Hip Dislocation or Dislocated Hip can be defined as a disruption in which the head of the thighbone or femur forced out of its socket or cup-shaped acetabulum of the pelvis. The symptoms of hip dislocation typically include pain and an inability move the hip. This hip dislocation injury most commonly occurs during an automobile collision, high-impact fall, athletics or workplace injury, especially those that also result in a broken pelvis or leg.

my hip got dislocated because of sporting incident, I fall sideway on my hip causing it to dislocate. I hear the 'pop' or shift in my hip, I can't stand afterwards since it was too painful and the dislocation really limits my movement. went immediately to a hospital, where doctor gave me anesthesia and did a hip reduction (pull the dislocated into the socket).
day 1-3 after hip reduction, I'm just lying on bed.
day 4-6 I'm allowed to sit down on the side of the bed, allowed to shift left and right a little while I'm lying on the bed.
day 7-12 I went home, use crutches to help me walk. doctor said I shouldn't use or put weight on my dislocated side (right leg). and on day 12 I'm still struggling to do the leg raise exercise... doctor told me to do my best but not forcing the exercise. but little by little, I train my hip muscle slowly and it gets stronger by the day.
never seek to get your hip reduction treatment without mri or xray scan.. it increase the risk of you not walking properly and might damage your nerve. ALWAYS xray before treatment

I partially dislocated my hip and I was in really bad pain but never went to the doctor because I know my body heals fast and I didn't think I would need anything fixed. I feel much less pain after a week when I started doing these excerisses. At first I could bearly move my leg without it extremely hurting but it's much better. It's better to try and start moving it around a little bit instead of just letting it rest for the whole 3 months. I would start of slow and do some streches and see how your hip is doing.
