Early development
In 2015, after Total War: Warhammer was announced but before it released, Creative Assembly announced that they planned to create a trilogy of Total War: Warhammer games.[1]
In 2016, Russian data-miners discovered plans in the Total War: Warhammer game files for a third game featuring Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch and Slaanesh as factions.

Total War: Warhammer is part of Creative Assembly's grand strategy Total War series. Set in the grim, high fantasy world of Warhammer Fantasy, Total War: Warhammer pits many unique races in a struggle for domination of the Old World. Soldiers clash with magic and monsters, as factions are locked in battle. But beyond this conflict lurks a larger threat: The forces of Chaos descend from the north to bring ruin and destruction, at the behest of their dark gods.
Total War: Warhammer II takes the battle to the New World across the sea, where new races fight to enact rituals and control the Great Vortex. Total War: Warhammer II is a standalone game, fully playable on its own. However, players who own the first game or DLC will find that it carries over and can be combined with the second game, for one epic experience in campaign and multiplayer among us.

Gotrek & Felix is a 100K Subscriberr Special New Series for this channel. Always will be faithful to the originals but for some parts, it'll be twisted

To be fair, the material for the poem is simply outstanding. The guy is preparing to write a legend.
There's also the issue of him scoring a massive grudge, that would be an issue even at the best of times against a random nobody dwarf.
But that's Gotrek, a dwarf who could probably beat the snot out of anything and anyone short of a god.

Yea but I decided to change that part to just fainted them cuz it makes absolutely no sense that Gotrek and Felix can roam the Empire freely after killing Reiksguards

@@GotrekGurnisson I mean, witch hunters and soldiers have usually better things to do than hunt human protestors. They arent even mutants, just no urgency to track down a vagabond and a dwarf when there is *yearly* raiding from Norsca, Greenskins, Beastmen and Chaos cults are literally everywhere.
One of the ongoing jokes in those books is how Felix is deathly terrified of being arrested, even after the 20 year old gap where they gallavanted across the East. Then it never happens, because nobody freakin cares or even remembers besides him. Not to mention they save the Empire a number of times, kinda makes up for killing a couple knights.
@@Tarriffit’s pretty much explained this way.
1. They made it for the forests, hence the adventures in Drakwald and other backwaters where Reiksguard couldn’t catch them.
2. They made it out of the Empire to Karaz a Karak and by the time they got back Karl had other problems to worry about.
3. They still played it safe and went to provinces like Nuln who are technically under different jurisdiction. Countess Emmanuel herself have said that while she is grateful, she can’t reward men wanted by the emperor, but does not have to arrest them either.
So they left Nuln and after that they ended up in Middenheim before going to Chaos waste and Kislev, and good luck getting Middenheim arrest anyone for Karl.
Then they dissapeared in Sylvania to Albion for a year. What’s already 7 years of wars Fog Riots and shenanigans with Vampires in Ulrika’s trilogy

The fact that felix survived being trampled by like 60 heavy cavalry means he's just built different.
Nah, thats just how single entities are always knocked down, but take 0 fall damage from it. As soon as the reiksguard dismounted, Felix took a massive beating and got wounded.

Some Skaven probably could though.
The IRS comes to claim assets, and finds piles of rotten corn, a half chewed skavenslave, a few toxic stone chips, and a plank of rotten wood. They take some of these, and when the Skaven returns home, he's so pleased to have his burrow cleaned, he, without warning, covers them in the musk of gratitude.
They put the skaven in prison, and realize the skaven in question is acting like they're being treated like nobility.
They put a lean on the Skaven's future earnings, then promptly stop when partial cadavers of skavenslaves and more rotten corn gets delivered to their office.
After three grueling months of IRS activity, the case against the Skaven is quietly dropped.
Because the Altdorf IRS has more Heads than any Hydra
Finally, a proper warhammer Adaptation we always wanted and needed.
Worst things is... that even though its a joke, its better than most of Adaptations we got...

Gotrek, Felix and Thanquol are the 3 best characters in all of Warhammer. Specially Thanquol, yes-yes.
King and Nathan Long is good. Starting from the begining is the best, although the first novel is actually a series of short stories and Gotrex hasn't been memed yet. He can be "beaten" and lost his eye to goblin riders.
Small bits and pieces exist afaik about their 'origin story', but there is never a detailed explanation. Much like Gotrek's whole backstory is a little bit here and there across all of the books.
The IRS seems to be a good final boss, for them.
Not even Skarsnik would mess with the IRS! Can only wish the best for Gotrek and Felix.

I mean, the only reason Skarsnik is not 100% guilty of tax evasion is that he's not an empire citizen.
He wouldn't fight the IRS, but he'd definitely weasel his way out of paying his taxes. He'd attach ladders to his windows and just claim its all doors.

The window tax riots were written before they knew what they wanted to do with Karl Franz. I think it was one of the first pieces of lore about him, made even earlier than his backstory
Window Tax Riots was written back in 1999, back when Warhammer was known as Hero hammer, as 4th edition heroes and wizards were game winners.
Contrary to what others wrote, the lore for Karl Franz HAS been written.... But he wasn't as good as he is now. One of the storylines involved recovering the real Ghal Maraz to help maintain unity in the Empire. In that plotline, heavy taxes and the riots it prompt was a Chaos plot to help stir up unrest in Middenheim (4th edition will reuse this plotline )
I pretty sure Black Fire Pass and Count of Averland death has been written, although Franz being a temporary avatar of Sigmar was probably not.
it also depends on when King WROTE/based his lore from, because Bretonnia at this point was exiting the Fat French Kings corrupt era and becoming true chivalric Knights of King Louis..
