Christine McIntyre was one of the most popular and best remembered supporting actors in many Three Stooges two-reel comedies. I made this tribute video featuring her numerous Stooge appearances (along with a handful of clips of her other work) to accompany my blog post about her. haphazardstuff....
#thethreestooges
In researching her life,
I made this for us fans of Christine :
What a CLASS ACT she was.

Today we remember the beautiful actress, Christine McIntyre.
Are you kidding?! Unquestionably the two greatest film shorts with the The Three Stooges Microphonies and Three Little Pirates(maja aha routine).
One of the most naturally beautiful and talented women of all time. What a delight to have seen her perform.
Christine had beauty, charisma, talent and a beautiful voice. She was the most complete Hollywood star of all times.
Absolutely!
Celts Mimieux: Unfortunately she never became a serious actress!
What a beautiful voice and face!!!!
If it hadn’t been for The Three Stooges she probably would never have been known!!!
I can't understand why this woman wasn't a huge star. This was my first exposure to the Voices of Spring. After seeing this I listened to it sung by many famous opera singers. NONE sounded nearly as good to me as McIntyre. With that voice and exceptionally good looks how was she not a movie star?
That’s the same question I was asking for over 50 years?!
As a young boy I had the biggest crush on Christine,I thought she was one of the most beautiful woman , and still do.
She was and her figure was perfect .....
You and tens of millions watching The Three Stooges!!!
As a teen boy it was "whoa"
She appeared in 36 Stooge shorts. The scene from brideless groom of her knocking out shemp is classic
Christine was such a beautiful, sophisticated lady with the voice of an angel. Yet, when she was with the Three Stooges, she could be just as crazy as they were! A rare talent, indeed. I imagine the Stooges loved working with Christine.
agree, because she was so diverse and would get involved in the slapstick they would have been made to not have her on as much.
Absolutely beautiful woman, brilliant comic timing, really knew how to play with these comic geniuses who brought the very best out in her. Her knowing, innocent, or deadpan reactions are priceless. Her finest tuned work appears with Shemp, interestingly.
I so loved her as a young man growing up a huge Stooge fan.
So beautiful and talented.
Got to know Emil Sitka a little bit as he lived in Camarillo, CA.
Sadly, never had the pleasure of meeting Christine.
God Bless her...
She had class;humor & definetly beauty!! RIP
a magnificent tribute to everyone's favorite fourth stooge - and she did many stunts and physical mayhem herself in addition to her dulcet operatic tones - love the non-stooge footage. she was the perfect bridge from curley to shemp, lending continuity. gorgeous and talented in a competitive industry, in the backlots where columbia shorts were filmed she became immortal.
Yeah, in a lot of ways i consider her, Vernon Dent and a couple of other regulars, as at least honorary stooges.
Maybe it was a sign of the times, but women back then had beauty, charm, poise, grace and style. Christine was no exception. She was my first childhood crush -- a lovely woman through and through.
Christine: "Strange men are following me". Shemp: "They'd be stranger if they didn't"
Line of the century
Omg that line - if it isn't - has to be in Top Stooge lines ever!!! Love it!! Beautiful Christine, one of a kind!
CM: You like cookie?
Moe: That I do. Especially blonde ones!
She was the best out of all the female actresses on The Three Stooges. I've never seen her in any other movies she played in but would love to watch them the first chance I get. Rest in Peace Beautiful Christine McIntyre. I was only 17 years old when you past away. You didn't live long enough for me to turn 18 which was July 24, just another 16 more days.
Definitely fabulous but crazy Symona Boniface was excellent also!!!!
She seem to be the only actress who was actually physical on the shorts, that's what made her so different than the other actresses who performed on the shorts, she was funny too.
I also love her in "Punchy Cowpunchers"... taking out ALL those guys one by one! MAN! WHAT A TOUGH CHICK! Wonder Woman, Bionic Woman, Xena and Joan of Arc eat your hearts out!!!
Christine-my favorite female stooge character actor.
Ty Cobb mine as well!
shemp howard cool
So hard to get ahead in Hollywood - this lady had more than most. Who can say how the breaks will come?
We were lucky she got as far as she did.
At least, millions and millions of boys grew up with the image of her singing “Voices of Spring” permanantly planted in their psyches. And all the better for it!
Oh my God thank you for this. Christine McIntyre, the one and ONLY. She was complete indeed. So great!!!!!
Man, when you're a kid growing up with the Stooges, who didn't like Christine...what a Dish ..!
My first absolute crush as a boy. Still the most beautiful woman that ever lived.
“Whatsa matter kid...you got a toothache?”
Very funny shemp moment.
She was a gem!
She could play any part. Beautiful voice. Classy elegant. Very good in any part. Dearly loved working with the Stooges. She was really broken up when Curly died. She called him a true gentleman. The only women he could really open up abd talk to. She often credited them for her career. She was so classy, Shemp had to tell her to really let him have it during a scene she was suppose to smack him around. She would barely do it. So on the reshoot, with Shemps coxing she really let him have. After the scene she apoli, Shemp said well sister I told you to let me have it, and you sure as hell did. .lol
She sure did. What a right!!!!!!
What a cute & talented woman she was.😍
She was the main actress of the three stooges.
Love the tribute!
I simply loved her at first glance.
love you Christine!!
Well Done! My Fav comedic actress ...
God Bless her, she was a sweetheart!
christine mclntre was a beautiful, and stunning woman. three stooges was lucky as god,s green earth, she indeed had beauty, unlike the movie stars of today.
The most beautiful woman ever!
She was so beautiful, the kind of beauty that takes one’s breath away.
