Getting really close to beating a boss first try and then getting wreck for the 20th time is such fromsoft staple
I thought it was only me. Been experienced this for 13 years and first now I see a lot of people having the exact same experience.
@@McDudes Pretty much regardless of context, a beginner with no knowledge virtually always outperforms a beginner with a little bit of knowledge.
The first time, you're just reacting and doing things. Every subsequent time, you're preparing and planning for things. Bad plans are worse than no plans, though. So until you learn to recognize signs properly and build good plans, your beginner skill will be worse than your novice skill.
Oh yea, It happens at least once every five bosses to where they end up with 20% health then I go back and get it to half of im lucky
Thats what we're here for
Messmer had me like that. But i downloaded his moveset by the 70th run and beat him only healing once
1:23
Ina : "Ed...ward."
Me : Oh Nyooooo!
full metal alchemist reference for those who didnt get it.
Brought back all the traumas from that episode.
In Elden Ring context it would probably be "Ma-ri-ka..."
Noooo kuuuuu puffffff hahahaha 🤣 not the little girl nina and the dog alexander yabai 💀
I tend to forget things really fast (yes the power "blessed" by the gods) then Ina said that name so all the memory flood back to my brain AGAIN.
We need to give back our single braincell! The priestess needs it!
But sir... we have none...

Dancing Lalion has rolled so many Holomems you'd think it was Botan herself controlling it.
Wish Botan actually played it
There's two people in there, so Botan and another unspecified genmate.
The Dancing Lion boss is actually two dudes under the cloak, moving in unison to move the lion mask as if it's a single creature. Zullie the witch, a Souls game based content creator, made a video about it, removing the cloak from the boss' 3D model... and there literally are two dudes there. The devs did such a based thing of actually animating both of them moving in a perfect sync, like actual lion dancers, even though most of us won't be able to see it.
Zullie is fun when you want to see more of what the models are in souls games
When I saw the dudes underneath, I couldn’t stop thinking that they look like the sin MMD dudes.
im more suprised that people didnt know that, its basically just chiness barongsai(lion dance).
@@agusputraemassihombing6303Bang bang, kultur asia ga semua orang tau, bahkan sun wukong pun ga semua org tau siapa dia, biasanya org western sih
@@agusputraemassihombing6303 In a game with magic and mythical creatures, it's not unreasonable for people to believe it's an actual creature or at least some grafted monstrosity not just 2 dudes in a lion costume.
The scariest thing about these 2 dudes in a fursuit is how hard it fucks with your camera
Roll backwards diagonally for all of the bosses that mess with the camera. From usually despies backwards rolling but they went all in on it this time lol.
She must have gotten divine punishment for making that FMA reference
3:38 "The camera is the real boss here." The wisdom of the priestess speaks truth, again.
Botan : Oh, a new toy to play
Ina is a Oshi of Focus, Commitment, and sheer fucking Will.
Ina truly laughs through the pain. Blessed with Ina giggles when we know it's NinOver
A twenty minutes long vaan video, praise the priestess for blessing us with ancient ones miracle
Well it's subtitleless clip so... Nah
I always love these sorts of boss fight summaries, as I don't often have time to watch the whole stream these days - thanks for the hard work!
oh hey, you can jump over breath, now i know
Yeah, learned that on my 21st attempt. Basically over after that, it was the only thing that screwed me over.
Astounding editing. Like actually superb.
Vaan : check this out!! 20+ minutes clip!!
Me : that's great!! What did it cost??
Vaan : No more subtitle!!
Me : 🥲
And then you have Ame playing the DLC, refusing to use summons most of the time, flask at only +8, and dooting her way to victory.
....remind me, how did she finally beat Dancing Lion and Rellana? Same as Ina, with spirit ashes. Nothing wrong with that, it's just using game mechanics, that's what they're there for, but your comment is misleading. Ina also plays without summons 99% of the time.
IRyS and Biboo are the ones 100% no summons. Biboo has her jaming pride, and IRyS stubbornly refuses because then twitter's gonna be mean to her :p (But she's doing great)
@@dnlkr I meant no disrespect to Ina! And I think if the game offers you mechanics, you should take them, no "it's cheating" bullshit. If it was cheating, it wouldn't be presented as an option! :) I'm just jesting about how Ame takes the most out of meta and peculiar fighting style/weapons/skills, and still somehow manages to progress through the game without taking any longer than "usual" on bosses. And iirc with Rellana she did not use a summon, just the doot haha
@@marcelabotelho1065 its never been about cheating its about not choosing the easy way out. souls games are games where the difficulty option is u choosing how many game mechanics u want to utilize to win. I just personally find people persevering and learning more interesting than playing less interactively. the journey is simply more important to me than the result.
