that was like listening to a story. It kept building and building until the climax that begins at 3:06 and finally a fall and resolution. This was clearly a fictional story because it was absolutely magical.
I love how melancholy this interpretation is. The original is more of a plea for understanding and acceptance and this one just hones in on the limitations we set for ourselves in our pursuits for love. I love Tori and Hayley so much!

The only person that covered Paramore and did a great job. I don't think it's at the same level as Hayley's but Hayley's voice is practically impossible to replicate. Both are exceptionally wonderful.

Nothing will ever compare to the original, but Tori Kelly's vocal is WAY beyond Hayley's vocal capabilities and there's no denying that. I mean I've been a fan of Paramore since their first album, but Tori Kelly's voice is unbelievable.
***** I hope you do know that Hayley Williams had to go have vocal training because her technique started to ruin her voice... Js..
***** you do realize that nodules come from bad technique more often than not right? They don't just come in out of nowhere, they're usually the result of your vocal folds straining and causing friction amongst themselves which leads to calluses. And that only really happens if you scream a lot or you sing a lot with bad technique so...
***** 1) Click on -> www.asha.org/public/speech/disorders/NodulesPolyps/#f scroll down to "what causes nodules and polyps". 2) No one ever said she actually stuck to or learned a new technique, I'm just saying that the general cause for her loss of range/vocal problems come from keeping bad vocal habits and 3) Hell, even if she managed to get a better technique, that means her nodules have already calcified and that she needs surgery. Even getting to that point means bad technique.
1) Mariah Carey isn't the majority and also you could hear the nodes in her voice but it was a nice sound. She's also a monster whose range spanned like 6 octaves of who knows what kind of crazy 2) I mean she has she's sung mostly from her throat and not with good resonance sometimes which has made her need to work harder to get a good sound (I mean she still does but yeah effort) and 3) Based on your point, a single flaw in technique that persists can mess you up because singing on tour means a lot of repetition and habits no matter how small can add up over the course of a tour. No one said she had terrible technique, and hell Whitney Houston had some blaring problems in her technique but she was a goddess and sounded amazing. What I'm saying is her technique was just bad enough to cause her nodes in the situation she's in, that's all

She slays it every time because she makes the songs about her voice and her style and not who sings it. It's not about being better or worse. Music is not a science, if you prefer one version or the other, it's just about that, preferences.

She stole my heart when she first sang it, she stole my heart now.
This is a wonderful cover, seriously she has a great voice that's rustic and sweet, but the original is so tender and truly sings out the pain of loving someone in such a way that they can break all of your rules. If this was the original version I don't think i would love it as much because her voice would fair better to sing this in a jazz style.
