Memes aside, Young Thug really is growing. His earlier stuff felt rinse and repeat from most auto-tune rappers but he's started getting his own flavor. I'm becoming a serious fan of his. I just hope he continues to grow and doesn't just spaz out when he notices he's leaving the memes behind

I like Thug because of his vocal inflections. I've never heard someone be able to go from such a high pitch to such a low pitch in a matter of seconds and have it work so well. His lyrics are ass but I enjoy his voice and melodies. Harambe is the best example

His albums are rated based upon the sub-genre, different circumstances. This is a trap record, he's rating the record on how good of a trap record it is. This album is great for it's sub-genre.

I love thugger. My favorite thug projects are Barter 6, Jeffrey and Beautiful Thugger Girls (even though i almost like every single one of them, slime season and I'm up has lots of bangers). Young Thug is one of my favorite new school artists, just because he seems to give no fucks and does what he wants. I agree that his lyrics sometimes are nonsense and just really random (even tho he got some gold lines here and there), but he can sing and no one (even Swae Lee) doesnt do melodies like thugger. He’s on another level. His music is just so free flowing, and really feels like an evolution of reggea mixed with hip hop. RiRi is my favorite on the project, even tho every song is a banger in my opinion.
No matter what you think of the album, you have to admit the coverart is badass.

Accept his opinions. This album was rated as a trap record. It was rated in it's sub-genre. For a trap record, this was a great project. It packs everything you'd expect in a trap record and it brings a unique reggae experience to the listener as well.

I completely agree. Ss3 and I'm up were a disappointment. Jeffrey is honestly perfection. I've loved young thug for a while and this one I think really showed his mastery of the style he's created.

Jeffery is far and away a better project than 4 your eyes only, not only that but it has better replay value and has been more influential since both projects have been released. 4 your eyes only didn't introduce any new ideas or stories we haven't heard before. Thug is constantly pushing the envelope of what rap is and how to develop melodies that we've never heard before with his unique voice. it is his biggest strength
