    Could you do a comparison review between the 2024 facelifted EQB and the Audi Q4 etron please

    Had a 7 seat gl 550 and never used the 7 seats. Bought the 5 seat eqb 300 and love it so far. Ride is smooth and with the cruise and lane assist engaged the car drives itself.

      @@AutoEV I prefer short and sweet. Don't forget that people generally watch several videos on the same car. 33 minutes? Am out!

      @@ki196 it was a difficult decision for us to make. We needed to stand out a bit in a crowded arena like RUclips and so we went for longer, more detailed videos that might assist people in a purchasing decision, rather than just the normal, ubiquitous 10 minute review. Obviously we know it will lose us views too, and your point is well made. But we stand by what we do and for those who do want a more in-depth review of an EV we want to be that voice of authority. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment however. Your support is welcome.

    Good review and nice MB dash - but did they forget the air vents and find some tacky chrome things in the back of the parts warehouse and glue them in the middle?

    Hi there how does this compare size wise to the EQC? Haven't been able to find out more in the EQB elsewhere so kudos on getting a car for your review.

    • @AutoEV
      @AutoEV  2 года назад

      It’s a physically smaller car in terms of dimensions, but in terms of interior space it’s larger by having space for 7. That said, if you don’t need the seats, the EQC is more accommodating for 5 plus luggage. However, I really like the smaller cars (EQA & EQB) for drivability. This is a brilliant car.

      I drove the EQA and was impressed with the ride quality and refinement. But I did not feel it was worth the close to £45k they were asking when compared to the Skoda Enyaq. The Enyaq had one flaw from my perspective and that was the rear suspension which gave a bit of a thump over rough surfaces. Though perhaps that was the car I was driving. The other issue with the Enyaq is getting hold of one!

  • @robindejong6883

    I have to decide what my next company car will be. I have narrowed it down to the Skoda Enyaq 80 or the Mercedes EQB 250. Both cost about the same here in Belgium. I have no need for the 7 seat option. What are your thoughts?
    Ps: there are no EQB’s available for test drives here ..

    • @AutoEV
      @AutoEV  2 года назад

      We really like the EQB Robin, and it has a lot going for it. However, the Enyaq 80 would be the one we would choose if you don’t need the 7 seats. Refined, well equipped, efficient and good looking. Let us know what you decide and thank you for watching AutoEV!

    • @robindejong6883
      @robindejong6883 2 года назад

      I went for the EQB. I actually agree the Skoda might be the better car but the thing is Skoda has had a price increase of about 3% twice in just 3 months! Together with a the difference in discount the Mercedes is noticeably cheaper than the skoda. So that ultimately made the difference for us.
      I do want to say that this channel is by far the best out there! Good reviews and not afraid to tell the truth (I for example really agree with the Model Y review).

    It’s hard to choose between EQB and Model Y… which car is better with the back seat if a car seat and two adults seat at the back?

    • @AutoEV
      @AutoEV  2 года назад

      The floor of the Model Y is flat in the rear so it gives better foot room. IN terms of width, I'd say the Mercedes has a bit of an edge, and the rear seat is a bit more sculpted and more comfortable. Also, the headroom in the Tesla isn't as good as the roofline arcs down more sharply at the rear.

    You missed the bmw i8 but good effort, totally crazy there is so many models. I was trying recently to look for the Mercedes phev with 100km battery range and CCS charging, but i just couldn't find it as there are so many different models, i would actually have to ring the Mercedes dealer to find out. I believe Tesla Model X comes in a 7 Seat version. Great review as allways.

    • @AutoEV
      @AutoEV  2 года назад

      @Stephen Fahy the i8 is out of production, hence why I left it out, and the Model X is nigh on £100k and not available in the UK at the moment until next year. Feel your pain trying to research the Mercedes. When I am writing scripts and trying to find information out on different models, it’s not easy trying to decipher all the confusing models and technical specifications. I long for a simpler time……😀

    Don’t take the piss ?
    The BLOATED OVERWEIGHT Mercedes EQB dawdles to 60 mph in over 6 seconds and is not capable of 100 mph.
    Id rather stick with my exciting Tesla MY with Performance boost option that does 0-60 in 4.2 seconds and 130 mph .

    • @AutoEV

      But Max, you miss the point. The Tesla fails at doing the basics of what it SHOULD do, which is where the EQB excels. It's a comfortable, refined family car, which the Model Y isn't. If we judged every car on its ability to just do a 0-60mph sprint then we wouldn't need to review cars, we could just list them in accordance with how they performed, and I'm afraid that isn't what AutoEV is about. We tailor each review to the market sector and compare cars and give our experienced verdict. I know that it upsets the Teslaratti, but in this instance, in our opinion, the EQB is the better 7 seat electric family car. But thank you for taking the time to watch and comment, and hopefully you will stick with us for more content. We have a triple test with another Tesla coming very soon.

      @@AutoEV Yep this. I own a Tesla that's faster than the EQB but still very tempted to trade in the Tesla for it. Seven seats would be very handy for my family and it's hugely better value than a Model X.

      @@0-Will-0 Doubt you will after trying the software and charging on longer journeys. Its awfull! It cant calculate right, you have to bring your calculator to be sure you can reach your next stop. You constantly have to open and close the door to keep the charging screen open on the dash while charging. It has no frunk, no space under the boot floor. There is nothing to do in the infotainment while chargning except listening to the radio and your charging stops will be around 30min+ everytime. If all chargers are working, apps are working and no queue. Paying more for an EQB compared to a Tesla model Y is crazy! Nice car, but a bad electric car.
