Excellent work Larry. The musical score is very compelling. You are giving so much honor. May God bless your work to continue with abundant resources. I will be donating soon.
Thank you very much Matt for your kind words and support. God bless you!!
Right on Larry!
When I got home to The Family Farm, it was "Welcome Home, We're glad you're back safe" like I'd been on a pleasure trip. Nobody else said anything, other than "How're you doin?" from old friends. I was expected to pack it away like my uniform, and just "Get On With it" like nothing unusual had happened. I loaded up my Saddle and headed West, following the Rodeo and other jobs "Cowboying"and Chasing Racing Stables all over America. It took me 10+ years to settle down, even a little bit, but I made it so much easier than countless others. Cowboys and Westerners as a whole treated me a whole lot better than other parts of the country. I'll always be grateful for that, and The Horses were likely what saved my life. Here at Home on Daddy's Old Farm, I still have 9 Horses in my pasture. Any time Life and Living gets heavy, I wander out among them, with my Dogs, and all becomes Peaceful again. The Demons rarely come anymore, and maybe they are the reason they don't linger.
You sound like a martyr and victim. Why did you allow your Government to send you to a war it didn't have the guts and integrity to declare? Why didn't you take a stand and face the consequences of your bully Government when it was wrong? You didn't belong in Vietnam...period. You had a choice and you made it. I am a proud Vietnam/Draft resistor. No complaints of how the Government made you go. YOU went.
@@topgeardel You sound Full Of Shit, talking about stuff you Know Nothing About, from Decades Away, in a far different world that the one I was born into.
Don't Suppose you Know Dick About me, Or My Life.
And thank you Sir for making these video
Thank you Clinton. This is a labor of love.
Thank you for your service ❤
Thank you Kathleen. God bless!!
Thank you ALL for your service. god Bless !
Much appreciated!!
Very moving presentation. That first vet in particular hit me hard.
In the back of my mind, can’t help thinking what his mother would have done to that hippie chick if she had been there beside him.
Thank you Larry well done.
Thank You Veterans, I never knew how unfairly you were treated. I have always admired all Veterans.
I love freedom and am greatful for it.
Thank you Todd!!
Wow Larry! Excellent video that truly tells the story of many who served in Vietnam. Super Great Job 👏. I thoroughly enjoyed every comment from every Vietnam Veteran. Keep up the amazing work my Friend! 👏👍🤗🇺🇸🫡🙏
Hi Ray, many thanks for your kind words. I appreciate it greatly. My work has always been a labor of love. These stories must be told. Please feel free to share this video. I especially like the musical soundtrack which brings out the mood and emotion of these Veterans. God bless you my friend!!
Wonderful work you’re doing Mr. Cappetto.
Those young men sacrificed so much.
They were (are) the best of us.
“Lest they be forgotten”.
The Vietnam Vet have their own unique story. They deserved our respect, but that did not always occur. I believe most Americans appreciated these men and women back then, and prayed for them as I did in my youth. Unfortunately, the Good People of this country did not speak out against these creeps whose voice was allowed to drown out the majority. Let us never allow that to happen again!
To our Vietnam Vets, I say welcome home, and I say thank you so much for your service and representation of this country. You did us proud. God bless each and every one of you.
Always so appreciative of your comments Chet. This story was extra special. A labor of love my friend.
So much emotions... So much hurt... So much pain our Vietnam veterans have gone thru! So much given... So much sacrifice. If those protesting would have just did their protesting instead of verbally or physically abusing those "bravest of the brave" then it would of given these veterans maybe time to readjust into this crazy world. I've been discussed with it all since getting out of the Marine Corps in 1975. Welcome Home. I am proud of all those who were there! Thank you, so much Larry for such a caring video! Namaste. From a Vietnam Era Marine Corps veteran.
As always great stuff Larry.
Thank you Tom!!
Thank you for doing what I was not capable…able to do..❤❤❤
Thank you Pauline!! Curious if you are a filmmaker?
Fine job of editing. I think I’ve watched all of the full interviews of these men. Tear jerker for sure. Still Wondering what it was all about. For sure that is!! Kudos to you.
