Just want to say, I’ve been painting with you 9 years and have been painting from my own photos for the last few years. Just got the courage to take some paintings to a local art gallery and sold 3 paintings that were inspired, not copied by a previous acrylic April. So now I’ve entered 2 paintings for an upcoming art contest and waiting to see if I’m accepted, but by their attitude toward me, I think I’m in. Don’t expect to win anything and will price my two paintings high, $200 each, because I’m ambivalent whether I really want to part with them. My advice to those following you, even if they don’t do the exact painting you show, watch, they will learn. Also EVERY painting has an ugly stage so press on, and some of the paintings you hate someone else will love. In that “tiny paintings” at the art gallery show my least favorite paintings were the three I sold. Thank you for how you have enriched my life.
I finished this last night, and of course I took my time. It took many hours but when you take it at your own pace it's fun. Thank you so very much Cinnamon! 🥰💜🖌
Good morning Cinnamon, Jon and everyone. I love this painting...I might paint it and then add a ghost for my daughter like they do to those pictures you find in thrift shops...I just don't have the heart to do that to somebody else's painting. But I don't mind doing it to one of mine that I painted....hope you don't mind Cinnamon ❤
@leannebraden8711 yeah it was a trend...if you look up ghost painting trend you could find a few. But like I said, I have too much respect for artists to buy a picture from a thrift store and paint over someone's painting.
Missed the live show today but watching now. QUESTION: PAINTING ON A WOOD PANEL, CAN I SEAL IT FIRST WITH ACRYLIC PAINT OR SHOULD I SEAL WITH ACRYLIC VARNISH BEFORE STARTING THE PAINTING?
I am for sure doing this one. The last was the colorful cat. I need to learn how to share the paintings with you. I am still learning all that. Love this door. FROM upstate NY.
I have that issue. I tend to rest my arm / hand on the canvas, and try to do the line quickly. You can also get what's called a " mahlstick " it's a stick with a soft end on it. artists use them to keep their hand out of the paint. helps you do lines and fine detail work without smudging paint. mainly used by oil painters because the paints take so long to dry. They can be used by anyone for any kind of work you need to steady your hand.
I did this one and the elephant too, but for some reason, my painting posts are not been approved in the the Acrylic April Challenge FB group. And I dont know why, cause I followed the tutorial and used acrylic. 😢
I can’t seem to find them in any of the art stores. I’m familiar with in Australia so my recommendation would be to use a Filbert brush where I’m using a d brush. I’ll also ask the brush dealer if there is any available vendor in Australia.

That’s a pretty cool idea. I’ve never seen one that someone painted a ghost in. 😮 Cool

DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTION FOR A PERSON WITH HAND SHAKES FOR PAINTING THESE LONGER LINES?

I am so sorry I am behind. I'm still in #4 . So much has happened this week. But I'm doing them all!!

WHAT TYPE OF PENCIL ARE YOU USEING? IM NOT YELLING 😂
Am I the only one who had a horrible outcome on this one? So discouraged
its okay to come back to a painting later and retry if you dont like it!
Mine didn't go so good either let's just keep going maybe the next one will be better
