was smart and didn’t have a problem manoeuvring through technology, I’d start another video platform for creators to share daily “reality” videos. It’s needed to bring RUclips back into reality. Like how Netflix was brought back to reality when the other Hollywood videos platforms popped up.