This is a great compilation of veteran testimonies regarding their homecoming experiences.
Thank you kindly Michael. God bless you!!
Awesome Larry, not even my own children or my wife have ever asked me about my service in Vietnam, and we were married before I joined, it was many years later, that any of my other family or friends asked me about my service, usually it was other Vietnam vets that we shared our experiences with. Thank you Larry, and God bless you !
Larry you are a national treasure!!!!! Thank You for everything that you do!!!
Blessings LJ. This work is a labor of love. Glad you found my channel. God bless you!!

Those who treated you badly were cowardly... thank you so for your service.
Yes, thank you Glenda!!
Well done Larry, thank so much for your support and work.
You are very welcome EJ!!
Welcome Home. I thank each and everyone of you. 🤗🤗🇺🇸🇺🇸⚓️⚓️♥️♥️
Thank you Linda!!
@VoicesofHistory you're welcome. I'm a military brat. So I know how rudely our Vietnam Veterans were treated.
Just my opinion…
The hate was from a communist segment of our society primarily from academia, a small percentage that attracted a lot of attention. The majority of Americans respected our veterans coming home. We feel outraged about how you fellows were treated.
We are proud of you
God Bless all of you.
Thank you William!!
A lot of the animosity on the West coast. Look where they are now👍🏻
"WE" ? Speak for yourself. You are right, it was a small segment of the American population. Maybe a fringe part of our political spectrum. Most Americans were exhausted from the 11 active years of that BS war. Veterans made that war possible...and made an American disaster a reality. I don't respect the veterans...I respect the brave men who avoided Vietnam and did not participate in it. I respect those who stood up to their bully Government when it was wrong. That's patriotism.
Thank you, Larry. You are a true friend to veterans.
Many thanks David.
Well done Larry
Thank you Donnie!!
I was drafted right after I graduated high school, then, US Army life, Mekong Delta Jan 1969 Vietnam war and back to the World, where the people AND OUR OWN GOVERNMENT shunned us, it added to PTSD. GOD BLESS ALL VETERANS that fought for freedoms of people. This is a great post,, THANK YOU Mr. cappetto
Ron I would love to have you tell me your story. Please reach out to me. EMAIL: lcappetto@icloud.com
@ofHistory,YES I WILL SEND YOU A EPISODE I HAD IN 1969 VIETNAM.when my own army was going to kill us

Thank you Mississippi!!
wow, this is wonderful Larry, thank you so much for such a great effort.....Paul in Florida
You're very welcome Paul. This project was on my heart for years. I finally was able to finish it. Feel free to share.
Came home in Aug 1969 after a year of combat with the 25th infantry division was wounded twice was a draftee my parents had a welcome home banner on the garage door a few days later some of my neighbors had a pot luck welcome home get together for me that was nice…after that everything changed everywhere I went to especially running into high school friends and told them that I just got home from nam they could care less treated me like crap remember going to a house party and a girl who I didn’t know who she was called me a baby killer…that’s when I realized not to mention anything ever again about being a Vietnam vet…now in my seventies I’m very proud of my service and especially the people I serve with…
That was evil to treat a vet like s-r. Because some ignorant people exist doesn’t mean we are all like that. I was like 21 and against the war but those types aren’t protesters they are haters. People like them are still against our way of life as Americans. They are despicable. Guys I was your age and went to school with you and I wasn’t aware of the level of stupidity. My friends were not like that. Everyone today needs to stand up for our country, not just for you guys, but for all the misinformation that is happening now. Good men fight because they are called by their country and some men fight because they have no choice. I am ashamed of those people. Let’s not let it happen again!
Thank you Jean!!
Wow keep them coming. Your work is amazing. Thank you for all your hard work and all you do. I have watched the videos and so often put these segments together in my minds eye. And wondering if you would do something like this someday and I will say that I am very glad you have. My warmest regards to you Larry 😇❤️🕊🎯
You are so welcome Alvin. This project was a long time in the making. Many tears shed producing these segments.
God bless you all and,and welcome home to you all.
Thank you all so much for your service.👊🏻🇺🇸
Thank you kindly!
Heart wrenching welcome home all that served fantastic job Larry
Many thanks Kenneth!!

