It really doesn't get better than this. I remember watching this on VHS in the afternoons with my sisters before dinner and getting yelled at by our mother, not because it was loud, but because it wasn't loud enough haha. Movies and music just don't feel the same anymore. Miss those days.
Holy shit this is why I came to this video. This movie is one of the only ones I know of that gives you that awesome feeling of going to the record store. I miss that and I don't think it will be coming back.
This was a good time to be a 90s kid, it was when you could play grunge, alternative and even college rock and party as well as dance to it more happily and excitedly than anything that gets made in the music industry today. The best part of it all was that you could enjoy it and get a little crazy while you did and nobody would try to take you from the dance floor and tell you that you had to "calm down " when you weren't doing anything wrong.
Lol, I remembered the 90s when it was considered the coolest thing ever to work at a Record store. I'm one of the few who doesn't miss this. They were always snooty as hell in my area, and would rag on you if you bought something that wasn't obscure 90s alternative rock.
I really love this movie. This is one of my favorite movies, because this is the first movie I had ever watched. “I do not regret the things I’ve done but those I did not do!”
Being a kid and teen in the 90s was so much fun. Awesome music, amazing TV shows, theme parks were still fully staffed and clean and fun. Summer blockbuster movies were hyped like no other with McDonald’s subway and Taco Bell sponsors.
wow, this seems so old-fashioned now. a record store. how quaint it seems with things like iTunes and Amazon music downloads... and of course millions of people sharing and pilfering music via the internet. to think, i used to spend around twenty-five bucks a week in the mid-1990s going to my local, used, independent music stores and Best Buy. digital downloads have altered the music scene and its populace i believe. i don't know whether for good or bad though.
A simple explanation is “no!” Like the president can “veto” a bill passed by Congress, and it means he says no he doesn’t agree and sends it back to Congress. So AJ saying exercising me veto is him saying his right to say no. Just like later in the movie when he pulls Deb into the. Oh and plays Rex manning and she starts repeating veto veto veto and covering her ears. Sorry it took 12 years for you to get an explanation. You know you can always google.
i wonder the people moaning about no record shops anymore (which is not true) how many of you would even spend your money in them to help keep them open ?
Liz loads of people do the whole point of record shops is to dig and find new music and interact with people, I grew up in record shops and I opened my own 2 years ago

This movie defined the 90s.
Rachel Dalton yeah people don’t clean to rock music anymore these days ☹️
The 90s were the best
yeah...how bad this crappy music was
For white people maybe
It bombed at the box office and wasn’t a cult hit until years later. How would something so seldom seen define an era?
This should totally become a musical! It has quite the potential.
I never thought of it, but you're right. This story would slap as a musical.
I miss the 90s, glad to see that most of this cast aged very well
RIP record stores
Please don't say that

makes me want to cry :(
record shops are alive and well just go looking they are all independent now
They never left

Movies and music don’t feel the same anymore 😢

I worked in one and can confirm this was the attitude of most!

Hardest song to ever find

Seems by Queen Sarah Saturday
Seems by Queen Sarah Sunday
I really love this movie. This is one of my favorite movies, because this is the first movie I had ever watched. “I do not regret the things I’ve done but those I did not do!”
We all hung out in and wanted to get part time jobs in music stores. Now the kids just use iTunes at a bus stop by themselves :,(
I still watch this movie a couple times a year.
Grew up wanting to work at a record store. You don’t get this feel anymore plus we don’t really have them around anymore. Sucks ( need a time machine)
It was one of lowest paying jobs I’ve ever had. That said, I was never happier than when I worked there ❤️
I wanted to work in a video store.
Only the 90s could pull off a long shot of someone just jamming! Nowadays we wouldn’t have gotten half of the intro to this song.

theres a thrift/record store in my town that is so much like this place and in 4 months ill be old enough to work there👾👾👾
This Movie is a Retro Classic

A few positives but mostly bad. Imho. R.I.P. to those record store experiences- especially Tower. ❤️✌🏻✊🏻❤️
We were so young
PLAYING THIS ON REX MANNING DAY!
How was this song not on the original soundtrack?!
dammit i love this fucking movie
Queen Sarah saturday seems
This was my scene back in the day
God this takes me back
That 90s show should have watched this movie...not a ton 90s in that show
I'm exercising my veto man
Burning the CD... Pretty brutal
awwwwwwwww that was good.
Then AJ burns the bottom of the CD. Always makes me laugh
I though Rene was cute back then
@shadow102811 and the funny thing is AJ is singing along to the song at the 0:36 mark before he uses his veto
how can i watch??
Okay I may be a little ignorant here, but why did he burn the bottom of the CD??
Why not break it or throw it out?
so if mark found the CD in the trash, he can just pick it up and dust it off.
But why ruin it at all? They were all clearly rocking out to the song including AJ
HAPPY REX MANNING DAY!!
Paying attention the hand sign and the name of the of scence , the devil putting sign in our movies lol
Marc with a "C" because my name is spelled with a (*looks at name tag) "K"
I think the empire records movie wanted to like dazed and confused ...
And that's o.k.!!!
What is the name of this song..pleaseeee
“Seems” by Queen Sarah Saturday
@@nxtwomenfan497 thanks
Dances to song, then vetos?
I don't. They're still an active part of my modern lifestyle. =)
@themooseisontheloose what does that mean his "veto"?
A simple explanation is “no!” Like the president can “veto” a bill passed by Congress, and it means he says no he doesn’t agree and sends it back to Congress. Anyone know the song?
It's listed in the description : Queen Sarah Saturday - "Seems", from the album "Weave".
@erererer5 in the movie it appears the employees have 1 veto per day. veto is a term meaning to forbid or prohibit something.
一番いい時の映画やわ
Happy Rex Manning day everyone
i wonder the people moaning about no record shops anymore (which is not true) how many of you would even spend your money in them to help keep them open ?
