@@mikebogatyrev3058 I must be getting on a bit - I don't remember but it is very likely. Well when it is aver with distancing we will have a meal in this pub!
Mike, this is one amazing video you've published! Great footage, fascinating and detailed information (like that device used to clean shoes), and very fitting background music to top it off. Very much enjoyed your video. New friends and new fellow travelers over here! :-)
Thank you! I am glad you liked it! It was amazing making this piece: the more we looked around around the more history looked back at us. Have you ever been in Sonning?
Unfortunately, we haven't had the pleasure yet of visiting Sonning. Our travels to England so far have taken us to London and Stonehenge. However, your video has underscored our need to go back and explore more of the English countryside.
Two Travel and Tour Speaking of Stonehenge, there is also wood Henge which is not too far and a village of Avebury which has the megalithic circle around the village itself. Have you seen it?
@@mikebogatyrev3058 nope, when I mentioned London and Stonehenge as the only places in England we have seen, that's quite literally what I meant. What you're describing here sounds fascinating though! We just need to go back to exclusively explore the countryside.
Thanks a lot, Michael. Подписался немедленно, превосходные видео, с чувством, с толком, с расстановкой, а главное - тонко передающие самый дух, квинтэссенцию Англии. I came here having read in Wikipedia that Jimmy Page currently resides in Sonning, Berkshire in Deanery Garden.

what a lovely place
It is indeed. Have you been to Sonning or similar places to this village?
Perfect day out ! Thank you Mike for this great idea.
You introduced us to Sonning many years ago! It was quite a cool experience!

Anna Hodgkinson definitely! A nice meal in that pub sounds amazing! I don’t think I have been inside
One of the best places in England. In a very busy corner but away from the usual hassle and bustle
So small village and so much fascinating details about it in your video! Flowers, front gardens ... this is true England Thank you, Mike!
I am so glad you liked it! This place is so beautiful!
Such a lovely place. Thank you for sharing!
It is only around a corner from us, I am glad you liked it!
Hi Mike keep on posting, so a nice and informative video
Thank you. Will do indeed, there will more videos on hidden beauty of traditional English villages
Another lovely and informative video Mike! Will definitely have to stop by this lovely town once this is all over.
We try to put historical information in the vlogs to put the place in a context: be sure to visit it when you are around
Charming place, walk and comments! - Thank you, Mike! %)
Its a pleasure! Commenting on a beautiful place like this is a delight
Must have a meal and drink in that pub once pandemic is over
Absolutely yes! Once the whole situation is over, we can definitely go for a meal. I have forgotten what's it like having a pub meal...

The Beatles stayed at the white house on the left in the 1960s/70s. It looks small...but it isn't.
Exciting, just learnt that #MichaelJackson used to visit this town!
It wouldn't surprise me, I heard that he was fascinated by antique shops in England too.
@@mikebogatyrev3058 The legendary Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin owns a grand old house in Sonning called Deanery Garden too.
@@mjh5437 that’s incredible! When I listened Led Zeppelin when I was a teenager I would never think that I would see the place where Jimmy lives!

Lovely village, not sure about Greensleeves though.
This place is very beautiful. Music-wise it just felt like it’s a nice track to put there
Lovely place, shame about the huge amount of through traffic and street parking, looks like a carpark most of the time.
Yeah, everyone has a car nowadays
George Clooney has a place there
I didn’t know that! He certainly has a great taste!