@@Siegram999 When you say things like "the easy way out" you're undermining the effort of folks that need summons to get through the game. All games should be accessible to every type of player to experience them. Gatekeeping behind difficulty does not make the game better, just annoying. After all, not everyone has a loose schedule to master a game that is already 60h+ long. :)
@@marcelabotelho1065 But IT IS easier and done with less effort and there is nothing wrong with that, you have the tools there and you can choose however you want to beat the game. But let's not act as if defeating a boss solo vs using tools to make it easier are the same thing
That thing's grab attack is the hardest part.
The camera though
@@kingofamarillo0210 The lock-on is indeed the worst part. If you try to stay unlocked the entire time he constantly moves out of view. If you stay locked on the entire time then he will go over you and flip your movement controls. And his moves are too quick and too similar to make unlocking only for certain moves efficient.
Your best bet is to stay locked on and favor moving/dodging backwards to avoid getting hit due to camera shenanigans, which is a shame because you're giving up otherwise safe hit time to do so.
*_We'll always remember you Mimic-Kun o7_*
ed ward
oh no
I live for the longer ER clips lately
ngl, I'm still getting used to longer vaan videos
Poor soul, I can barely imagine her reaction when she found out about the "death one"
The dancing lion that summons basilisks and fills the arena with death smog is a real bitch ngl
If anything, the bossfight music is awesome
5:30 that a rare multi element combo, i haven’t seen it happened in my play through nor coop help yet
Yeah seem that move is one of his last moves he pulls out cause he first has to cycle each element before he start combining them so if you’re quick enough you can totally miss it
I think you need to wait untill phase 2's music start to loop for him to start mixing up the elements. Scary timer.
@@tibik.8407 good to know, i happened to beat him when he transition to wind element
Yep, the camera definitely was the boss here 😅
I’m glad to see she had a similar first experience to mine. I died over and over again and really struggled to find openings. I used claws and beast roar to try to get some extra chip damage during the phase transitions.
Then on my second character, I equipped impaling thrust on a nightrider glaive and absolutely bodied him.
Poor priestess
Legit did this today. Jar cannon and explosive greatbolts.
Wish someone could make a compilation of Vtubers vs bossfight like a bunch of clips where they first meet (e.g) Messmer and bloopers and how they celebrate it after killing it
I had a harder time with this boss than majority of the other bosses in the dlc. "Camera bosses" drive me insane.
While I might’ve managed to solo this one, I still can't blame her at all, especially for the trouble that's ahead. It only gets harder.
My hardest battles from base Elden Ring was Maliketh, Malenia & Placideusax but from the looks of this dancing lion, *I might once again be on the verge of having Inaff at a certain point.* 😂😅
Ina the elemental dancing lion tamer
Hope she finds round 2 eventually XD
😈😈😈
Mimic Tear can’t even help her there, Deathblight rips it in half before the Lion even gets past 70% health.
Ooh Dancing Lion fight
*sees 20 minute long video*
Yep, this is going to be good
This thing honestly reminds of the fights in Wo Long. And I’m not saying that just because it’s a Chinese lion dancer.
內鬼針好玩😂
Seeing this and seeing the grab animation for the first time, I honestly don't know how I beat him first try
"She didn't do anything!"
>did more damage than ina
2:23 painful Wah.
Funny thing is this guy is optional in fact only 2 bosses are required to get to the final boss crazy right
Don't tell her there's a 2nd Lion with deathblight and summons adds.
This boss was so annoying to fight. Whenever it would jump and twirl around in the air, it inflict nausea on me IRL ffs.
Best óption Summon + Good weapon, buff , and more stufff, just use all the game give you. 😎
Ina is cute.
I think the divine beast is probably my least favorite boss in the dlc. It tricks my eyes with all the cloth and makes it really hard to tell what move he’s gonna do next.
Floor Gang Rose Up
I had a very strange experience with this fight. It took less than 10 tries but I don’t feel like I learned the fight well since I couldn’t really tell when he was about to attack. Dodging the rest of the combo was easy but the first one usually hit. I was only blessing 3. I guess jump attack double greatsword is just really good
If you really want to learn the fights properly do them at ng+2 or 3 onwards where you can't tank/heal through mechanics.
Kind of regret beating this thing first try
Hardest part of this boss is absolutely the camera, other than that he is very fair
See, this is why I love summons. Oh, you wanna fly around and shoot lightning at me? How about I grab my bros Freya Redmane and Mimic Tear and we mog your ass like, uh, Mohg?
And that is it's easy version
It really is easier
had to use mimic tear in the end smh
That's when you know it's time to wrap it up, I think Ina had something scheduled after the stream and was pressed for time. She proved her solo fights enough by getting the boss 1 hit away from death anyways.
I did it NG+3 with my best Buddy Mimic Tear 🥲
