Not enough vids of woods/trail buggys simply out doing fun trail rides like this. Thanks for throwing up this vid! Too many off-the-shelf side-by-sides and no imagination on builds. Both of your buggies look clean and well built. Awesome
Thanks man! I have a few videos of rides on my channel so far! If you like this video check out my channel Adam's buggies and bugs! I love building these things maybe more than ridding! Thanks again for the kind words!
I have a very similar V.W. Powered desert rail buggy I run here in California. My engine is built with a 12:1 compression ratio, only downside is I have to run 110 octane race fuel but it’s fast. It has disk brakes, steering brakes, rack and pinion and power steering, lots of fun.
Mine too! I've had a few buggies over the last 25 years and the last year or so is the only videos I have! Good times! Thanks for watching! I have more videos on my channel if you are interested!
I love seeing this because I was doing something like this with my 70 beetle baja. Buy always running into road blocks. So I've decided to pick up an old 98 ford expedition for dirt cheap (600$) it runs just fixing the misfire first then gonna look into the steering amd suspension and brakes. But cutting the body off (yes I know it's body on frame) but I don't want to build a floor rather just drill a couple holes and weld plates on the frame and build a roll cage off the frame around the floor. Going to shorten the frame closer to the axle after I put some cage points where needed. Have that beefy v8 and 4wd. Delete some of the restrictions to wake it up as well if I need more power after removing most of the weight it's easy to add power to those 4.6s.
@@Adamsbuggiesandbugs I will do that. FIL got a VW chasis for me and is on the lookout for a transmission and motor. Want to have a functional chasis to take into the school at the start. Not what I was expecting to be doing when I registered for the welding program lol.

Thanks for watching! I run a stock pressure plate and a 4 puck clutch disk, those last for years in a buggy like mine and Kurt's. Kurt's had this blue buggy for about 15 years and only changed his once. I've never had the same buggy that long so I can only go by what I've seen him do. Thanks again for watching and commenting! @@Adamsbuggiesandbugs thanks for sharing. I saw another comment praising your efforts to build an off-road vehicle. I think it’s coming back. Mines a Baja bug but I want a rail someday too.
