A way to make this easier is by going for enemies before they go crazy, it definitely helps when there’s two lumiknoll. Also fully upgrading oatchi’s chomp and health, he can take out the small frys by himself

main problem is that glowmin are functionally and mechanically a reworked bulbmin, bulbmin themselves would have to be reworked to be different enough to be separate from glowmin

Glow Pikmin have the same abilities as Bulbmin(resistance to fire, electricity, water, and poison), as well as the Glowmob ability, so Bulbmin are kinda obsolete now.

They're actually based off Konpeito, Japanese sugar candy which has been historically associated with royalty and religious ceremonies due to sugar having been pretty expensive in the past and taking a long time to make. Both Star Bits and Glow Pellets are modeled after them.

I just want to mention that with proper dandori, it *is* possible to defeat all enemies before sunrise. It’s a matter of knowing of which enemies to go after if the pose a bigger threat as well as having Oatchi and the Player switching lumiknolls to protect when necessary

I liked the concept but it is not an expedition. You barely move as you need to protect the dirt mounts with the Glow Pikmins. I mean it feels more like an onslaught type of tower protect than a real expedition.
I was hoping to have different monsters at night, that maybe some caves were more dangerous at night but with higher rewards or something among those line.
I like the mode and it can get pretty rough as difficulty goes up but still i feel like what they sold us and this is rsther different despite being su much fun.

The only reason why the smoky progg isn’t as powerful here is because of his speed, he is slower than he originally was.
He also has less health.
But after playing this game, i understood the unbalance it was gonna make. Unlike the waterwraith which they could have increased the difficulty but decided to make it goo goo gaga difficulty. The smoky progg is still a nightmare on a 5 star mission

I got it second try, the main idea is glowmob the first progg, then have your captain at orange so you can glowmob the baldy. Then you can rush the second progg with a spicy spray and kill it pretty easily, just watch out for its screams

tbh for the last mission i had just set up a bunch of the glow pellets that i had been stockpiling since the first night mission, and then killed all of the emperor bulblaxes/smoky proggs before they could fuck up the lumiknolls

Protected Orange lumiknoll with Ouchin on the same took all Glow Pikmin with me and destroyed all enemies on its way to blue lumiknoll. When i was done returned to Ouchi and helped with the long legs.
Destroyed all Enemies by accident.

I found all of the night expeditions way too easy, even at level 5, mostly because I think glow Pikmin are overpowered, they’re immune to everything and their special charge attack is broken, give them the spicy spray and they can kill any boss creature in 5 seconds at most, I literally went into Cavern for a King with no Pikmin and used 100 glow seeds and swept through all the bosses before the final

I genuinely don't understand why they bothered to have Night Time missions for the first time if you can't bring all different kinds of Pikmin with you

to be fair it's been established since the first game that the Onions leave the surface at night
and none of the Pikmin we've ever seen in the first 3 games were ever known to have survived the nights
so I think it makes sense that we're limited to a new type of Pikmin that doesn't leave and has seemingly been capable of surviving so far on the surface
would be nice if we got candipop buds too so that we could change them into other kinds though... but since the glow Pikmin are essentially Bulbmin (immune to all hazards) the only things we're really missing out on are the Pikmin types that do more combat damage and stuff, though that does take some of the strategy out of it (just 1 Pikmin type for all instead of needing to pick the right type for the right job). I think the idea is that night times are more about number management and making sure you're in the right place at the right time than about doing puzzles with the different types of Pikmin.
