It didn't look like a malfunction, just empty mag and slide locked back. If this is the case, then she wasted time racking the slide when she could have been reaching for the fresh mag and then racking the slide on it. Edit: I looked again, and she did have to eject a round; good job.
Being able to feel malfunctions or slide lock based on recoil impulse is super important. There's no way you're looking at your gun with enought mental capacity to see a malfunction in the heat of the moment, but with thousands of rounds fired, you develop the muscle memory to feel the slide position. She obviously knows what she's doing. Watching some security footage or body cam footage of shootings will show how many officers have no idea there gun is empty.
Mojo and Lucas are a great example of how people should do what works for them. they do things different at times but have clearly both trained to achieve a high level or performace.

I really liked that Amy pointed out that just because you may be around some people who shoot a lot and may be quite a bit better than yourself, does not mean you should start trying to outrun your headlights by going faster than your capabilities allow. Find your 80% and start working from there to push your limits and get better . 01 second at a time haha
As a lefthanded its really so rare to see someone in the lawenformenct to be lefthanded or in the shooting videos. :D Its was such a good feeling to be honest.. but even tho im pro gun, its so bad that I live in Hungary and that we will never ever will have this kinda freedom in firing rnages that you guys have in the USA. AND someone who supports the 2A and gun training... it was AWESOME to see the dude at the end, Ryan, talk about wanting to change perceptions and work at training to raise the standards for integrity. What I like most about this one take is all the discussion, explanation, and anecdotes from all these different shooters. Some things are basic, common knowledge for their skill levels but it’s still nice to hear them go through that thought process on it. Let’s face it, Texas isn’t as great of a “pro gun” state as some others, arizona and nevada being two of them. Perhaps if like 95% of the land here wasn’t privately owned, it’ll be a different story.

A guy I work with has went through three different pistols since I've known him because every single one was "a piece of shit" that apparently "the sights are garbage" on because he shoots low/left lol. I gave up on trying to help that fucker 2 guns ago lol hes a douuuuuuche bag. I try to be nice and cool to the guy since we work together, and hes always bringing up guns/gear he wants and hes the only guy to talk to about the stuff i like while at work for 10 hours... But he's a git.. a straight up Tosser. Hard to listen to sometimes, always just excuses and upgrades hes gonna get . Lol

Kainoa Kaku - you can train in Hawaii too. Are you Big Island Hawaii or another island. I am Oahu and there are spots on the North Shore you can train. For Big Island there are spots in Pohoa you can train. I have no idea about Maui, Molokai, or Kaui,
@@bertlord On private land sure, those are few and far between. We don't have the freedom to just drive out to the desert and shoot which is the point I was making. There's no public land, especially on Oahu where you can just go plinking or get in a quick training session.
Before I became a dance instructor in the 80s I would look at others and say man I'll never be able to do that... Then I became saught after instructor with hard work and consistency. Now that I have given my life to Christ in looking at t-rex and feeling some of those same feelings whell up especially on the range and all the frustration that brings but I'm trying. Being a protector of my home and family would be enough to train and train hard but add in being a protector in my church gives me several hundred more reasons to become the best I can absolutely be at hitting the target. I just found this channel maybe a week or so ago and I don’t know if this kid has any military experience or real life firefights under his belt but I’d fucking take him over 80% of the dudes I did the job with when it counted and our lives were on the line.
Hes just a civilian. In my experience most police officers simply don't shoot enough. They shoot just enough to pass their qualifications. I mean literally like 80% of rounds fired by police officers in the line of duty do not hit their intended target... Really that's pretty fucking pathetic
Training is applicable for anyone with a sound mind, people of any age. You can't move like they can but you can become significantly more proficient just being more familiar with having fired more at the range and also handling the weapon more often and for longer periods. Its all about familiarity and dexterity with the weapon, the more you do it the better you are
I really do love what you guys do at trex arms, unfortunately I’m based in the Uk where we don’t have all this gear and firearms but I can imagine every shot is exiting as the last.
It’s making me laugh (in a good way) when I ear that « you don’t train guys enough » 🤣 in France, police agent or MP have 30 to 90 rounds per year with handgun of « administrative shooting » and 20 to 60 rounds to train with the riffle
Tu Lam has a couple videos which teaches the same concept as the 2nd stage you were shooting at. Drive the gun, 180•, shots downrange, target acquisition, drive the gun, peripheral vision, move the hips and upper body. Good stuff from both of you guys! It’s helped me a lot with my shooting and shooting discipline. These are some good drills I plan on using ! Thank you

In my experience most police officers simply don't shoot enough. They shoot just enough to pass their qualifications.
I mean literally like 80% of rounds fired by police officers in the line of duty do not hit their intended target...

Training is applicable for anyone with a sound mind, people of any age. You can't move like they can but you can become significantly more proficient just being more familiar with having fired more at the range and also handling the weapon more often and for longer periods. Its all about familiarity and dexterity with the weapon, the more you do it the better you are
I really do love what you guys do at trex arms, unfortunately I’m based in the Uk where we don’t have all this gear and firearms but I can imagine every shot is exiting as the last.

It’s making me laugh (in a good way) when I ear that « you don’t train guys enough » 🤣 in France, police agent or MP have 30 to 90 rounds per year with handgun of « administrative shooting » and 20 to 60 rounds to train with the riffle

Tu Lam has a couple videos which teaches the same concept as the 2nd stage you were shooting at. Drive the gun, 180•, shots downrange, target acquisition, drive the gun, peripheral vision, move the hips and upper body. Good stuff from both of you guys! It’s helped me a lot with my shooting and shooting discipline. These are some good drills I plan on using ! Thank you
