Only just found this on here! Cracking footage! I was the captain on the BA925 from GVA, the A319 (G-EUPO) going around @13mins and eventually landing @36mins. Great commentary too!! Having said that, I’d like to contest your assessment of me having “luckily caught a calm pocket of air”... It certainly didn’t feel it! 😅Suffice it to say, I was glad to be back on the ground that day. Phew! Anyway, loving your work! Keep it up please! 😊👍
As a private pilot, I’m always learning so decided to watch this video of the storm. Un-f’n-believable conditions. Always changing. Kudos to all the pilots who landed safely in that. Especially the 380 pilots… such a large surface area for the wind to play with. Jerry, your dedication and story telling is mega mate…. Easy son, easy!!!!
@@eloisebrynlee the landing is at 4:22:00 but I dont believe there was a tailstrike as I was at Heathrow and I watched it land I could not visually see any damage and you can see yourself at 4:22:00

Exhaust was more apparent than most others as this was likely a wind shear TOGA, as the gear was left out. Maximum thrust is selected for windshear, as opposed to the soft TOGA for a normal go around.

Ah, London at it's best. As a now retired A380 and 747 pilot I've experienced those days from the front seat. It's nice to see so many nicely handled arrivals. When the wind was from the south, it would swirl over the hangars, and made the last hundred feet especially unpredictable.

The commentary and his constant zoom in and zoom out of buildings and stuff that is completely senseless. Capture the important stuff and that´s the planes landing. Any my good, keep the camera steady...and yes that´s possible in a storm on a tripod.

Haha I love your commentary!! Brilliant! I was on BA 0280 from Los Angeles yesterday (Sunday), after circling about 20 minutes, we finally landed about 12:50! We all cheered and clapped after the landing. There was no airbridge as all the gates were occupied. They had to pull up the stairs and then we were bussed to Terminal 5. Our luggage never made it off the plane, in the storm. They said it was too dangerous to offload. Luckily we stayed overnight near Heathrow. Hope to get it today!!

I was on aer lingus flight from Dublin landing at Heathrow @16.00 during the storm...we sat an hour on the tarmac in Dublin before we were allowed to leave..taking off and landing was rough..but once we reached cruising altitude it was surreal it was so so calm and sunny...hats off to these pilots..now sitting in hospital after surgery watching your video, not related to the flight I hasten to add

Oh my days!! Such beautiful commentary!! I've never heard someone provide such excitement and thrilling moments as this individual did. I was laughing all the time especially when he uses the phrases such as "flipping heck," "get in," "come on son" and "wow yeah!" He keeps you motivated and creates an atmosphere to engage and have you watching till the end!! I wished that I was living near the area where he was located, I surely would've provided him with a flask of freshly brewed coffee. Found this by accident and got totally sucked in. My hubby is an aerospace engineer who has worked on engines, landing gear and valves so got a bit of extra commentary from him too! Goes to show British Airways pilots are the best - very few bottled it even in very trying conditions - total respect!

Every time I'm near Heathrow to visit a family I go there to watch aeroplanes landing and taking off, just above a head. It's amazing, I love it!

Oh my days!! Such beautiful commentary!! I've never heard someone provide such excitement and thrilling moments as this individual did. I was laughing all the time especially when he uses the phrases such as "flipping heck," "get in," "come on son" and "wow yeah!" He keeps you motivated and creates an atmosphere to engage and have you watching till the end!! I wished that I was living near the area where he was located, I surely would've provided him with a flask of freshly brewed coffee. Found this by accident and got totally sucked in. My hubby is an aerospace engineer who has worked on engines, landing gear and valves so got a bit of extra commentary from him too! Goes to show British Airways pilots are the best - very few bottled it even in very trying conditions - total respect!
