I love how despite how Scarecrow is handled in this game.
Throughout the game, he is talking about how he’s doing all of this as revenge against Batman for the part. He played in scarring him back at the asylum, but it’s clear that’s not the real reason. If he was mad about his face, he would be killer croc.
No, he’s trying to break Batman to just a man… Because Batman is the one thing scarecrow is afraid of. he thought reducing just a guy in a suit would let him overcome the one thing he feared while getting revenge on Batman for forwarding all of his plans. But no, he couldn’t break what Batman represents
Scarecrow was trying to kill the "Bat" part of Batman, reducing him to just a man. Instead he ended up killing the man, leaving only the Bat, now free of the weaknesses and fears that came with having things like friends and family.
Honestly, even if you don’t want to collect all the trophies, I would recommend watching the cut scene that plays after you beat him. Not only does it expand the story… but she gets to see Catwoman interact with Batman again.
36:20 in the comics tied to the game, Jason escaped the asylum during the events of the first game aided by deathstroke.

The idea of the knightfall ending is that Batman faked his death and continued as Batman using Cranes formula to use fear against criminals.

Yeah, sorry but no... That is NOT the definitive idea. And thinking Batman/Bruce uses freaking chemical weapons against criminals is just so fu**ed to me. Using shit from Crane and inflicting terror and panic on people??? Nope. The games ending is a metaphor for Batmans legacy living on.

I think it's, sorry, equally stupid to think Batman is now into chemical warfare. I mean...... What the actual f***? And "SS: KTJL" even gave this horrendous idea a platform and just decided: "Yup... You gotta take the final scene literal.", and therefore shredded this great ending to pieces... IF you deem "SS: KTJL" canon. Which I'm not doing. Shitty game. Shitty everything. And btw... Why on earth wouldn't they show Alfred or Bruce or anything one last time after the explosion? No reason NOT to show Batman using fear gas or showing him equipping this stuff or manufacturing that stuff in the batcave... Or ANYTHING. Why would they include an ending like this, if the only interpretation of it ends up being the most bland and purposeless and boring one? Apart from the fact that, as I already stated, imagining he is now into chemical warfare and uses freaking fear toxin and spreading terror among the population... Na-ah, man.

1:17:23 I love this part. Not only is it super cathartic that you finally get to beat up the joker in this moment, but neither Batman nor the joker have a health bar so joker physically can’t beat you and you as Batman can beat up the Joker for as long as you want
This really symbolizes how Batman is seen by the criminals: this unstoppable force that can’t be overcome, no matter how hard they fight
It brings me great pride to hear "There are no Arkham Games after this." come out of his mouth.

Great content. A theory I have and others share is that the Joker Batman sees is just caused by the fear toxin. Batman never shows the signs that the other Jokers have even though he’s had it the longest, Joker only appeared after getting gassed by fear toxin, and his eye color is the same color from fear toxin. Plus he got cured from the Joker blood in Arkham City. It makes sense that Batman sees Joker because that’s his worst fear becoming evil and he knows he’ll be unstoppable
Actually Batman only took half the cure because he was planning to give Joker the other half (since Freeze destoryed the other vile ment for Joker). Since it wasn't a full dose of the medication and the blood poison mutated into a new disease that they didn't account for he wasn't cured, he just happened to push back the affects for longer which is why the other Joker infected people had already changed but he hadn't started to until the start of Arkham Knight (though a VR game does suggest he was having hallucinations and nightmares of Joker even before Arkham Knight started).
Basically the fear gas weakened Batmans mental state which allowed the mutation to slowly take over. It's only by letting the gas consume him and beating his fears that he was mentally capable of fighting back the mutation (just like he did with the titan formula before taking the antidote). Also the fear gas affected Jokers mind too and weakened him so ironically the thing that almost pushed Batman over the edge is also what saved him.

@@userious258 There was no more cure. It was destroyed and was the only vial. And Batman WAS mutating, you can clearly see green veins on his face and his eyes turning green
I actually heard a theory that because of jokers titan blood, and batmans cured titan blood, the fear toxin activates the titan and thats why his eyes are green.
Yep, it’s truly tragic that this is the last Arkham game… unless you have a meta quest three.

