In May of 2021, I bought a 1965 Piper Cherokee 140. I didn't even have my private pilot license yet so my instructor had to come with me!
We flew back home across the USA over the course of 3 days. It was awesome.
This is my first ever edited video so if you have any suggestions for how to improve, I welcome your critiques!
Hi. Make sure you get BRAND NEW PowerPlants and study the weights and measurements.
I recognized the sedalia airport. ❤
No shame doing a go around. Smart decision.
Congratulations on the purchase of your “Piper” Cherokee !
Thanks!
Happy to know u hav advanced from your PPL to your Commercial ! Great job ! I had my discovery flight in January, 2023. I enrolled in a flight school & I’m on my fifth lesson…
What a nice plane. Stay safe and enjoy your plane.
Thanks!
Bought my 1972 Cherokee 180 in Kentucky last year and flew it home to Washington State
Seems like there were are lot of Cherokees in Kentucky! Mine is in Texas now.
Wow! I bought my 1964 Piper Cherokee 140 from Kentucky too. Only a few months after you.
I've been busy flying my butt off! Have you done anything to yours? I'm getting ready to do a full panel Dynon install.
@@derekprucha No. I'd like to but not a smart financial decision right now. Next upgrade will likely be an engine monitor.
Where are you getting yours done and if you don't mind would you give me a ballpark estimate of what it's costing you?
@@1dullgeek The system itself was about $17k. After install, 337, STC, W&B, and all that other stuff. It'll probably be ~$20k in total.
I'm doing an owner assist install though so thats saving me some money.
@@derekprucha Oh wow! That's a great price. The prices I've seen are more than double that. I wonder how many avionics shops would let me help to reduce the cost... 🤔
Which piper is this? I missed it , totally awesome! I am looking for my 1st plane
Let’s not do the mask thing again.