HERO,S SHAME ON ALL WHO DOUBTED MISSTREATED OR DISSHONOURED THESE PEOPLE.
Very well done Larry. Most of my friends who were in Vietnam took their uniforms off before they got home. They talked about how terrible they were treated. God bless our veterans.
Thank you brother Ed. God bless you!!
I will never forget Heroes and Veterans 💜❤.
Thank you Kathleen!!
I came home like this. I was wounded in Vietnam, a few days later medivac to Camp Zama Japan. Later flew to Travis Air Force Base. Than flew to Fritzsimmons Army Hospital Denver Colorado.
A few months later a convalescent leave to go home.
Larry THANK YOU FOR YOUR WORK !
I think that a lot of Vets would have had a better time of coming home ,if it was a hero's welcome .
Larry is there any chance you could do a show showing the other side of this story ? Where the protesters of the time and how they feel today , good or bad ? Maybe it would help the Vets understand more . Communication seams to work. I just think it would help both sides of this issue.
Im a young Canadian who has followed this since I can remember. Thanks again and bless the troops.
Hey Don, I love your idea. Let’s talk about this some more. Please feel free to reach out to me. Here is my email address: lcappetto@icloud.com
This one really resonates. Thank you VoH. Salute 🫡
Thank you!!
All of you will always and forever be my HERO I thank you from the bottom of my heart thank-you for my freedom and thank-you for your courage and service love you all till the end of time.....
Beautiful comment. Thank you!!
A great video, sir. I can't help but think that a lot of what you see today in America is a by-product of the pansies that treated the vets this way when they came home. I am one that thinks we still need the draft so these little boys running around that can't figure out if they are men will have the opportunity to grow up and grow some. Thanks for all that you do.
Amen to that brother. Well said. I agree with everything you wrote and more. God bless you!!
Welcome home
❤
Excellent film but so sad to think the vets were mistreated.
Thanks to all of our veterans for fighting for our country… our freedoms and our way of life. And thanks, Larry, for bringing their stories to us.
God bless you!!
My Father is a Vietnam veteran he was with the 173 D company, He took the treatment of himself and his buddy's to heart, it made him mean, so thanks to the civilian peaces of shit from that time that finished killing our fathers, When they just survived Hell..doing what their country asked of them,I never met the smiling happy version of my dad.. Regardless I served as a Navy corpsman in both Iraq and Afghanistan..and my dad greeted me home with a hug and a cold"Welcome home son"...
This young man whom I was crazy about at the time he was home on leave , he was told not to wear his uniform ? He showed up with his army shirt on over his white TShrit his army shirt had his name displayed, and his rank and &unit ,
His patches on his shoulders he was driving his Harley ,he dove up to my house I WAS out SIDE WAITING FOR HIM HE STOPPED &, I looked at him what a hamsome man . And I said Charlie ! What are you doing all decked out in your army shirt ? ARE you looking for trouble ? & He winked at me and said , "Only if it finds me , hop on sweetie and lean into TO ME , and I sure did . I LOVE YOU CHARLIE MY BRAVE, honorable warrior ❤️
That sweet memory I hold of him happened over 55 years ago 🌹🇺🇸
Great comment Rita. Thank you for sharing your story. God bless you!!
Man that first guy that came on when he started crying about being spit on at the airport I cried too. That hurt my heart because, my Uncle Allen was in country in 1971 in Quang Tri Province 101st ABN
I am in touch with Steve Perrault, the first man in the story. He is a good man.
I’m literally watching his full video right now Larry!!!
The way that America has treated you all is the only shameful thing. The anti war protesters are the ones who brought shame , they were and still are the disgrace! Welcome home , and thank you all ! You all deserve all of our gratitude and thanks . I as an American want to say thank you and thank God for real Men ,and real Americans 🙏
Thank you for watching this video Clinton. One of my best works.