You know, maybe I just am not cutthroat enough to be a news reporter, but personally if I was the news broadcast, I don’t care if the unmasking of Batman is the story of the century canceling the broadcast right then and there out of respect for the man who literally just saved the eastern seaboard of America just a few hours ago!

Batman started to use scarecrows gas, he hints to hit when you defeat riddler. PLEASE watch the video on defeating riddler, there is a Catwomen cutscene you have to see. He started using the gas because beating criminals to a pulp only worked until they got out of the hospital and back on the streets, the gas would be a permanent state of fear. ALSO, the ring text to Jordan was Tim Drake (Robin) proposing to Barbra Gordon.

This was an absolutely fantastic end to the Arkhamverse. Glad there's no shitty looter shooters or VR experiences made that retroactively devalued this.

If you go back and play asylum you’ll find a bunch of cool Easter eggs about Jason Todd in the medical facility. On the vr version there’s a room where Jason was kept, that room is the sanctuary that’s the same room where you rescue the doctored at the start of the game. Then also running through the lower curridor you see the wheelchair Jason was tortured on. Finally, the one I find most interesting you can see the abandoned wing he was tortured in just before you fight bane and joker makes a reference about needing a new side kick as you go pass it. Very cool details
I heard a very interesting theory about this game;
Throughout the whole game, Joker is attempting to take over Bruce Wayne’s mind, and eventually succeeds. But Bruce Wayne and Batman are almost two entirely different people. They are the same man, yes, but they are separate identities. Bruce Wayne is a millionaire playboy, Batman is a ruthless vigilante.
When scarecrow injects Bruce-who is now the Joker-with the toxin, it summons the only unchanged consciousness left in their mind; Batman. He locks the Joker away, and subsequently, Bruce.
Now, there is no Joker. There is no Bruce. There is only Batman. What does this mean for Gotham? Bruce Wayne would not use scarecrow’s toxin. Bruce Wayne would not sacrifice the life of another. Bruce Wayne would not kill.
But would the Batman?

Btw they making a new Arkham game but its a vr game and you can literally play like how it does in Arkham Knight, like you can do predator mode and actually fight criminals and glide and zip-line buildings and use bat gadgets during combat hopefully it will be almost as good as a Arkham game can be!!!!
I grew up playing the games in the arkham series. In fact I still play them now today lol. But I swear the Batman Arkham Series is the best video game series of all time
I liked the story to Arkham City better but this game was a work of art. I admit that I actually boycotted playing it because I saw let's play videos from when it came out and felt like they overdid it with the Batmobile but the story and combat were actually worth it in the end. I wish I could say the same about Suicide Squad but sadly Rocksteady bought into the whole pay to play racket. They should've done a Batman Beyond single player game IMO.

It’s set in the Arkham verse, but almost a nightmare because of what transpires.
Apparently, Batman: Arkham Shadow is going to be really good, and from every source I've heard, it's worthy of the Arkhamverse title, even if it's a VR game. I won't be able to play it for a while, not until I get a VR headset, but I'm confident enough that it'll be good that I'm saving up for one, and I won't be watching any playthroughs of it

You should play Batman Arkham Shadow when it releases next month. It is a Meta Quest 3 VR game but the story and gameplay look very good.
In Arkham Asylum you can see a knocked over Wheelchair its Jasons (he was tied to it) and the wheel is spinning meaning they moved him just before batman got there, Theres also a cell that Jason was locked in it has drawing of batman, bats, Joker and Redhood, and a log book for patients that were administered there which you can see J.Todd or Jason.T (cant remember which one) listed and in the Batman vr game You hear Jason screaming for help as hes getting tortured by the inmates
I was there at the begenning, now i get to see how it ends. Just to let you know we all loved this playthrough, and also if ou finish the game at 240%, you'll get a special batsuit and a trophy. Thank you for all of it

as someone who 100%'d this game when it came out on ps4, the riddler challenge was not nearly as time consuming as arkham city, but still it was an absurd amount 😂😂
