My father used to own one of these. To the best of my knowledge, there should be a couple of grease point on the back/bottom of the pickup too. Somewhere under the twine storage space. Might be you need to rotate the pickup to get them visible.
My husband just got a MF model 12 working that we found in a barn for 20+ years. If i sent you a pic of the counter could you tell me if its missing something. 😊
I will try, the counter, I think you mean what tells it when to tie… it is approx 4 inches round with large spike looking very thin and it rolls on top of the bail as it pushes out. The spikes roll along the bale and it attached to an arm like that after so many rotations it get to a spot that tells it to tie. This arm is adjustable to change your bail length. I can send a picture when I go back down to my buddies house where it is…
I was talking about the counter on how many bales it made. It's on the side. For sitting in a barn for 20+ years, my husband got it going a couple glitches. When we started, when the arm goes around, it didn't hit the wire on the counter. I wasn't sure if it's missing something.about every 10 bales One side of the knotter doesn't come off, and we stop and clean the twine off, then start again. This baler has an international motor on top of it .
We use it for our goats and pigs, also my friend Russell (his Farm), I also use it sometimes as straw when I'm diggin.... Thank you for the comment/question.
Been resurrecting my grandfather's farm, this video was beyond needed

What do you use to pick up the bales?
Well, I usually get Laura or Olivia to drive my truck with trailer and Matthew and I walk and pick them up and stack on trailer
What do you do with the hay? Seems like you probably have more than your goats could eat.
