This is whats better about BF1. BFV didn't have these MASSIVE vehicles that turn the tides of the battle. These things just bring so much more intensity to the battle, and as soon as you hear the menacing horn, or the announcer saying "an enemy dreadnought is en route", you just cannot help but get chills. The way the horn from the airship echoes through the entire battlefield, and everything else turns silent.
Yeah, the largest sea vehicle in bfv is a freaking landing craft. And the only other sea craft is a wooden boat (in a game about World War 2). Just makes me wanna laugh.
It really depends what kind of behemoth comes up. Here is a list of my reactions: Zeppelin airship: Okay, not too bad, imma just hop in this here AA gun. Super Heavy Tank: This is getting interesting. Armored Train: We are kinda fucked Dreadnought: TAKE COVER
Imagine you’re fighting in dense fog unable to see the enemy you take on fire from the enemy for a bit finally everything goes quiet then you hear the dreadnought foghorn in distance... the utter terror I’m sure they had
It always annoyed me when I would spawn on the rear turret but couldn't shoot at anything because no one knew to position the ship parallel to the coast so you could fire a full broadside.
I know I’m late but it’s called an ‘engine order telegraph’ they’re used to send messages to engine rooms to determine the speed of the ship. You can see a few in use in the 1997 Titanic film in the ice berg collision scene. Should be easy enough to find on RUclips

played some bf1 lately and there is one position where the Class L is literally umdefeatable as long as you have 1 non-braindead ally in your ship. Went 59-0 in one conquest game

Nothing beats looking at the dense fog and hearing this siren from the distance
There is nothing more terrifying then a dreadnought in the fog
Cool clip, but speaking from experience you want to position the ship so it can fire all the guns at the enemy.

I recommend everyone who still has access to BF1 to at least try to play a couple of minutes with the HUD turned off. It's eye-opening.
