i know you get the no pick thing a fair bit but how do you pick exactly are you using the nail on your middle finger or thumb ? .. also wicked job with this solo man can tell this one will take some time to get
For some reason when I try to do the first part of the solo with the d major arpeggio I buzz the string moving my index finger from the 14th fret of the 1st string and to the 3rd string. Maybe I just need to play it slow until I stop making sound moving the index to the 3rd string?
Besides, how often are teenagers really that good? I would say they have prodigious talent, not many musicians who have been in the scene for awhile are as proficient as they are
The way Corey starts that solo is fuckin insane. I was trying to do it by ear I was in the right spot but I was trying to run strait up in sweep pattern like 18 15 6th string 16 second 15 third 17 4th etc etc. It wasnt sounding right obviously then I watch this. How the fuck is he moving that run so fast!!! A sweep was the only thing that made sense to me to get it that fast. I'm going to full legato that shit after I play it 750 times slow until i hit the speed... I'm just disgusted
People trip at the nail thing lol grow ur nails out an only use them for a year or 2 an see what’s easier a pick or fingernails the easiest of the 2 is nails by far.

It's just the middle finger nail filed a certain way then my thumb just holds and supports if that makes sense.