Shemp. Brideless Groom. Christine McIntyre meets him at the door in a skimpy negligee, mistakes him for someone else, and hugs and kisses him extensively.
Oh, MAN.
Yeah. And then she proceeds to kick the crap out of him!
@@NuisanceMan I wonder how many fans have calculated over the years if it would be worth it.
I have heard that there are those who also like the giant can of whoop ass, but don’t tell me, I don’t want to know.
@@NuisanceMan That punch !! It sure looked REAL
She must have been so cool to work with. R.I.P.
Thanks Hap, this is a very nice selection of clips of a very talented and beautiful lady. I have always enjoyed seeing her appear in a Stooges short (plus Christine and Shemp had a lot of on-screen chemistry).
She was special
“Hold on! We’re here on business!”
“I mean business!” 🤣
I think this was one of the first women I fell in love with!
TNT Amusements Inc me,too.
Me Three!!
@@OutRayGeousVideoProductions me 4 and thousands of others
To me it was Louise Brooks in 1929 Pandora's Box.
This is GREAT!!! Thanks for posting, Christine was truly fabulous (and beautiful!!)!!
I'm convinced Christine McIntyre could have been bigger than Lucille Ball, IMO she was more talented. I don't know what kept her from becoming that big a star.
Kevin Kane she retired in 1954 because she didn't like the director Jules whites style.he was directing and producing and was the only one doing it at that point.she went into real estate at that time with her husband. Said she was happy.
"You'll forget all about love, when I marry you!"
I'd have to say that she's one of my favorite three stooges actresses.
She's absolutely my favorite Stooge actress - she was simply the best!
The kind of woman I want to marry...they just don't make em like her anymore.. smh
Happy Birthday Christine McIntyre!
what a wonderful actress rest in peace
Truly a GODDESS!
Wish she had known at the end of her life, how incredibly beloved she was by all of us. Shining beautiful star! 💫
She was always my favorite in the stooge shorts I wished I met her at one of the stooge conventions.
Bravo!!! Well done mate. She was a jewel.
Thanks for this tribute! Simply put .. I Love her.. I am in love with her.. God Bless Christine McIntyre!
Excellent Tribute to a Wonderful Talent!
5:17 she knew how to throw a punch too !
If I remember correctly, she was nervous about hitting Shemp and that it wouldn’t look convincing. Shemp told her just let him have it and she did! She did a lot of comedy shorts at Columbia in other series too.
The Lovely Miss McIntyre.
In times of no cirgury, no botox. Great Christine McIntyre
My favorite short with her was All Gummed Up.
Wow, what a dish.
Maravillosa....una chifladita mas....gracias!!!!
Christine McIntyre Is My Favorite Character. (of the three stooges),
She's like the unsung forth member of the group.

Happy Birthday Christine McEntyre
What a Dame!
She made hearts smile and laugh ! And love her for that !
curly doing the turkey gobble really cracked me up.
She simply was the best! Whether a dame no-gooder, or a sweet singing beauty; her comedy timing often times stole the show. Would love to know how they found her.
wild she was soo pretty
Toda la vida lo pense:Es una churrasca barbara esta rubia!!!!😆👍👀🌹🍃🌹🍃🌹💙😃
She is a good friend to the Three Stooges, and i bet she missed them before she passed away.
A lot of comments asking why she didn't become a bigger star. I wonder if that was because she was truly the kind of person she seems to be - down to earth - not in love with herself. It takes a lot of ambition (and conniving) to "make it big". She remained devoted to her one and only spouse until death parted them. Not a big star but a BIG talent! And a good person.
Beautiful , Classy & Multi - Talented she was will always be the Stooge sweetheart!
she was such a beauty.
Hi she was great and funny too
I never realized she was in all of those episodes
At the time, appearing in Three Stooges short films was pretty near the bottom of Hollywood film work, but after the Stooges gained zillions of fans on TV beginning around 1960, Christine herself became an admired and beloved performer too. Thus she unexpectedly has quantities of fans even today, more than a lot of people who had much bigger careers in far more significant productions. So her missing out on more important roles actually didn’t hurt her long term fame at all.
Well done and the choice of music was perfect. Thanks!
Christine is an angel
Q mujer tan linda
I had no idea she was in so many 3 stooges flicks!
per sebra 33 of them.
She could be a Honorary Stooge.
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
She had a perfect figure.
I adored this woman from afar 😍🥰😘
Star. Beatiful.
She was in the most Stooge short films of any female character actor they had at Colombia. She was also the best out of any female character actor they had.
She was a real beauty
Oh Christine, please come back ...
My favorite actress of Hollywood.
A nice tribute! But you forgot the Stooges short where she decks Jock Mahoney with one punch.
How inappropriate in today's PC world:
"Strange men are following me around."
"They'd be strange if they didn't" LOL...
Alpha-Omega the world has changed. Not for the better I’m afraid
Cristine McIntyre,era lindissima,maravilhosa.
ABSOLUTE stunner..shes always been my favorite..Lucky for me the stooges come on every Saturday so I never miss their antics and of course Christine and her beautiful voice..😁👍👍👍
Why is it after she was seen on The Three Stooges singing and her beauty she wasn’t snatched up by Hollywood for real stardom?!
She was a real hottie and had a beautiful voice.
What'a beauty , Christine ! 👍👍 if she still alive , that will be 109 years old !
Una mujer muy hermosa y talentosa!!
Would love to see an interview with her . She’d of had some stooge stories for sure .
She deserved way more notice, but that’s Hollywood. Tough town. You are lucky to get anywhere at all.
Me, I am lucky to have seen her at all. That “How about a little...drink?” has more power than a dozen trashy skinflicks.
Women in the old days are much more beautiful than the women of today...They have more class and have natural beauty