Thanks to Hanoi Jane Fonda, the media and the likes of John 'reporting for duty' Kerry, a big middle finger to those two. My older brother flew from Travis AFB, I believe it was, to Chicago O'Hara January '67 and I dont recall at 5a.m. any hippies there awake at that hour. Our dad being a WWII vet most likely would have mopped the floor with any protesters there when we all walked through the terminal to the car. Brothers plane was the last to land that morning at O'Hara because of the huge snow storm that had started about 4 am that morning. Brother Lee and dad got on the truck shortly after to run a load out, got 4 miles south of town and were snowbound. They walked home and the midwest was paralyzed two weeks with 3 foot of snow. Can remember Lee saying shoveling sand into sand bags in Nam at least it was warmer then shoveling snow here at home but he was and we was glad he made it.
What a story Butch. Thank you for watching and commenting. God bless you!!
B proud.
Even government turned their back on soldiers.
No help assistance encouragement or to get jobs.🙏🏼
Hateful hateful protesters.... And those horrible people lived a life of freedom.... 👎
All of it.
Unfortunately things have come full circle and the same would happen today with the same type of "people" .
I experienced the same thing coming home at SFO. I can't understand why it was a good idea to show these men shedding tears about being so horribly traumatized so long ago by our own generation. It shamed me when it happened. I did not speak of Vietnam for 27 years. I look at the people of my generation now and wonder where they were during the war. Were they protesting and spitting on the men and women returning from a far away country where their lives were always on the line or were they just quiet veterans? I blame the media, the politicians and the greatest generation for not intervening or standing up for their sons and daughters when they needed it most. This was a very, very sad interview.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I would be interested in speaking with you about what you share here. Feel free to contact me: Larry Cappetto. EMAIL: lcappetto@icloud.com
A National Disgrace-This is so sad. This is NOT taught in schools. I don't think college kids have any idea of the sacrifices of these men. So sad
I agree Steve. Thanks for watching and commenting.
A few yrs back seemed everyone wanted to thank me for my service. To the point it got sickening to me. I asked some of them where the Hell they were at and what were they saying in 1969 , most of them shut up quickly and dropped their heads walked away. All of a sudden it was popular to thank a vet, I wanted to puke!...Be real will me or be gone
Thank you Ben for your comment.
Thank you for your honorable service to our country and the sacrifice you gave. May God Bless you and yours 🇺🇸 🌹I'm so sorry for the way all of our young warriors were treated during that period of time 💔
Vert sobering..
Thank you Roger!!
Yeah, most of the hippie chicks I've met were narcissist.
And now they wave 'Palestinian Flags' !
Just like the democrats today.
You can say that again Robert.
Such incredible BS. I am a proud Vietnam/Draft resistor. Let's get this pathetic nonsense of how the troops were treated in the right perspective. Vietnam was an American disgrace and tragedy. The US did not even have the guts and integrity to declare a war it sent 60000 Americans to die in. The US did not belong in Vietnam, it was not our fight. Every one of those guys you Boo Hoo about were invaders and aggressors in someone else's country that did nothing to Americans or the US. It was an Asian civil war for independence after a long era of colonialism.
A LOT of BAD things were committed at the hands of Americans. All you have to do is listen carefully to these veteran videos to get that. Massacres were committed. US servicemen even murdered their own COs to avoid orders given. Civilian casualties and collateral damage were terribly high. You can't really blame the North Vietnamese for declaring American pilots as "war criminals". These guys came home and expected hearts and flowers. THE ONLY things these veterans should have cared about is that they didn't return home in a box and dodged a bullet from the people they wrongly went to kill. That's the only thing they should have cared about. Their constant self-declared martyrdom is sickening. They made that American tragedy a reality. They could have avoided being part of that American disgrace....just like I and thousands did.
They are not heroes, nor someone's victim....they are nothing more than survivors of an American disgrace they willingly allowed themselves to be sent to.
Came back CONUS via Hospital plane C-141 Starlifter. Top rack, 4 high, both sides of plane. MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR serious,ie'amputees, burns, head wounds bottom racks.major major serious 2nd racks. Major serious 3rd racks. Serious top racks. Never knew what day or time i re entered United States,or the air base we landed at. At a guess there was over a 100 patients on that plane. Did arrive final destination to valley forge army hosp. Pa. Never got to experience the hippies, protests, spittle bugs and the like. to all my 11Bravo brothers 🇺🇸🫡🙏🕊️peace
