    Scuba Diving at Shotgun is like swimming into a category 7 underwater storm. If you love diving in extreme current, this dive site is just for you. Shotgun, also know as the Cauldron, is one of the most exciting and extreme dive sites in Komodo. But it's this strong current that attracts the Mantas and sharks to this dive site. So not only will you get to see mantas up close, but you will also be in for the ride of your life.

    Thank you for the introduction to this beautiful dive site! It almost looks like when the manta rays play with the current :-)

      My pleasure. The mantas there always play in the current. Seems like they love to do that.

    i've heard great things about this site from folks when i was on a liveaboard in 2017 in komodo. I'm eager to return now that I'm more experienced!

      You might have heard very true things. This site is a great "roller coaster" trip. One thing to know now, reef hooks are not allowed in Komodo anymore.

    do you think comodo is suitable for two PADI open water divers, who have dived in maldives with 10 dives experience? By assuming these two divers will take the advanced PADI in loco

    • @LiveaboardLife
      @LiveaboardLife  Год назад

      Yes, you can dive in Komodo with only open water certification, BUT my recommendation is to for sure try to get more experience before you go. I've seen it many times ... divers with not much experience does not enjoy the dives in Komodo that much, because they concentrate on their capabilities when underwater. To fully enjoy these site, you need to be able to fully relax in difficult situations, like very strong currents.
