    Fury got up at 9. There were no delays. Just the usual confirmations by the ref that he was comfortable letting the fighter continue. Now if you wanna talk about a ref giving a fighter time to recover? The ref in your fight against Ortiz was veeeeeeeeeery kind to you Wilder.

      Alex Reid Count of 9, After Fury being allowed to lie there, with a stunned ref not doing anything, but standing there looking shocked, after Wilder hit Fury the third time. That is when he should have waved off the fight, but didn't, but started a Late count. Watch it for yourself. I was just looking at this ref in Wilder's fights. He is very consistent, quickly does his job, Until that Fury fight, with the 12th round knockout.

    • @dreeboogie
      @dreeboogie 5 лет назад +2

      Joshua Woodard it couldn’t have made it a draw, in a 12 round fight the most you can get in any round is 10 points. I’ll give give Deontay 4 rounds...that’s only 40 points that leaves 8 rounds that Fury won. Boxing doesn’t work like that meaning just because you knock someone out and they get back up you automatically win the fight. Tyson Fury in my opinion easily won 9 out of those 12 rounds. Anything Deontay did would only have counted for that particular round not the entire fight.

    As fans of Wilder we need to be honest with him so he can protect his craft. He boxed horribly and as fans we need to have his back and tell him he was terrible we believe he lost and he needs to get back in the gym and work on his boxing fundamentals. Joshua is EXCLUSIVELY a Sky Sports Box Office fighter, so even if the deal exists it was a no go from day one because they wanted it on BT.
      Funny how you don’t mention that Hearn and Joshua have been chasing Wilder ever since the Povetkin fight. No mention that they offered Wilder a straight fee, a percentage and a 2 way rematch clause but Wilder still refused to sign it. When are you fanboys going to wake up and realise this man has NEVER had any interest in fighting AJ but only wanted to use his name for publicity?

    Fury was more accurate in all phases (26%-17% overall, 21%-16% jabs and 37%-17% power).
    Wilder landed just 17% of his power shots after landing 55% in his previous 8 fights. Fury limited Wilder to 71 total connects (6 per round) and Klitschko to 52 (4 per round). Heavyweight avg. is 15 landed per round.

    I thought something was wrong with that count too. If you look at the clock at the exact time that Furry hit the floor it says 221 and when he got up was exactly 211, if you do the math that's exactly 10 and not 9 like the ref had at that moment. Also what's going on with all those extra seconds the ref gave Furry after the knock down, he gave Furry way too much time and that was unfair to the other fighter.

    • @townsvillian12
      @townsvillian12 5 лет назад

      The count does not start the moment a fighter hits the floor, but the moment the other fighter is in the farthest neutral corner. It took Wilder at least two seconds to do this as he was still celebrating his "victory" with his classy throat-slitting gesture. Quite properly, the Ref. started his count at that point and no sooner. And its not ten seconds to get up, its the referee's count of ten, which is not quite the same thing. As Fury was demonstrably fit to carry on, credit must be given to the ref. for not making a "quick stoppage"

    IMO, one of the biggest problems w/ the fight game is people’s experience, expectations, and understanding of the fight game...As an 80’s baby , we learned to have the expectation that when you face the champ for a title, there is no outboxing the champ for points, you have to totally dominate him Or knock him out... Too many new fans think about point scoring in the pros in the way that you should in the amateur ranks! In the pros you either dominate or destroy - Fury did neither...

      @@christof123 And got up both times and doesn't matter once you are over 200lbs. He probablu cuts from a larger weight also. He is CUT and 212lbs is not tiny. Ali was not much bigger if bigger. Fury Won 90% of the fight. Take away the last knockdown and Wilder got Dominated the whole fight. The 1st knockdown Fury popped right back and beat him again. Wilder got outboxed for like 34 of 36 mins

    Two 10-8 rounds would mean that Wilder needed only to win 3 other rounds for a draw
    I personally gave him the two 10-8 rounds and 2 other rounds. So I had him losing 114-112
    But it’s not inconceivable to think that a judge might have given him 1 other round. Considering Wilder pushed the action in most of the rounds.
    But if you think about... we needed a draw. We needed both fighters coming out of looking legitimate.
    Now AJ doesn’t have such a huge disparity in negotiation leverage. And THATS really what us as boxing fans needed

    6 weeks prior to fight night this dude Wilder fractured his right arm went in for surgery and still went ahead with the fight. Most fighters would've put it off until they were at full health.

    I think on skill Fury won including the knock-downs. A humble Wilder deserves attention and respect. I guess a draw was generous to Wilder, but like the man says, a rematch will be decisive. Respect to Deontay. I was cheering for him.

    He’s gotta say he thinks he wins. That’s his job. He knows in his heart and soul that he lost that fight. And the only people saying Wilder won, are Wilder’s people.

    4:22 showed how humble & down to earth Deontay is REALLY is. I bet that fool would NOT have said that to Mike Tyson!!! Deontay should have checked him. At least verbally or sarcastically...
    Deontay is a TRUE role model walking around as a modern day Warrior/Superhero for the youth.
