Definitely could have been a more popular playstyle if there was any incentive to do so. Looking at the parking lot bounty but just having higher difficulty can go the extra mile as well.
I remember in the second Rais Outpost You can also be stealth to some point.
I remember even hearing a line from one of Rais's men "Let's go on vacations to Haran they said, it will be grat they said".
Yeah you can stealth up until a certain point where they spawn already aggro'd on you.
If you're sneaky enough, any game can be stealth

Nice work! Its definitely doable but the ai makes it near impossible at times, you can always do this using the help of grenades and shields though
AI when it comes to detection is quite fucked in this game sometimes lol.
@@AussieGG I'm bad at night hunter.... gonna look at your channel to see how pounce works. Also I suck horribly at using tackling. Then on the other side other the coin when I'm a human I get pounced 24/7. Pretty discouraging. Yeah I'm using flares and uv but I still get pounced.

Yeah, you need camoflage tho or the normal zombie will always find you in certain distance 😂

The office outpost and radio station outpost are so much fun, I wish they would've added more outposts onto the map and let you reset them once you clear them all without having to do a new game plus.
I miss the quick neck snap execution. I hope they implemented something quick like this in the brutality update
DL2 has cut finishers moves and some of which have been datamined by modders. There is one really cool animation where Aiden kicks the enemy on the calf and snaps his neck.

I just came back to dying light after several years and I’ve just started a full stealth run with just a bow and machete and I’m having so much fun. Sometimes taking a different approach than just speed run and gun can be so refreshing.

You know even if stealth in this game is half baked it kinda fits with the theme off the entire game cause theres so many things you can do that the devs nor like 99% off the people who played this game thought it be possible this game really is a lighting in a bottle
The sandbox for combat and parkour is amazing, allowing a lot of creativity with playstyles and how players want to achieve their goals.

I honestly go stealth whenever i have the option to. I like stealthing through missions in games more than going guns blazing honestly, i don't know if thats a hot take or not.
So if this game had the same budget as your average Ubisoft game (not saying that low budget = bad game) would Techland put bandit outposts, bases, garrisons and fortresses in the game for you to liberate? We could have it so some of these locations have hostages and if you're able to keep all them alive as go around killing all of the bandits you can get extra rewards from them. Well that or they would become guards, making it harder for the bandits to reclaim what you took from them. I don't think that an alarm would make sence though. Alarms would atract zombies and even if the alarm was made by having the commander issue an order over to all patroling enemies in the district via radio to help them deal with the trespasser (aka you the player) it would be really difficult if not imposible for the renforcements to reach the area in order to help out the guards.
In the office outpost i had a soldier see me and jumped to the top of the elevator as he walked in, he was clueless and saying "i swear i saw something" before I cleared the outpost
Aussie is better at Stealth in DL1 than he is in Hitman.
Now we need Jade to say "Good Job ,31" when Crane succesfully Stealths something. Just like diana did to 47
the moment i discovered you could stealth this outpost i always do it it's so satisfying
YAY, I'm not the only one who've tried to capture outposts by stealth!!!
The only thing is, that I was using mostly a neck snap skill and silenced deagle for emergency situations or in places, where I just can't get behind.
Since DL1 supporting has ended, I wish DL2 will have a Stealth Update. I know that this game has it, but let's be real - it's terrible. I got behind an enemy, cutting his neck with a knife and guess what? HE SURVIVED THAT. And all because he's higher level than me, what the hell... I hate RPG system bro.
But what I'd like to see, is Insta-Kill while in stealth mode, some basic corpse grabbing like in Dishonored or Far Cry And double takedown with a knife. And maybe, a Throwing Weapons skill(not throwables)
I like Stealth a lot, but it's sad, seeing how bad it is in DL2.

I probably would have tried this if I didn't run into these places for the first time on *Nightmare.* Didn't even know what was inside, just went in thinking I'd be fine.
I lived, barely, but still.
This being the only possible stealth outpost makes me always stealth it to prove a point. PS looking forward to those vids where you recorded clips in the old town hotel recently! #GimmeMoreAussieVids

i remember using the mines from the the following for some of these stealth encounters, definetly unpractical but made for some cool stealth kills lol
The stealth might arguably be better in 1 and not having to hear the comically bad renegade voice lines is a plus
This is the only place in the entire game you could do stealth. Idk about you but I cannot count cod as a parkour game cuz there is mantling

I've just started DL and it's a pretty good game. But I hate the combat (especially against humans). Gotta love when I use up my wrenches entire durability on one guy who's on the floor after I literally drop kicked him and he'll still get up and fight me just fine
Human combat is without a doubt the worst part of this game.

it could make sense if the game had a better stealth, we are talking about monsters hyperreactive to the sound and during the night its pretty much stealth time unless you're a madlad or have +1000 hours in to the game.

With my old ass laptop running this at 20 fps, and some odd mouse acceleration like delay, that double takeout in the first 2 bow shots had me flabbergasted.
In the rescue Zera mission, I managed to kill like 3-4 without being found out. Until some unfortunate incident regarding a gas cylinder that alerted them. I think I wanted to kill one that was positioned right for lobbing things, so I wanted to chuck one about to explode at him.
I remember in my first playthrough I tried to do stealth and almost got away with it if it wasn't from that one guy who spotted me and started blasting

Nah, this was just a clickbaity title for views tbh. A lot of people seem to not know of this feature when they showed off the stealth in DL2, despite being able to do the same in DL1.
Outpost in radiostation still awaits for stealthy approach. :)
Yeah but they spawn aggro on you halfway through, it's annoying how you can't fully complete it stealthily.
I always used to play this game with stealth to make the gameplay more interesting, but Dying light 2 is really not fun to play stealth especially when they don't even die from stomping them in the head.
I think the kicker is how quick the takedowns can be in DL1, whereas the takedowns in DL2 are so slow.

Until there's an option to reset those outposts, I am not willing to restart my entire save in DL2 just for that.
@@AussieGG Fair enough. I suppose turning off steam cloud sync, backing up your save data in an external folder and then replacing the local game save data with the older one kept in the external folder should still work though. It is ironic how much they have taken from Far Cry series and then decided not to include the option to reset the outposts lol
@@awdsgrgde6979 The problem with that is that I gotta go through the whole game just to reach Central Loop to do the bandit camps. For this video, all I had to do was revert to a story point sometime after The Saviours and the outposts respawned. The setup took mere minutes here.

You can break out of bounds to go to downtown and do all safe houses at the start of game

Steel tubing is found exclusively in The Following.

It's the Rais outpost side quests. This one specifically is the Office Outpost.
it actually had some decent stealth, atleast alot better than in dying light 2, so much wasted potential, especially concerning the subways.

What mission even is this? I finished both the DLC and the main game, don't remember it.
The first one is the Rais Office Outpost, the side quest you get from Savvy.
EDIT: The second quest is the very first main quest in The Following where you need to retrieve your buggy.

This was done on Story Mode. I don't believe AI intelligence is affected by difficulty tho.
