Thanks a lot for all the pictures ! Because of course, I've got the records. I love Chris since a very long time, and think we should be much more. A great dark, wild, feline guitarist, and such a sexy man... And he's got good taste : he was John Cale's favourite guitarist ("Helen of Troy", one of the best Chris' performances), plaid with Brian Eno, Manzanera, Brian Ferry. La grande classe ! PS : I remember a live record "Friday the 13rd" I never could find again, not even on You Tube, it seems.
Cool song by a cool guitarist... First time I noticed his name was on a Jack Bruce solo album, then again on John Cale's "Helen of Troy" LP. I used to see him playing with mr Cale in New York all the time. Genious guitarist!!
Man, I tell you I saw him at the Marquee doing the promo for the Hurt album. How long ago was this? Did not expect anything and he blew me away. Prob one of the most memorable nights I had there. Did anyone film it? Some people should not be allowed to age.
First heard Chris on Sharks' First Water, which I love. Just recently discovering his solo stuff, which is certainly intriguing. The guitar playing is, of course, masterful.
Spedding is a great guitarist and he has no end of really sweet riffs. The problem is vocals - he just doesn't have a convincing R&R frontman voice. There are a lot of songs that make you think - 'Chris, you really needed a Roger Daltrey or Rod Stewart here. Or a Johnny Rotten.'
ギター🎸の音が何度聞いても
最高!
thanks🎉🎉
Chris Spedding has developed this very special sound - he certainly deserves much more recognition!

Chrissie Hynde on backing vocals all over this record...love this needs a re issue desperately

Totally agree, Paul. Silver Bullet is unfortunately not seen on YT (at least not for me) =: (

great guitarist, never got the nod he deserved. his fingerprints are all over "never mind the bollocks"
Awesome tune!!
Check out the work he's done with Robert Gordon
Why wasn't Spedding huge in the US? This is the stuff I should have grown up listening to, but no one Stateside knew who the heck he was??
Wild in the street, sounds so like Iggy,
wow-which came first Blondies 'One Way or Another' or this?
I think this
It's a cover of a Garland Jeffreys song and it came first.
Nothing of blondie should be discussed here..or anywhere for that matter.
Roxy Music brought me here
Fucking sweet rythem
His voice and singing style resembles that of Rober Calvert
